May 3rd, 2034 | Hogwarts New Zealand | Cypress Wood, Erumpent Hide Core |

St Mungo's Healer | Pureblood | Kinesthetic learner (tactile) |

Zennon is about 6'2 with a lean build due to working out because of the many hours he often spends on his feet. He has brown eyes that are very expressive and you can usually work out what he's thinking/feeling through the way his eyes look. He has dark hair and it's typically kept quite casual and slightly tousled as he likes to look put together, and a little bit impressive, but he wants to remain approachable for anyone. His jaw is well defined and he gets that from his father (now deceased) and his traitorous eyebrows make him too easily readable by most people.
Clothing Style;
Zennon tends to wear clothes that are a blend of the practical and the fashionable - something his mother used to have quite an eye for. He likes his clothing to be suitable to all environments and tends to be more dressed up unless he has no intentions of being anywhere other than at home.

Zennon tends to wear clothes that are a blend of the practical and the fashionable - something his mother used to have quite an eye for. He likes his clothing to be suitable to all environments and tends to be more dressed up unless he has no intentions of being anywhere other than at home.
- Healer robes: these are standard attire for his shifts at St Mungo's and so he always keeps them in impeccable condition, mostly because he's proud of his work, but also because he's proud of what he's managed to make of himself despite some early failings.
- Casual wear: to dress more casually, Zennon tends to wear more comfortable clothing under his robes, that allow for freedom of movement and for if he has to jump into or out of trouble at a moment's notice. This includes;
- Comfortable jeans or slacks that he can move around in
- Button up shirts in mostly neutral or muted tones, often with his sleeves rolled up above the elbows
- Old leather boots that are generally both durable and stylish, the perfect thing for him.
- Accessories: he tends to keep these pretty casual as he can't really wear too much if he's working on the off chance something happens, but he can be a little stylish with his choices;
- A simple wristwatch that he uses to keep time, this is a remnant from his days in the muggle world and is old and only works due to the upkeep of Zennon's magic.
- A sports scarf or beanie that he occasionally wears during the cooler months to add a little bit of style to his outfits.
Zennon was born into a Pureblood wizarding family, a lineage that has somehow managed to maintain through multiple generations despite not being specifically about blood purity. His parents Nadine and Wyatt ensure their children were well-versed in the traditions and responsibility that come with their important heritage. Despite the, often disgusting, emphasis on blood status in the magical community and some pureblood circles, the Baros family (or at least this branch) have always prioritised values like integrity and compassion with a strong work ethic over anything suitably inherent. This upbringing instilled in Zennon a more balanced perspective than some people in the wizarding community had, which allowed him to navigate both his parents expectations and his own personal beliefs with more of a firm understanding of the world and his place in it.
Origins;
Zennon was born at Baros Manor in New Zealand where he was raised alongside his siblings, Lukas, Isaak, Azelea, Rowan, Elsie (now deceased) and Grace. Though they were brought up between New Zealand and America, and there was some debate on which school they would attend, it was ultimately decided they would attend the New Zealand Hogwarts and this has influence Zennon in a multitude of ways. He has incorporated many different traditional and magical cultural elements of both communities into the way he's raised his son and it has given him a rich identity and history. Zennon's accent reflects a lot of this diverse background as it can often be hard to pin down. His education at HNZ and being sorted into Slytherin further shaped who he would become after school and into the future. It fostered qualities in him that other houses may not have; ambition, resourcefulness and determination. After he graduated in 2052 he pursued a career in healing and eventually got himself into St Mungo's.
Narrative Snippet;
April 23rd, 2057
It feels like I've barely had time to breathe, barely even to do anything let alone put quill to parchment and I suppose there's something settling about that, honestly. I like being busy, it means I'm doing the right thing, and it makes me feel like things are okay - like it's not all just a messy group of coincidences. (still could be)
Had a patient today, a young kid, no older than ten, who somehow managed to turn half his body into a jellyfish. A jellyfish. That’s a new one, even by St. Mungo’s standards I think. I spent half the afternoon siphoning out excess magic while he floated two inches off the hospital bed, his parents in a state of barely-contained panic. The spell work was tricky - one wrong move, and I could’ve made it worse - but I pulled it off. Another reminder of why I do this. Healing suits me I think. The high-pressure environment, the hands-on magic, the way every case is a puzzle waiting to be solved. It’s not just about fixing people - it’s about figuring out how to fix them. I always did better learning by doing, rather than sitting in a classroom, and Merlin knows I drove some of my old professors up the wall because of it. Not that I’d change a thing. Honestly I guess it's not that much of a surprise that I became Headboy when I think about it, but it's not like there's anything wrong with that either. Not that I'd be telling the likes of Sapphire that, or even Leda, Merlin, what a laugh she'd get out of that.
Of course, nothing ever really prepares you for real life, does it? I thought healing was a challenge - turns out, being a father is a whole different level of chaos. Finley was born the year I graduated, and it still blows my mind that he’s almost five now. Some days, I look at him and wonder how in Merlin’s name I managed to help create something so perfect. Other days, usually when he’s found a new way to climb the furniture or demand snacks with the force of a tiny dictator, I wonder how I haven’t completely lost my mind. He’s sharp, though. Quick on his feet. Already asking questions about magic, even though I keep telling him he’s got years before he’ll get a wand of his own. He reminds me a little of myself, and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a warning sign.
I wonder sometimes if I’m doing right by him. I never wanted him to feel like he was second to my work, but it’s hard balancing both. Some nights, I come home exhausted, barely able to keep my eyes open while he chatters away about his day. I never want him to doubt that he’s my priority, even when the job demands so much of me. Maybe that’s something I need to work on - making more time. For him. For my family. I haven’t seen Rowan or Elio in too long, and Grace and Leda keep asking when I’ll visit next. Elsie would’ve hated how easily time slips away from us. I think about her more often than I admit, but that’s the sort of thing you don’t say out loud, even in a diary.
Tomorrow we do it again, another shift, another patient, another mystery to solve. And when that's over, I think I'll pick up Finley from his mums and take him out for some ice cream. No magic - no stress. Just me and him. I think that sounds like a good plan.
