Y39 Beauxbatons Quidditch Practice S1

Aramis circled the hoops slowly, keeping an eye on the chasers.

Amelie continued her search, humming softly.

Gaby took her lap around the pitch and made sure to check if Ares was alright when he got hit with another bludger before circling back towards the hoops. Once she got close enough she chucked the quaffle at the centre one, pleased when it went through again. At the same time though, she hoped the ilvermorny chasers wouldn't be as succesful during the game as she had been so far during practice.

Ava noticed a bludger nearby and swung her bat at the person closest to her. She grimaced when that person was @Élise Moreau though, shooting her an apologetic smile. Perhaps she should be paying a bit more attention to who she was sending bludgers flying towards.

Aramis couldn't quite get his hands on the quaffle as Gaby took another shot, having to once again do the dive of shame to grab the quaffle before it hit the ground and throw it back out.

Gemma nearly missed the bludger coming her way until it was right in front of her. She was able to react in time and hit the ball towards their newest beater. She had been doing well and Gemma figured she could handle it. @Ava Hastings

Watching Gemma continue to knock bludgers around, Aramis found it funny to realize how long some of them had been on the team already. It felt like yesterday he'd tried out for the first time and now Gemma was out knocking heads with the new crop of players.

Ava had been happily flying after another bludger to hit when something collided with her. She hadn't ever been hit before and it wasn't exactly what she had expected it to be like but she tried her best to play it off. She was sending bludgers flying to other people after all, so she should be able to deal with getting hit herself. Even if it hurt quite a lot.

It looked like their new beater was handling the bludgers like a champ, better than Aramis did sometimes. He drifted quietly by the hoops, trying to watch the chasers more than the bludgers.

Amelie wasn't having much luck today. She ended up near Aramis as she looked, and shot him a smile. "I think the snitch took a vacation," she joked lightly, scanning the skies. @Aramis Faroe

Gemma decided to play a bit more defensively this time and kept watch for any stray bludgers.

As Ares was hit with yet another bludger, he groaned again, clutching his side as he suddenly grew a lot more frustrated. He brushed off some concerned looks and just continued to push on, not knowing whether or not he would be able to take another hit. He watched as Gaby scored again, and then flew down to collect the quaffle as it was thrown back out.

Aramis let out an amused huff as Amelie flew past, nodding vaguely. "You're welcome to catch the quaffle for a bit instead if you like," he said, tilting his broom a bit to keep an eye on Ares as he took the quaffle.

Gemma kept an eye out for bludgers, since she wasn't in a hurry to knock out the whole team before everyone got enough practice in.

Amelie giggled, shaking her head. "Maybe next time," she called back, before resuming her search for the snitch.

Élise got hit twice already and literally hadn't anything herself. It was awful and that didn't make things better. Out of frustration she smacked the next bludger towards @Gemma Thorne .

Amelie continued her search, humming softly.

Aramis waved Amelie off as she went back after the snitch, resigning himself to having to deal with the chasers on his own.

Gemma was content to pull back for a bit but when she saw a bludger coming her way she couldn't pass it up. She swung and made contact with the ball but her target moved at the last minute and missed at the last second.

As Ares made it closer to the hoops, he was thankful that he hadn't been hit by another bludger. He threw the quaffle towards the middle hoop and sighed with frustration as it was caught.

Aramis was ready when Ares approached this time, knocking the quaffle off-target before grabbing it under his arm. Adjusting his grip, he threw it back out.

Amelie continued her search, humming softly.

Gemma kept a look out for bludgers but they seemed to be keeping their distance for now. Her second bludger hit of the day was starting to cause problems so she was glad for the distance for now.

(rule 2a)
As the quaffle was thrown back out after his pathetic attempt, Ares quickly ducked down to steal it again, heading to the hoops on the other side this time.

Bludgers were still rare and Élise was flying around searching for one.
