Young Again

As soon as the fighting had started, Jake had taken his food and legged it to the Professor's table. Clearly he had gone relatively unseen. Though he was covered in Jam from the initial jam explosion on the floor, he had remained relatively devoid of other foods. He finished up his breakfast as the fight started to die down and looked over the front of one of the chairs as he heard Esme challenged to a Duel. The prefect? Jake raised an eyebrow and immediately made his way towards his friend and her challenger. Did he want his ass kicked? "Yo, Esme." He stepped up near her and ignoring the presence of the unfamiliar boy for a moment, Jake leaned in towards her. "Kick his ass, On'nanoko."

*On'nanoko means girl.

It was still taking the Slytherin some time to process her younger-looking cousin, but he'd distracted her enough to forget about the Gryffindor runt who'd assaulted her. That was, until the Prefect of the same house disarmed Aeon. Or Aaron, as he was calling himself under his disguise. Though he wasn't fast enough to dodge it, she was able to catch his wand before it got lost in the sea of duplicated jam. Now she held both a wand of Hawthorn, and one of Mahogany. As an Ollivander's employee, she knew how to use both fairly well. When James challenged her to a duel and Jake urged her on, Esme simply smiled, amused. Without saying a word she raised both wands in front of her. "Stupefy." She incanted forcefully, eyes narrowed as two jets of scarlet light erupted before her.

James hadn't counted on Esme having two wands at the same time, and he was rather surprised when two jets of scarlet light whizzed towards him. No backing out now. He lifted his own wand and muttered Protego. The shield fizzed out under the combined power of the two spells, but luckily managed to deflect them both. He needed more magic in this due, to really distract them he knew. "Expelliamus!" He wondered what would happen if he ended up with three wands at the same time. Maybe there'd be a fistfight instead to get them back.

The food fight seemed to be dying down now that the jam had stopped spreading. Many things happened at once and all of a sudden Veronica found herself witness to a duel. She blinked before looking around for help. Weren't these supposed to have referees? "Don't fight each other! Fight the system!"

Esme scoffed as James' shield fizzled almost instantly, though she was irritated that one of the jets didn't make it through. "Protego." She countered, shielding herself from the oncoming disarm attempt. His spell pinged off of the transparent screen, and Esme turned her head to Vernoica, who had spoken up. "The so called system turned and fled. He's the next best thing." She muttered, already waving her two wands for a second attack. She fired off a jelly-brain jinx, sending the spells spiraling toward the Prefect.

As per usual, Silus was prowling throughout the castle, just snooping about when he began to hear a terribly loud ruckus seemingly coming for the Great Hall. Curious, Silus trotted towards the sound and creaked one of the doors open to sneak a peak. He regretted it right away as spell flew towards his face. He ducked his head and it barely missed him. Well, here goes nothing. He thought as he charged in.

Ava slowly made her way down to the Great Hall. She knew of the fuss that was happening, but decided to let them have a bit more fun, make a bit more mess before she entered. It was only a food fight, there wouldn't be too many injuries.
Ava's eyes widened at the mess when she entered, and saw a couple of dueling students. She calmly made her way through the Hall, disarming the students on the way, disappointed to see one was a Prefect. As she made it to the front - carefully, and now covered in jam and who knew what else - Ava closed the Hall doors with a flick of her wand. Casting a protego spell over herself, Ava stood with her arms folded across her chest as she waited for the chaos to calm.

((OOC: Feel free to say that they counted the disarm spell if you want ))

Aeon groaned once James challenged Esme to a duel. He'd just pulled her off of another student, only to have her drawn back into a fight. He watched in defeated silence, secretly rooting for the Lancaster girl, until the moment Ava entered and disarmed them. Both of Esme's wands whirled into the jam, stuck and poking slightly out. Aeon retrieved them as inconspicuously as he could and pocketed both, jam filling his robes, before turning to the Headmistress. He hoped the potion lasted long enough to not be caught and probably fired. He hadn't meant to get so caught up in the childish antics. He wanted to blame the potion for it, but knew it was all him.

The doors opened, and Esme spun around to prepare her next attack at whoever was entering, only to stop herself as she realised it was the Headmistress. "Oh." Was all she managed to say as she let Ava's disarming spell take effect. She wasn't about to get expelled at the start of the year. She spared James a withering look, blaming him entirely. She had just wanted to leave this ridiculous food war.

Orwell was pretty pleased that someone seemed to be on his side, this made easier for him, however, when two of the slightly older students start fighting, the boy wanted to desperately plead with them to stop, it didn't matter what food was all over him, that had been thrown at him, "Stop, what are you doing?" he exclaimed at them, "Fighting amongst yourselves is what they want," he told them, but as he moved to get closer he watched as their wands were taken from them, and his eyes landed on the head mistress. Oh this was it, he was likely to get into a hell of a lot trouble, "No surrender!" he called, trying hopefully, to encourage the fight, or at least to reach a stand off of sorts, Orwell remained on the table fist raised in the air, "The Students united will never be defeated!" He repeated hoping just that the students would at least rally with each other in this end, that no matter how bad it got they would stand shoulder to shoulder against the professors, the headmistress.

Some of the other people had stopped fighting, and it wasn't until Finn stopped running around screaming that he realized the Headmistress was in the room. He slowly stopped and lowered his arm, not sure how this was going to pan out. He heard the Ravenclaw boy still shouting and he looked at him warily, shaking his head. Sometimes, as a prankster he knew this, you just had to know when the game was up.

Veronica was in the midst of everything and didn't see the Headmistress until she'd already thrown a number of handfuls of muffin at her. She stood wide eyed as Orwell picked up again and went to join him, standing below him but saying nothing. They would have to fight alone, another way.

It didn't take long before the Headmistress arrived to reprimand the Student's, unfortunately by that time spells were already flying, apparently the Prefect decided it'd be a great idea to Duel a Student. Kida jumped over the tables and moved to stand next to her Cousin, slipping her arm around his, The Headmistress disarmed the Student's, but some chose to protest anyway. Kida checked the time, it had only been almost half an hour, they still had a good 30 minutes left on the potion before they were in trouble, Kida whispered in Aeon's ear 'We have 30 minutes, But in the next fifteen we should find our escape.' Kida was reluctant to leave the Students, but both Kida and Aeon liked their Jobs.

Desideratus froze when the headmistress entered. Aw crap. He had hoped that he would have figured out a way to get out, maybe through a window or something, but it was done. The Gryffindor's adrenaline was still there, but upon seeing Professor King's face, died. That was, until that Ravenclaw got back up again. He threw a honey-jam-slathered bun at him. "Dude, shut up," he whispered frantically. He didn't need someone nutt trying to turn this into a riot whilst he was there. His folks back home would kill him!

Ava watched, bemused as the Ravenclaw boy kept rioting. "Mr Brocken, if you feel that we Professors are not here to help, then, by all means, leave. You can hand in your wand at the Ministry, and not be able to use magic. Or, you can calm yourself, and actually do what you are here to do - and that is to learn." Ava said sternly.
With a wave of her wand, Ava cleaned the floor of the jam, but that was the only part she was going to clean for them.
"You will all be staying here, cleaning this mess without magic. And I hope none of you have a class soon, because Merlin knows if you're late - your Professor will have no choice but to give you a detention." She added. "Once the Hall is spotless, I will let you know of your punishments." Ava said, eyeing the room.

Rhi was quite pleased to see that she had stopped the food fight. However it seemed to be about to turn into a duel. She looked around wondering what to do. Should she disarm the students or cast a shield? She looked to see if the professor could help. Unfortunately the headmistress came in and took action disarming the students and then setting them all to work tidying up. Was she serious. Whilst rhi had a free period this morning she was going to use it to make her potions study plan. Not tidy the great hall. She didn't wang to be behind this early in the year.

Esme smirked as the Headmistress told off the Ravenclaw boy, who seemed to be struggling to rouse everyone back into fighting the professors. It was over. Normally, getting expelled might have been a good enough excuse for her to finally transfer to Durmstrang, but now that Vulcan had rejoined Hogwarts, she no longer wanted to leave.

Aeon's face dropped once Kida let him know their potion only had roughly half an hour left. Yet, they couldn't just run for the door or window without consequence, or shift into their animagus forms. Everyone knew he could turn into a husky, especially Ava. all he could do was help clean up as quickly as he could. Some of the students might have been late to their class, but he'd be late to his own if they took too long.

Once the Headmistress stopped speaking, Summers raised his hand. "Av-Professor King. How are we meant to clean up? There's no buckets, or soapy water. Or trash bags." He asked, unwilling to just start conjuring such items himself.

Orwell was aware as moments passed, as one boy threw something at him then told him to stop that perhaps this battle was lost, but he didn't get down from the table. He looked at te professor as she told him to stop, and had to think that she was just really solidifying what he was saying, why such extremes. It wasn't like he had much to lose if he was kicked out, he liked Hogwarts though and didn't particular want to leave. He stood defiantly on the table, not keen to get down just yet and watched as she told them that they'd be cleaning this up and then they'd receive their punishment, "What exactly have we done wrong?" the boy asked, "Aside from the duel, the only thing that was done was a little bit of food throwing, where in the Hogwarts rules does it state that we can't do that?" He knew he was walking on exceedingly thin ice, but where was the real harm in saying anything, he wanted to know what exactly he'd done wrong, although really Orwell knew. He couldn't wait to tell his community about this, he couldn't wait to get started on the work for his Forbidden forest protest. This was going to be quite a year.

Professor King was so going to kill them. Especially if 'Mr. Broken' (whatever kind of name that was) didn't zip it, and that other guy asking about how they'd clean up. Des didn't have the answers, and he didn't plan on cleaning all that much, but he knew when to not bother arguing. He wasn't quite cornered yet or feeling that he needed to try and explain himself. There was, really, no point. He went for the Ravenclaw, to try and tear him from the table and force him to shut it if he wouldn't do it voluntarily. The Gryffindor had no idea what was wrong with this guy, but he was over it.

However, before he connected the boy, he was greeted with a protego cast by someone unknown, and was repelled backwards, landing on the floor and bouncing slightly - a cushioning spell. He landed on his @ss next to the Gryffindor table, and tried to present his most angelic face at Professor King. As if he hadn't just tried to spear-tackle a kid off the table right in front of her.

One of the two student's that Ava didn't recognize, asking how they were supposed to clean. Sighing, Ava summoned buckets, with soap, and filled them with water. She was quickly distracted by Brocken shouting again, and she rolled her eyes, but reacted quickly when she saw a young Gryffindor boy trying to tackle him. A few words were muttered as she protected the boy, and made sure that Lesley had a soft landing - not that he deserved it. "That is enough." Ava growled, her voice dangerously low. She didn't want to silence the Ravenclaw, but if it came to that she would. She sent the buckets forward, and started pacing the Hall. "Get to work." She had had enough of this bull. She doubted anyone would even get a House Cup at the end of the year.

James had just cast his spell when his wand flew out of his hands. Turning around, he saw Professor King standing there, her own wand out. Sighing in relief, he hurried towards her. "Oh thank God you're here Professor, it's been a nightmare. I've been trying to get them to stop for nearly half an hour, but they won't listen to me. I thought a duel would distract them enough to stop throwing food - I wasn't going to hurt her." Suddenly he stopped talking because out of the corner of his eye he saw the Arron kid sneaking off with two of the wands. "Oh no you don't Arron. I disarmed you for a reason. Perhaps you should hand those wands in to Professor King until she decides what to do with them."

If Kida was a student again there would be some choice words she would have said to this Prefect who kept on putting his foot in everything, But Kida was an Adult now and instead she just held back the want to put her hands on her hips and sign heavily at them. They were charged with Cleaning and Kida grabbed a Mop and walked over to the Prefect who was trying to disarm her cousin putting the handle in the middle of his chest 'Get Cleaning and stop wasting time' she said putting a little force behind the mop trying to unbalance him rolling her eyes in a teenage sarcastic manner.

Jakobe was so done with all of this, he'd done nothing and her everyone was being sentenced to this kind of servitude. He'd never had to clean anything in his life. Jake rolled his eyes and leaned against the wall. He was not going to be a part of this.

The cheek of the girl, Kadi, or whatever! She wanted James to help clean the room!? What was she thinking?! "No, I think you've misunderstood our Headmistress' instructions Kadi. You have to clean the room, because you caused a lot of the mess. I'll help supervise, so better get working." With this, James pushed the mop back into her hands firmly, his weight centred low to prevent any more attempts to unbalance him, his martial arts training having kicked in.
