Adorah had never been one for dueling. She still struggled to process how she had let herself be recruited to help proctor, but here she was, trying out new things since Noel was gone for the year. The professor stood near the platform as she looked at the two young duelers and gave them a soft smile. "One of you go to that side and the other over here. You'll bow and then start. The person who wins will advance to the next round. Begin!" she said, making sure she was out of the direct line of spells - hopefully.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours from this to post your first reply, or face disqualification. Once both duelists have posted, you will have 24 hours from your opponent's post to reply, or be disqualified. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. Please also remember site rules apply, including power/god modding. You can find the site rules here. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitor's post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels. Duelers cannot cast spells at the spectators or face disqualification.

Teddy knew that being three times dueling champion meant that competition would be fierce for his crown. He was ready to defend that title as best he could though. He jumped up to the platform to face Aurora first. He bowed, then quickly sent the Stinging Hex. "I must say, you are looking lovely today! Is that all your own hair back?" He teased. It had been one year since their last duel so he expected that it was.

Aura shielded herself from the stinging hex and glared at Teddy. They might have had a slightly playful relationship, though she would never have said she considered him a friend, but up here he was in her way. "All my own hair, yes, no thanks to you, but I have a wig waiting on the sidelines for you, you know just in case," she said, gesturing vaguely in the general direction of audience. "I think your boyfriend would like to see you bald." so she of course sent the scalping hex at him, just as a bit of a warm up.

Teddy’s greatest strength in duelling was his speed and timing. He just had a knack for blocking at just the right moment, which he proved blocking the hex. His weakness was he couldn’t resist distracting himself with banter. “A wig won’t be necessary, but thanks for being so thoughtful,” he quipped, before casting “Incarcerous!” which was one of the spells he’d been practising for the tournament. "Speaking of boyfriends, how is Dante? I swear he's been giving me stink eye all year."
