Lena was not the least bit tired from watching the students' engaging duels. She was rather surprised by the tenacity, especially the younger ones. As the fifth years took to the stage, she gave each of them smile before speaking. "You know the drill by now. Keep it clean," she added quickly before taking a step back.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours from this to post your first reply, or face disqualification. Once both duelists have posted, you will have 24 hours from your opponents post to reply, or be disqualified. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

Well, she'd done it. Sort of. Harper had finally achieved her goal of making it to the third round of the dueling tournament. Her satisfaction was undercut somewhat by the fact that she'd only made it this far thanks to the bye she had received last round. While she was happy to be in the semifinals, she wasn't sure she had earned her spot quite yet. This round would be the true test of her skills.

As Harper took the stage, she greeted Ronald with a friendly smile. She had lost to him last year and knew he would be a formidable opponent, but hopefully she would manage a win this time around. Based on their duel last year, Harper knew he favored charms, and while she wasn't sure how to actually use that knowledge to her advantage, it was better than going in blind. At Professor Williams' signal, she bowed before quickly shooting off a babbling curse.

Ronald so happy for last duel he win and he so lucky but today he knew that whatever will be win for this duel, Gryffindor will be the winner of the 5th year, Flynn will be waiting if me or harper will be his opponent, Professor Williams welcome us and bow to each other, Ronald smile to harper and she cast a curse to me but I wave my wand to use shield charm and then he pointed his wand to Harper and said Stupefy.

Harper wasn't at all surprised when Ronald managed to block her first spell. She quickly summoned a shield charm, taking a step back as the charm absorbed the weight of the attack. It was tempting to just dodge all of his attacks, but Harper knew she needed to save her strength in case their duel dragged on, as it had last year. Once the danger had passed, she returned fire with a bedazzling hex.

Harper swiftly cast another shield charm to block the attack. She pointed her wand at Ronald. "Obscuro!" It was an advanced spell, one she had never tried before and wasn't quite sure if she'd be able to make work, but she hoped it would be more effective than the bedazzling hex.

Harper spent perhaps a second too long watching the remnants of her spell, trying to figure out whether she had successfully cast the charm or not, and she was forced to duck down to avoid Ronald's jinx. Not wanting to lose too much momentum, Harper fired off a hasty stunning spell though her aim was a bit off.

Harper had known as soon as she had cast the stunning spell that it wouldn't hit, so she was prepared when Ronald blocked it and sent back a hex. She decided to dodge this one as well, trusting her reflexes more than she did magic. There was no way she wanted to risk getting hit by that particular hex. As Harper moved, she cast her next spell, hoping to catch Ronald off guard. "Everte statum!"
