Y39 Duelling Match #24

Leading the competitors of the second round to the duelling platform, Katherine gestured for each of them to take up a position at either end, while she herself stepped up to a podium overlooking them. With a tap of her wand in the air, the headmistress pointed the tip at her throat, speaking out in a magically-amplified voice. "Welcome back, competitors, to the second round of duelling. Wands at the ready, and prepare yourselves for the duel ahead." Katherine called, giving the students an opportunity to take on a comfortable stance. "Now, bow and commence."

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Sully didn't like to think he was bad at duelling. He was good with charms and quick on his feet considering he played quidditch, but he wasn't sure he was quite as bloody minded about winning like some of the other kids seemed to be. He still enjoyed it though, giving Daintree a grin as he bowed before throwing a fur-growing spell his way.

Daintree was glad to be able to get through to the second round, but it was a fight against a friend, which wasn't the worst thing. He bowed with a smile and then dodged out of the way of the spell and sent back an "Incarcerous,"

Sully couldn't help but laugh as Daintree had to dodge aside, though he had to do the same as Daintree returned fire with his own charm. "I'm just trying to update your look, mate," he called back, lobbing an instant scalping hex at his friend this time.

Daintree was much quicker on the block of this spell towards him. He definitely didn't want to end up bald. He gave a little smirk and then fired back with "Densaugeo,"

Sully knew he wasn't really taking the duel too seriously, he was just glad Daintree was cool about it. He managed to block Daintree's jinx this time before making a show of thinking hard about his next spell choice. "Alright, if you won't let me mess with your hair, how about your eyebrows? Supercillio!*" Sully was still very proud of the eyebrow growing jinx he'd come up with Lysander, and it had the bonus element of surprise against his classmate who weren't used to it.

Daintree frowned at the spell that flew at him, he blocked it but had never heard of the spell before. He glanced at Sully in the moment of lull before he cast a Conjunctivitis curse, sticking.

Sully clicked his tongue in annoyance when Daintree blocked his spell again. It was a bit like dealing with a particularly tricky keeper and he was keen to try and get past him. Sully had to sidestep Daintree's curse this time, throwing back an incarcerous charm.
