"…to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?"

Her fingers entwined with her fiancé’s, Estrella had eyes only for him as those crucial words hovered in the air. This was it. Her turn was next, and she was ready. Most would call her crazy for doing this at eighteen. Crazy she would be. She did not harbor any regrets, did not worry about what others would light on as missed opportunities. She was certain of the road she had decided to travel down. While she could not see to the end of the path, Jaken would be at her side. He was all she needed. With the rest of those in attendance, all of the people that were behind them in this decision they had decided to make, she waited for him to speak.

Jaken murmured, "I do." He said it, those two words that meant everything to him. Estrella was finally going to be his forever. And he was going to be hers. Eighteen and young, but he knew that this was right. His father will murder him for finding out, but hell, Jaken didn't care. Not right now. With the broad grin on his face, he could not wait for Estrella's answer. Jaken had to remember where the rings were. Luckily he chose the right sizes. Didn't he? Jaken was positive everything was perfect, just like everything was perfect right now.

Estrella could not describe the emotions that were assaulting her at this moment. Clutching Jaken's hands even tighter, she did not break her gaze from his for one second. As the words were repeated back to her, the young woman stated firmly, "I do." Her smile spread even wider, if that was possible. And were those tears stinging at the sides of her eyes? The wedding was simple- reflected in her dress, the small number of witnesses, the little amount of festivity- and it couldn't have been any more wonderful. "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Jaken beamed, and he took out the rings, and he slipped the female's onto her finger after hearing the words. He stared at his new wife, and he murmured, "This is all great..." He bent down to plant the final kiss upon the bride. Everything was just so right. Nothing could take this away from him. A simple wedding. Nothing too big or small. All the important people were there and that was all he wanted. Friends and very few family. The ones he could actually trust. Jaken wondered what it was like to be Estrella for a moment. Mrs. Styx... It was just too wonderful to really think about without tearing up. Or fainting.

Lily sat behind in the chairs behind the couple and watched in awe. Her best friend was getting married. She was still stunned that they were actually doing this. To be so sure of their love at such a young age was amazing to her. She loves Blake, she really does, but if he wanted her to commit to him forever right then, she would be hard pressed to answer him.

She teared up as they were pronounced husband and wife. She stood up and clapped for them, so excited for her friend. Estrella Styx would take some getting used to, but she would come around. As the coulple moved about the gathered few, Lily hugged her friend, then moved about the room and greeted the others gathered.

The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and Kat was so glad that she'd been invited. She practically blubbered like a baby during the whole thing even though she had promised herself that she wasn't going to cry. Weddings were such happy occasions and she wondered if she herself would ever get married. Of course she wanted to and she knew to whom, but did he want to marry her as well? Only time would tell, but for now she was going to be happy for the newly joined couple.

Sumner sat quietly beside his girlfriend and silently offered her a handkerchief. He'd never been to a wedding before. He had to admit it was moving; seeing his friend going through something so life changing was a big deal. His hand came down and lightly squeezed hers, he glanced at her, love in his light eyes and smiled reassuringly before looking ahead again.

Cyndi watched nearly the entire ceremony with blurred vision. She couldn't keep from crying as she watched two of her fellow graduates and friends exchange their wedding vows and declare their love for each other. It was all so romantic to watch. She could remember back to a time when Estrella and Cyndi sat in Ancient Runes and did a reading about the relationship. She couldn't remember the end result of the reading, but today, she knew it didn't matter. She could see in her friend's eyes just how happy and in love she was.

She clapped and wiped at her eyes as they were pronounced husband and wife, and as soon as she could Cyndi hugged the newlyweds and then stood by talking to several of her old classmates as Mr. and Mrs. Styx circulated throughout the room.

Chace had seen Jaken propose to the Head Girl, and while he was surprised he was happy as he could be for the couple. He was even more surprised when he received an invitation to their wedding. It had taken a great deal of effort to travel to the United States for the occasion, not to mention convincing his parents to let him go. He was quite fortunate to have taken Muggle Studies; his feeble communication skills managed to get him where he needed to be with only a few stares his way. What was so wrong with wearing a nice set of robes?

The Slytherin arrived just before the start of the ceremony, taking the first empty seat he laid eyes on. He didn't realize until he was already situated that he was right next to Kat and Sumner. sh1t.

He tried to ignore that daunting fact as the wedding began. The whole ceremony was very nice and simple, something that Chace delighted in. Staying completely still was not a favorite past-time of his. Was he ever destined to find true love?

Kat graciously took the handkerchief from Sumner and wiped her eyes with it and then blew her nose before handing it back to him saying, "Thanks! I just get so weepy at these things. It's all so romantic...I just can't help myself." The fact that Chace was sitting on the opposite side of her didn't go unknown to her and she was sure that Sumner noticed too. She squeezed his hand to remind him that it was him that she had chosen to be with, that he was the one that held her heart captive, that it always was and always would be nobody but him. With that being done she looked at Chace and smiled saying, "It was a lovely ceremony wasn't it?"

Andy arrived with the beginnings of tears in her eyes already, she had only ever been to one wedding and had blubbered like a baby through the whole thing. Delighted that Estrella and Jaken had thought to invite her she looked about the group of guests and seeing Kat headed over to sit with her. With Sumner on one side and Chace on the other, Andy could only smile. Kat sure did get herself into situations, though she wasn't far off getting herself into fixes lately either. Sitting on the other side of Chace she smiled down the line and gave Kat a wave before turning her attention back to the ceremony as it began.

True to form, Andy had to pull out a hanky and wipe her eyes constantly. It was beautiful, she was beautiful. They were made for each other alright. The ceremony finished and she stood up with the others to clap and cheer, and wipe the rest of her tears away. Hoping she hadn't messed up her make up any.

"That was simply so romantic" she sighed, holding her hands up to her chest like a love sick puppy.

As the ceremony before him unfolded, Blake couldn't manage to tear his eyes away from the two. Seeing the pair finalize their wedding vows gave Blake a certain feeling of hope that maybe, someday, that would be him and Lily. He believed in love for all ages, hell he was living proof of that. And as he watched Estrella and Jaken say their "I do's", Blake knew that they were too. Turning in his seat, Blake stole a glance at Lily sitting at his side. He had so much to look forward to with her, and he loved the security she gave him. He couldn't even remember a time when he wasn't in love with her.
Blake nodded at Jaken silently, as the other guests swarmed around him and Estrella. He would congratulate his god-sibling later when her hands weren't quite so full. It was quite shocking for Blake to be here at Estrella's wedding. He remembered the first time he met her at one of the shops years before, when neither of them knew of their relation to the other. But as time passed and the family reunions frequented annually, Blake got used to the idea of being somewhat related to the former Head Girl.
Now Blake stood near the refreshments table alone, as Lily had wandered off to greet some of her friends. Quietly, observantly, he watched her from his side of the room, and once again his mind wandered to the certain possibilities their lives held before them. This school holiday had seen to some good changes, and Blake knew that it was bound to be one he would never forget.

Luke wasn't sure how he should feel about his cousin- who was practically his little sister- getting hitched. He didn't even know this guy that she was marrying- he was one of those magical folk, a member of a world that Luke could never be a part of, and he had a strange accent. However, the blond cast aside his natural distrust and decided to back them in their decision. At least making his way to the wedding had been easy. He took an open seat next to a redhead, observing those around him. He had to remind himself that although he was surrounded by some very gorgeous girls, they were probably too young for him.

Never one to get sappy, even the young muggle found himself a bit sentimental. "It was, wasn't it," he murmured, responding to the girl sitting next to him(who happened to be Andy.) He had yet to see any familiar faces besides his cousin's, and he figured making simple chatter wouldn't hurt. It was better than standing around like a buffoon.

Katerina couldn't help but fight back a couple of tears of elation for her friend, Estrella. She had been a little astonished to learn that she was going to be married so early - at 18, as a matter of fact - but Katerina was happy for her friend. Jaken had turned out to be a pretty good guy, and Katerina was glad to have found that out in her fifth year. She had found out a lot in her fifth year, and most of it had improved her life dramatically. At this, she turned to her beloved boyfriend, Yvan, a contented smile etched across her face, before leaning against the love of her life, looking back at the happy couple with tears of joy blurring her vision.
As the 'I do's' were said, Katerina applauded along with everyone else, the friends of the bride and groom. She noticed Katalina in the small gathering and smiled - she would have to greet the younger girl later.
Standing arm in arm with Yvan, making sure she hadn't crumpled her plum coloured dress while seated, Katerina watched as the happy couple mingled with the assorted guests. She knew that this wedding, this happy occaision - it was the start of something, the start of a happy future. Not only for the two people at the centre, Estrella and Jaken, but for all those around them. For their friends, who were truly lucky to know such wonderful people. Katerina counted herself as very lucky indeed.

Andy turned at the sound of the male voice on the other side of her and hoped her eyes weren't all puffy and red. Her nose probably was as she smiled and nodded at him. She hadn't had a clue what to wear to the wedding and seriously hoped that what she chose wasn't too understated. Everyone looked fabulous. It had taken every bit of pull that her godmother had just to get this emergency pass abroad for the wedding, the fact that so many magical people were going to be around helped alot. Especially as there would also be muggles about at the wedding. She had to report in to the American ministry as soon as she arrived, actually having to travel by floo network from the ministry in New Zealand to the ministry in America. She understood the precautions they needed to take but surely at this point they understood she would never be a worry for them.

She nodded her head once again at the man beside her.
"Are you on the groom or brides side?" she sniffed smiling at him, not sure what else to say in the circumstances.

It was a lovely ceremony wasn't it? For the sake of peace, Chace had expected Kat to be oblivious to him for the entirety of the occasion. He found himself turning to her, not taking measures to mask his bewilderment. "It was, definitely," he murmured, flashing his teeth as he smiled. He didn't care much if Sumner thought he was being too friendly. They were at a wedding, for Merlin's sake, and he would hope the Ravenclaw would at least have enough respect to keep his fists down. Chace had noticed who was sitting to the other side of him. He gave her a sheepish smile of greeting, though he wasn't entirely sure what to say. Did fate have to throw him in the same row as Kat, Sumner, and Andy? He lifted his collar, grimacing as he had to peel it away, sweat dotting the lightest article of clothing he had. On top of it being hotter than hell, no one else was wearing robes. Talk about embarrassment.

Kat smiled at Chace. It was then she realized that she'd never properly thanked him for what he'd done for her several months prior and more importantly apologized for her boyfriend's unruly behavior. She felt a slight flutter in her stomach, but she quickly dismissed it and pushed it from her mind. Kat leaned around and waved at Andy, smirking slightly at the irony of the four of them sitting side by side all in a row. Returning her attention back to Chace she noticed he looked uncomfortable and seemed to be sweating. She couldn't tell if it was from his nerves or from his attire. He was the only wizard in attendance who was wearing traditional dress robes. It made her giggle to herself slightly. She herself had chosen to go with a black and gray strapless dress for today's event. Before she made matters worse Kat turned back to Sumner, her hand still in his. She leaned in closer, resting her head on his shoulder. "So what do you think of all this," she asked curiously, wanting to know what his opinion on marriage was at this point. She knew she loved him beyond all measure and without a shadow of a doubt wanted to spend all her life together with him...did he feel the same?

Cyndi saw some of her friends standing around talking to each other. She walked over to Andy, who looked lovely in her outfit and smiled. She had difficulty choosing an outfit and had finally settled on a purple dress with black heels.

"Hey Andy. How was your trip in?" She remembered Andy explaining in defense class the difficulties with leaving the country and traveling. Seeing a guy she didn't recognize by her side, Cyndi apologized. "I'm sorry. Was I interrupting something?"

Sumner stiffened when he spotted Chace. Kat squeezed his hand and that one simple act calmed him down. He relaxed his muscles, and even managed a congenial nod in Chace's direction. He'd never ruin his friend and former teammate's day by their rivalry. When Kat's attention was back to him, "I think they look like they'll be happy. Not a bad thing really, considering." He kissed her cheek.

Smiling warmly back at the redhead, Luke responded simply, "Bride's my cousin. How about you?" He hoped for his own sake that this girl was not too much younger than him; he didn't want to come off as some sort of creeper. He would put her at seventeen or eighteen. The blond man shook his head at the other girl who started talking to the redhead. She was attractive too. He was surrounded by hot girls, and they were probably all way too young for him. Oh, the injustice. "Nah, you're fine."

Andy turned at the sound of Cyndi's voice and smiled warmly as she hugged her.
"Cyndi great to see you here" she knew exactly what her bestfriend meant about her travelling and could only smile at her as she nodded her head, "Had to pull in a few favours but from one ministry to the next, all under control" she laughed.
Her answer may have been enigmatic but she couldn't very well blurt out that her werewolf papers had only just gotten taken care of that morning.
The man beside her had said he was Estrella's cousin as Cyndi had walked over, so she turned to him now with a smile.
"I'm friends with both of them, we met at school actually" she told him before shaking her head at Cyndi and as the man also let her know she hadn't interrupted anything at all.
"Nope, I don't even know him. I'm Andromeda by the way" she held out her long slender hand to him with a smile. It was typical that all the really gorgeous guys at the wedding were either taken or too old.

Due to time constraints and thusly, half of the guests not being able to post in this thread after Sunday, we're jumping right ahead to the party. Sorry to inconvenience anyone.

Estrella didn't know if it was possible to be happier than she already was. The night was warm, but not suffocating. A cool breeze wafted in occasionally from the ocean as the waves met the shore lazily, pulling back and moving forward in a never-ending rhythm. She didn't want to be anywhere but here at this moment, surrounded by the people she knew and loved. They had rented out this small section of the beach for the reception. Spells had been placed around the perimeters so muggles wouldn't wander towards them and see the tiny lights that were zipping to and fro amongst those in attendance, the magical radio blasting strange music, or a big fat chocolate cake hovering in the middle of the pavilion. Luke had to be practically dragged into the party. The bride grasped a can of pop/soda and wandered amongst her friends, having long since abandoned her shoes for soft sand. It was impossible to stop smiling.

Andy had so far enjoyed the day, it was wonderful and to be part of Estrella and Jaken's happiness just seemed like an added bonus. Of course it tore at her heart that she wasn't spending time with Bruin here, she had written to him to say she was here but no letter had come back and she would be back home again tomorrow. There had been the slightest hope that he might just show up but it was short lived.

She drank her glass of sparkling water and after changing her
clothes to be more suitable for beach wear, Andy followed the crowd down to the glorious beach. Smiling as she saw Estrella looking still beautiful, she envied her the happiness she had found with Jaken. Often she wondered would she ever find that again or if she had truly found it before. Slipping out of her sandals, she held them in her hands as she walked to the waters edge and let her feet paddle for a bit.

Looking out across the ocean, Andy knew there was only one way for her to go from her on in and that was basically to break other hearts instead of her own getting hit all the time or to simply go out and have fun without any strings attached. Surely there were guys out there who didn't mind some harmless flirting. She smiled to herself as she began to walk along the seashore.

Walking into the pavillion, Lily smiled. It was beautiful. The only problem she had was her shoes. Quickly, she kicked them off so she could go barefoot in the sand. Her white jacket that she wore over a black tshirt was quickly discarded as well. The temperature was perfect and she felt comfortable on the beach.

Walking around, she worked her best to avoid Ford and happened to practically run into Luke when she wasn't watching where she was going. "Merlin, I am sorry," she said before she realized who she had just run into. "PUKEY!! Oh my goodness how are you?" she yelled out, jumping up to give him a huge hug.

Luke had long since opted for a t-shirt and shorts, figuring the party would be as occasional as any. He had also lent some regular clothes to the younger kid who had shown up in what looked like a Halloween costume. The twenty one year old had been out West only a few times, but he sure appreciated the weather. For the good part of the party he had been keeping to himself, finding it difficult to mingle with people who were in a world he was not a part of.

He was wandering along the beach with an orange pop in hand as someone yelled out his dreaded nickname. The drink went flying out of his hands and splashed all over the sand as he was barreled into. Despite his state of shock he hugged the girl back whom he recognized as Lily, Estrella's friend. And she was even cuter than she had been before. With a sheepish grin, he exclaimed, "Well, if it isn't Lily! Fancy seeing you here."
