Yvonne stepped up to the dueling platform and greeted the students with a warm smile. The second round of duels were exciting as usual and always kept her on her toes. "Welcome to round three, and congratulations on making it to the final round!" she said brightly, already feeling proud of them for making it this far. "The winner of this duel will be this years winner. Be sure to keep things fair and no funny business or you will be disqualified." Yvonne added trying to seem stern with most likely mixed results. "Now you may face your opponent and bow before beginning. Good luck to you both!"

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours from this to post your first reply, or face disqualification. Once both duelists have posted, you will have 24 hours from your opponents post to reply, or be disqualified. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. Please also remember site rules apply, including power/god modding. You can find the site rules. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Anisha was thrilled to have gotten this far. She knew she needed to win now, to at least make her sister notice, even if she wouldn't really care. She knew her opponent was likely pretty good too, but he hadn't won as many duels as her, as he hadn't participated in last round. Anisha bowed to him, then cast the first spell. "Stupefy!"

This was a mistake. He had just managed to weasel his way to victory by complete mistake. He wasn't supposed to be in the final. He certainly wasn't good enough to be in the final. There was zero chance he was walking away from this with a win. Which was easy to spot when he barely managed to get up a shaky shield charm in time after a short bow, having to take a moment to compose himself properly. "Everte Statum!"

Anisha blockrd the boy's next spell quickly, stepping forward as she cast her own next spell. "Expelliarmus!"

Again Fin was a little slow, having to quickly duck out of the way of the girl's next spell before it hit him. Huffing again as he straightened up, he again had to take a quick moment to think of any useful spells he had learned over the past few years before raising his wand, "Stupefy!"

Anisha felt her confidence grow as Finley dodged her spell. She blocked his next one easily, thinking of a more creative spell to send back. She smiled. "Everte Statum!"

He actually managed to raise his wand in time and block the spell, letting out a puff of breath, rather thankful he hadn't just been thrown off his feet. But there was no time to be proud of himself, sending back a quick knee-reversing hex in response.

Anisha knew she had to keep paying attention, even if she felt more confidence. It was an easy trap to fall into, she couldn't be too confident and lower her guard. She blocked Finley's spell, noting that he had also used a more creative one this time. Then she sent back "Locomotor Mortis!"

Finley was absolutely having a horrible time. He tried to raise his wand to block the next spell, but once again was too slow to manage it. And with no time to dodge out of the way, the next thing he was aware of he was flat on his back, staring up at the ceiling with his legs locked together. Well, this sucked. But he still had his wand, managing to sit up for just a second before aiming and casting a quick Rictusempra, for all the good that was going to do him.

Anisha almost cheered when her spell hit her opponent, but she felt oddly guilty too as she watched him fall. She had thought she had won for a moment, but then Finley sat up and sent another spell her way. He seemed as determined to win as her, though she had the advantage now. She blocked his spell, then cast one back. "Expelliarmus!" If he lost his wand, it was truly over. She made sure to aim straight for him, as he couldn't easily dodge.

He should have probably known the second his legs got stuck together that he was going to lose. But he didn't want to go down without a fight, that was the only reason he had come back with a counterspell. But now he was stuck on the floor, too busy trying to figure out how he was going to get his legs unstuck and then stand up to continue when his wand went clattering right out of his hand. Finley just stared at it as it rolled for a moment before letting out a long sigh, flopping back down again to stare at the ceiling. Oh well, he should have seen that one coming.

OOCOut of Character:
Anisha Khatri is the winner of this duel!

Anisha couldn't quite surpress the smile she got when she saw she had won, but Finley had given her a workout. She smiled at him, walking closer and extending a hand to at least help him sit up. "Great job, I can't believe you managed to block and cast a spell with your legs like that." She told him. "Impressive."

Finley just wanted to lay there for a little while longer. If everyone just ignored him that would be preferable. However, he peered up through his fringe when a hand suddenly appeared above him, squinting his eyes just a little at the Gryffindor. He hesitated, before sighing, grabbing the offered hand, and slowly sitting up again. "Thanks," he mumbled, quickly dropping her hand with a small shrug, "But you were bound to win. I'm rubbish at this."
