Gemma waited for a bludger to show itself but she knew better than to hold her breath. She had a lot of luck earlier in practice but now it seemed like things had quieted down.
Gaby watched the bludgers continue to fly around before heading after Ares when he made off with the quaffle. She could almost feel his disappointment when his shot was blocked again, shooting him a reassuring smile before catching the quaffle when it was thrown back out.
Aramis was ready when Ares came back his way, correctly guessing which hoop he was aiming for and knocking the quaffle aside and into his grasp. Maybe he was finally warming up after letting those first few shots through, though he still needed to get better at blocking Gaby, he figured, throwing the quaffle back out to her.
Gaby took a lap around the pitch and circled back towards the hoops, chucking the quaffle at them only to watch Aramis block her shot. “Nice!” She called out before turning around to get back in position.
Aramis managed to not let himself be distracted by the seekers of bludgers, keeping an eye on Gaby as she looped back his way. He was just able to move and get a hand on the quaffle when she took her shot, knocking it aside and swooping down to scoop it back up. "About time," he said with an easy smile back to Gaby, throwing the quaffle back out.
Ares appreciated the reassuring smile he received from Gaby. He watched as she attempted to score this time, admittedly feeling a bit better when she missed. He wasn't sure how she was so fine with it after such a good streak, and simply shrugged as he caught the quaffle when it was thrown back out again.
As Ares made it closer to the hoops, he attempted to score again. It was only just caught by the keeper yet again, and Ares couldn't help but be mad. He wanted the practice to be over with so he could stop embarrassing himself. If there was no way he could get around Aramis in a practice game, there was no way he could get around another keeper in an actual game.
Gaby watched as Ares made off with the quaffle only to have his shot eventually blocked again. She knew that was frustrating and hoped he wouldn’t let it get to him too much, although she couldn’t blame him if it did. She caught the quaffle when Aramis threw it back out and went for another lap around the pitch.
Gaby debated passing to Ares for a second before taking the shot herself, not too bothered when it got blocked again. At least that meant Aramis was doing good, even if he might be used to most of her plays by now.
Aramis rolled his shoulders some, getting ready as Ares approached again, able to snag the quaffle before it made it to the hoops. He was feeling more in the zone now, throwing it back out to Gaby and shifting his broom, trying to remember which hoop she tended to favour. He guessed right again when Gaby took her shot, knocking the quaffle aside and scooping it back up to throw out again.
