Gabrielle had been disappointed about their loss to beauxbatons but had decided that she was going to try her best not to show that during practice. She was the captain after all, which meant she had to keep her teammates spirits up. Or at least try to do so. She had gotten to the pitch early and made sure everything was ready, looking at her notebook a final time as she waited for the others to arrive. "Hi guys!" Gaby smiled at her teammates as they started arriving. "I know we don't have any more games this year but I reckoned it would still be nice to get out here and practice, get even better. Not that you're not already great, you are and I'm proud of you." She started, trying to quickly avert the attention from their loss. "Nothing too interesting today, but I'll be splitting us up in teams again. Ares, Florence, Gemma and Hugo will be one team. Élise, Ava, Amelie and I will be the other. Aramis, pick whichever set of hoops you prefer. Let's go team!"

ooc: no arrivals, let's get right to it!

Ava was a little disappointed the team hadn't won their match against ilvermorny, but at the same time she had loved watching the older players play during the game. At least there had been a lot to learn. With practice starting she listened to their captain speak before giving a little nod to her teammates and pushing off into the air to chase after a bludger. She gave it a good whack when she reached it, aiming it for the other team's chaser and watching a little surprised as it sailed right into @Hugo De Rosier.

Hugo got started with practice but before he could do as much as look around he got hit by a bludger. He scowled.

Gemma was looking forward to getting up in the air again. Even though they lost she wasn't about to let herself get rusty. After a few quick instructions from Gabby she took to the air and hovered around Hugo. She frowned as the newer beater managed to land a blow before she had even gotten her bearings.

Ares was looking forward to a quidditch practice. He loved the sport and it was the main reason why he bothered to show up sometimes. He listened to the captain before mounting his broom. He caught the quaffle first, heading straight for the hoops.

Gaby shot up into the air, following after Ares after he had caught the quaffle.

Ava shot after another bludger and aimed it for the seeker again but it didn’t go quite the way she wanted and she watched it sail towards @Ares Kuya-Tine instead.

Florence listened carefully as their team captain had spoken. Flo had been a bit disappointed that they hadn't won their game with Ilvermory, but had hoped they would win the next one. Once the captain had finished speaking, she nodded when they had mentioned teams for practice, and Flo shot through the air, backing up Ares as he caught the quaffle.

Hugo flew lower to the ground, glaring a bit. He had to do well in this practice.

Ares flew closer to the hoops, wanting to do well this practice. He stopped abruptly however as he felt a bludger collide with his arm. He cursed, knowing that really wasn't going to help him as he felt the pain course through him. He tried to throw the quaffle threw the hoops, but consequently it was too short and didn't go through.

Gaby grimaced when Ares got hit by a bludger but was glad to see he didn’t let that stop him from attempting to score. She caught the quaffle when Aramis threw it back out and turned to take a lap around the pitch.

Ava looked for another bludger to hit.

Gemma kept an eye out for bludgers and was glad Ava seemed to be doing well and was just as pleased she didn't end up hitting Hugo again.

Hugo flew around, looking around for the snitch. He felt like he needed to catch it first this time.

Aramis wasn't exactly in the best mood as they gathered on the pitch, still peeved at Hugo for being an idiot about the match. He kept his distant until he was in the air, moving to the South hoops. He felt a bit smug to see Hugo get hit immediately, Ava not hesitating to knock some bludgers around, which made it easier on him when Ares missed his shot too. Aramis threw the quaffle back out, keeping an eye on Gabby now.

Gaby flew a lap around the pitch before circling back towards the hoops, not too surprised when her shot got blocked.

Ava headed for another bludger, giving it a whack but watching as it sailed off in no particular direction.

Gemma finally seemed to have some luck and spotted a bludger off to her right. She raced after it and swung. It flew across the pitch and made direct contact with Amelie. @Amelie Derouin

Amelie - 1
Hugo - 1
Ares - 1

Aramis was ready for Gaby when she made her shot, managing to knock it aside before scooping it back up to throw back out. He could vaguely see Gemma and Ava still causing havoc in the background and was glad to be out of the main fray of the rest of the team.

Gaby hung back for a little bit after she had made her shot, looking around to see the beaters were already doing quite well so early on in practice.

Ava watched as Gemma managed to slam a bludger into Amelie, figuring she should perhaps also be trying to protect the seeker.

Aramis kept an eye on the quaffle, but also on the beaters. With the way they were playing today he figured he should look out for bludgers as much as the chasers.

It looked like Gemma's luck was about to continue when she spotted another bludger but when she hit it this time it went wide and hit Aramis instead. She gave him an apologetic look before quickly flying off to find more bludgers. @Aramis Faroe

Aramis had been watching, but he still wasn't ready when Gemma actually hit a bludger his way. His only consolation when it collided with him, winding him in the process, was that he was pretty sure it had been an accident.

Trying to keep the other chasers on their toes Gaby swooped in to catch the quaffle when it was thrown back out, turning around to get some distance between herself and the hoops.
