Ajaccio had spent a long time looking at the older yearbooks, part of seeing them had originally been part of what had made him want to be a part of the club. To see all the older clubs, all of the old students, the students who were now professors, or students who were in their last years when he was in his first. They always held such interesting stories, but so many of them had been pushed aside, people hadn't been able to look at the oldest ones, and there was only ever one of a few, so he with the team, rather than another supers, since he didn't have the time, so a focus on these older yearbooks and inviting people to take the time to look at them seemed in order.

Ajax had set up a table in the library and had placed multiple copies of each yearbook from y2 to y39, with y1 not having set up a yearbook and a latter one where he couldn't find any evidence of one existing. Something about 2020 being a bit of a cursed year. There was plenty of space to sit down and just read them over, and marvel in what had once been.

OOCOut of Character:

If you head on over here to Yearbook Archive's you'll notice they've been updated. Since the site moved a few years ago, the old of yearbooks which had existed on a different hosting site were left behind, with the focus on getting the new site going. Accio has been working towards gathering these back up and re-posting them, which is the finished job you now see.

Only two yearbooks don't exist, but all others are there, with only a few pages in the early ones lost to the tinypic purge. Head on over and take a look at old characters, see some familiar faces and about what clubs used to exist.

This thread is to allow IC reactions from everyone to seeing the old yearbooks.

Eugene had thoroughly enjoyed working with accio to get the old yearbooks back to a good started. He loved looking at them, finding old professors, seeing how long some had been there. the old Professor Styx hadn't always been at the school which had surprised Eugene. He liked looking at them all. He greeted Ajax as the table was set up, but was already opening the yearbook from y2, and flicking to the back, "Do you think we should bring back ads?" he said joking, it was so interesting to see the ways in which the yearbook both had and hadn't changed. It was so much fun.

Leia had always been quite closely linked with Accio despite never having been a part of it. Given both Vader and his deep involvement in it. She'd seen pictures of Hogwarts long before she'd gone. She had lost touch with it, focusing on her work and focusing on only the most recent. So the Slytherin therefore welcome the opportunity to look back at different yearbooks. She greeted Ajax with a little smile and counted backwards to her first year. It wasn't even especially far back, but given she was almost at the end of her schooling, not quite in the final year, but close enough to it. She opened up the yearbook from her first year and sat down in one of the spots. She found her young first year face, and those of the others. That of her friend Kia's and Chrissy and then to Majora, Kalif and Luxen. She missed Luxen to a degree more than the rest. He had brought out the worst in her, but she'd liked him. How much they'd all changed and who of them was even left.

Aurora had for her whole life been surrounded by people who'd gone to hogwarts. Her grandparents on her mum's side hadn't, and she knew from what her dad said that they hadn't either, but on that side they were both dead. She had heard about Hogwarts from her dad, her mum, her aunt, her uncle, their partners and then her brother. Hogwarts had been just so much of her life, that the opportunity to look back was interesting. She'd heard about it, during a tea break with her dad, and had come back with Rosie to the library. She tried to pick out which one would be when her parents had at school. She opened it and then squealed with laughter. "Rosie! Look it's mum, in her second year," she said excitedly, showing Rosie the page.

Rosie wasn't one for looking to the past, she found it fun to have family that went to hogwarts, and enjoyed hearing their stories of it. She just didn't always see the point in looking back, looking forward was better, being better. Flowers died and that was a part of a cycle. She was however very keen to look at and see old pictures of her parents, and of Auntie Sara and Uncle Ty or even Auntie Rhi. She followed Aurora in and waved to the people already there, but was immediately drawn into what Aurora was looking at. She looked at the picture and then pointed to the one next to her. "And Aunt Sara," she said. They both looked so young, only about a year old than they were currently. "Did they go to the halloween feast?!"

Out of boredom and idle curiosity, Aine wandered in to the library to check out this yearbook event that they had on, wondering if she might see her mentor amongst the really old yearbooks. She knew she had to have been a student in the really early years, and the yearbook quality wasn't the best considering their age. Still, the fact they'd been preserved as well as they were was impressive, and she had to hand it to the yearbook club, they obviously cared about their work.

She eventually spotted her, albeit under a different name than she'd given. Was it her? There was similarities in the face, and it couldn't be anyone else, she realized. Perhaps she'd have to ask her sometime, she thought, frowning as she bored holes in to the yearbook pages with her stare.

Yvonne had heard about the yearbook event in passing and was pleased to see it up and running as she entered the library to return a book. She went over to the table that held all of the old books and ran her finger along the spins until she found the issue that lined up with the year she graduated from Ilvermorny. She knew she wasn't going to see familiar faces but she was curious to see who would have been her peers if she had some how ended up here instead of Massachusetts. She laughed to herself as she flipped through the pages, relived to see some of the fashion choices or mistakes she had made were more universal that she realized.

Branson had long been curious about the old yearbooks. It was something he'd tried to look at in the past but hadn't ever gone far enough back. He had therefore been really happy when his dad had let him in on knowing this was happening. He'd gleefully looked forward to it. He spotted his sister's immediately and grabbed one of the yearbooks of the same year as well as the one after it. he'd have to look up uncle Ty after. But for now, he found a spot next to his sisters and began looking at the first one he'd grabbed. His expression frowning at his father. He looked like him, he knew that, but there was just a lot off about his dad in the picture that stared back at him. He knew from how the adults all acted and the fact his grandparents on his dad's side were dead, and had been dead a long while. But he couldn't quite put together all he was seeing and what he knew.

After years of working on the yearbook, Finn had been fascinated to see the old issues going back decades before he had even been born. He had never really thought about the legacy of the yearbook before, just enjoying the actual act of photographing people and putting it all together. But his work was part of the school's history now, a history that his nieces and nephews would be looking back on decades in the future. He picked up a particular copy to flick through again, already knowing the years he was looking for. There she was - his mum, eleven years old. Finn knew about her past, of course, but seeing it there on paper was so different. Smiling as brightly as she was, Finn found it hard to see how this girl could have been the angry child Mum had described so solemnly. But he knew it was true, saw his mum's painful past buried between these pages. He couldn't help sneaking a glance at the uncle he had never met before going in search of more recent issues, smiling at the sight of Odette so young, before she had been part of their family. She had been an angry child too, he knew, and seeing the peace Odette and Mum had found since these photos were taken warmed Finn's heart.

Connor had been pleasantly surprised when the yearbook club announced they were holding an event to showcase the old yearbooks, but he had still hesitated for a long time before deciding to attend. His relationship with his extended family was still a complicated one, and he didn't know how he felt about looking them up in the yearbook. Curiosity won out in the end though and he had made his way to the library, digging through a few old books to find the pictures he was looking for. Rose, so cheerful even so young... Phoebe, looking curious and mischevious as ever right from her first day... Diana scaring him every bit as much as an eleven year old as she did in her twenties. Alice, every bit the sweet girl who had somehow taken him under her wing despite Eric's aggression. He skimmed through a few books, smiling slightly as he reached his own younger years. He had been so scared in his first few years of school, and Connor felt a rush of nostalgia, looking back. If he had known what was ahead, he was sure younger Connor wouldn't have been so upset with his own lot in life. Hogwarts hadn't been kind to him, and Connor barely recognised the person he had been when he started school. Stomach twisting slightly, he set the book down and headed off, suddenly uncomfortable with the reminders.
