Y32 Dueling Match #9

[Professor Kalif Styx]

Professor Styx leads the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage. He reveals the rules as well as the point system. He walks off the stage and orders the duel to begin, as he keeps a watchful eye.​

All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.

The duel begins now. If someone doesn't post after 24 hours, they are disqualified.

Phoebe was determined to win this match against the Hufflepuff prefect. She flashed her a grin before bowing her head for a moment. Then she got ready to duel. "Obscuro!" She called, figuring that blocking her view would be a good way to start this duel.

If Phoebe thought she could win, she had another thing coming. It was easy enough to see the Ravenclaws spell coming from a mile away, and the prefect easily dodged it. "Confundo" she uttered, pointing her own wand st the girl, hoping thst she would buy some more time with her confusion. This year she was going to win, and show her president she knew her spells.

Phoebe thought Geo dodging her spell instead of blocking it may be a good sign for her. It perhaps meant the girl was less quick with a wand than Phoebe was. Phoebe blocked the confusion spell, then cast her own again. "Silencio!" If she couldn't block her vision, perhaps she could block her voice.

Geo watched as Phoebe managed to block her spell, although she would have been more surprised if the fifth year had let herself be hit by it. She's seen her lessons after all. The Hufflepuff grinned as she blocked a returning spell, wondering why the brunette was so determine to go for her senses. "Incendio" she cast, aiming her wand at the girls feet in attempt to catch her off guard.

Phoebe wasn't expecting the kind of spell Geo had sent her way, nor had she expected it to be aimed so low. She was too late in dodging, and the very bottom of her robes caught fire. Thinking quickly, Phoebe used the newly learned Extinguishing Spell to put it out. Then she glared at the Hufflepuff and cast a Knee Reversal Jinx at her in retribution.
