This was it, they'd finally hit the last round of duels and Angel couldn't be more relieved. He hadn't considered just how many matches he'd need to proctor before he could call it a day and there were only so many times he could watch kids try to stun each other before he needed a break. "Welcome to your final round of duelling! The victor will be crowned our second year champion so without further ado, when you're ready, please bow to your opponent and begin!" He said with a flourish, motioning the students onto the stage and letting them get started.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours from this to post your first reply, or face disqualification. Once both duelists have posted, you will have 24 hours from your opponents post to reply, or be disqualified. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Tilly was amazed that she'd made it to the final duelling round for her year. She found herself standing across from yet another Gryffindor. After bowing to Terrell, Tilly took a deep breath. She started with a decisive 'Everte Statum.' She knew that knocking Terrell off his feet wouldn't be easy, but she would try her hardest.

Terrell had not signed up to the duelling tournament expecting to make it to the final, but through some lucky fate he had made it all the way. He was up against a Hufflepuff called Tilly who he didn't know well. "Hey congratulations making it to the final!" He said to her with a bow. He always liked to say something to his opponent even though he noticed that many stayed silent. He blocked the first spell then sent his, "Stupefy!"

Tilly smiled at Terrell in return as he congratulated her. "Thanks, you too," she replied. She wasn't expecting Everte Statum to hit, so she figured she should double down. Tilly blocked Terrell's incoming Stunning Spell with the Shield Charm. Then, she cast, "Expelliarmus!"

Terrell returned the smile, "Thanks, by default that makes us the two best duelers in our year!" Of course they were competing to decide who was the best of the two but even second was pretty good. Terrell blocked the disarming spell, wanting to hold on to his wand for as long as possible. He wasn't an overly competitive person but he was going to give the final duel his best shot. He decided to try a different spell next, "Petrificus Totalus!"
