Artemisa was having the time of her life. She had spent some time with her housemates - an interesting spectacle mind you - and with her siblings. It was somewhere along the night that Misa decided that Hogwarts' Yule Ball was definitely a lot more fun and exciting compared to the annual Nightray Christmas Ball. For one thing, she could actually run around and have fun with lots of different people without facing repercussions. While she didn't know much about the going ons in the adult world back home, she did know that there had been lots of bad things being said, mostly because people whispered while she and Coco eavesdropped - not that grown-ups particularly cared since you know, they were kids. The Gryffindor didn't think that the grown-ups realized that being a kid had its benefits - particularly for gathering the latest gossip. In any case, since there were no stuck-up relatives or grumpy grown-ups nearby (the exceptions were the rare scary professors), Misa had been having the time of life. Now though, she was definitely hungry. And thirsty. So, she had left Coco and Roto dancing to grab food and had settled herself in one of the empty and slightly secluded tables that had been set-up. And so, the Gryffindor munched on cakes and fruit slices and drank fruit juice whilst watching the party still ongoing.

Hades did not dress up for such an event, instead just put on some black robes. He had an idea on who would be there, and decided that it would be best to sneak up on said person. Hades found the Gryffindor working on some food, and decided to sit down next to her. Rather than pick up cakes or fruits, he turned to face her. Hades placed his hands on his lap, cocked his head to the side and watched her eat. Why would someone come to this thing just to eat? Besides, he was curious on who she was here with. Perhaps family. He didn't like these events because the people around gave him a monster of a headache.

Artemisa looked up from her food just as a person joined her on the table and the Gryffindor had to blink a few times to actually confirm just who had sat with her. It was that boy that she had met by the Cliffs that had been staring at her while she drew. Well, apparently this time, he'd be staring at her as she ate. It was quite unnerving she had to admit and she wondered if he ever realized that staring could be quite rude. Especially when one was eating. "Hades," the girl said by way of greeting as she wiped her hands and lips on the napkin before observing the boy in front of him. He didn't seem particularly interested in the event considering his outfit, but then again, Corey wasn't dressed very well for a ball either - mostly cause he wasn't sure how to dress for one. "Having fun?" she asked, well, she wasn't very sure how to deal with a conversation with this guy really. This was only their second meeting after all.

Hades smirked a little as Artemisa acknowledged him. He did not answer immediately when she asked if he was having fun. Of course he was not having fun at all. This whole event was boring, and he saw no point in it other than to allow couples to dance and snog. He shook his head, "No. It is pointless." Hades cocked his head to the side, as he looked around the Hall. "You?"

Artemisa stared, confused at the answer that had been given to her. While it was certainly interesting that he was here when he was not having fun, she found it quite perplexing that he would even still be here. "Why be here then?" she asked in curiosity, an eyebrow raised. He was such a contradictory individual, she was finding - thinking that the Yule Ball was pointless and yet making no move to leave the event. "It's quite refreshing with all that's happening - dancing, food and snow catching that is," she said with a small smile, remembering the chaos that had occurred with her housemates. All in all, she would admit that the Yule Ball had been more fun than she had expected.

"Curiosity," replied the Hufflepuff in a cool tone. That was not a lie either, since Hades was curious about these events, though never dressed up for them. "Not as exciting as my family's. Someone normally gets hurt or dies." Was Hades telling the truth, it was hard to say. While Artemisa thought it was refreshing, Hades thought differently. Unless someone was humiliated or hurt, his interest would be going out the door.

Artemisa nodded at the boy’s response. She could accept that, after all, how many times had she let her curiosity get the best of her or Coco’s. So, if that was the reason that Hades was sticking around, then she really couldn’t blame him. The young Gryffindor had to keep her jaw from dropping and suppress a shiver of fear though at Hades’ next words. “W-what?” she managed to choke out. Was he serious?! She wasn’t really sure she wanted to know really. Or maybe he was joking. But then again, she didn’t know much of his family, just that he came from a rather large Pureblood family. She was really trying to keep the creeps she was feeling inwardly, though she couldn’t be sure she was succeeding as she remembered the last family gathering that someone got hurt or died. She was quite unsure about the Raven side, but with the Nightrays, it would be when he grandparents got killed during her uncles’ birthday decades ago. She couldn’t imagine being part of such an event.
