Y36 Duelling Match #22

For some years, their duels had come to an end, and their champions chosen. For others, however, this was it. The final round before they too would be named Champion for their year. Katherine lead her finalists to the stage, and appointed them a side each to take their stances, before resuming her usual position on her podium. "Duelists, prepare yourselves. This is your final chance to take the title of champion. Make it count. Now, bow and commence."​

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Leia was rather pleased that she'd won the other duel. She felt rather proud of herself for it. But, that would make this any easier. No less because he knew this boy somewhat. Well, she'd had one conversation with him, but other than vaguely knowing the other boy from classes she hadn't known him. She bowed and then took her position. She was quick to fire a trip jinx. Pleased to cast the first spell of the duel

Lucas was honestly surprised by how far he had come in the tournament. This would be the battle that decided who would win for their year group. He knew the girl vaguely, and gave her a smile as he bowed at her. He managed to block her first spell, then cast his own. "Expelliarmus!"

Lucas was feeling more sure of himself, but still had to jump out of the way of Leia's next spell. "Whoa." He muttered. Then he quickly sent back a trip jinx.

Leia liked watching people dodge her spells, she knew it was sometimes just easier, but it felt good, it helped her feel rather powerful. She cast a shield quickly and followed it with the knee reversing curse.
