Y39 Dueling Match #13

Lena was surprised she had been asked to proctor some of the duels this year but always loved a good competition. As she watched the students prepare, she stood in between them on the stage. "Alright, lovelies, this is round one of dueling. Keep it nice and clean, and the victor of this match will move on to round two! Make sure to bow when you're ready, and good luck!" Lena stepped off the platform and prepared to watch the duel begin.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours from this to post your first reply, or face disqualification. Once both duelists have posted, you will have 24 hours from your opponents post to reply, or be disqualified. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun! As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Maybe Seb liked to stay away from people but he couldn't stay away from a chance to duel with someone. At least he had a chance to put out all the anger that he had about the situation he managed to get himself into. He bowed before the duel and then angrily let out the first spell: "Incarcerous"

Ajaccio wasn't sure he knew the boy he was duelling, he didn't recognise him, and Ajaccio knew this wasn't the time but he had a wide smile at the boy. He blocked the other boy's spell and then followed it up with a rather simple trip jinx.

[Nicole Fisk]

Duels made Nicole understandably nervous. Why anyone wanted to stand up in front of half the school and have jinxes thrown at them she would never understand, but it didn't mean she wasn't going to go watch. Especially when her boyfriend was duelling. Nicole didn't know Sebastian very well, he'd only transferred this year, but she hoped he wasn't a very good duellist. It'd be nice to see Ajax win. Or at least not get hit by anything too embarrassing. "Woo, go Ajax!" She called, giving a little hop in celebration as Ajax blocked Sebastian's first spell.

Seb madly growled under his nose when that prefect girl celebrated. He didn't see any reason to celebrate, he just blocked the spell and Seb blocked his upcoming spell. It wasn't anything special. He shot back the tongue-tying curse and hoped that it will hit the target.

Casper hated duels. And he was pretty sure Sebastian hated him. But with both Sebastian and Lysander in the duels, Cas found himself there anyway. He was already watching through his fingers, covering his eyes only to uncover them immediately after again.

Ajaccio couldn't help the little smile on his face as he heard Nicole's voice through the crowd. He blocked the other boy's spell with a quick flourish, using one of the newer protego spells, and the followed it up with, "Langlock,"

Seb managed to notice Cas and his attention was distracted, so he had to dodge the spell Ajaccio threw ar him. "Piertotum Locomotor!" Seb threw the spell back and tried not to get distracted again, tho, he looked at Cas all the time that he could.

Ajaccio was a little confused by the spell fired back at him, he let the spell hit him but unsurprisingly it didn't do anything. He was a little confused but he fired back quickly with a "Diffindo,"

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but Piertotum Locomotor animates solid objects...so wouldn't work as an offense spell, thus he can get hit and nothing happens

Seb quietly swore when he understood that he sent the wrong spell but tried to act like nothing happened, even tho it frustrated him a lot. He blocked the upcoming spell and shot back another, "Obscuro"
