Jerara could figure how his friend might react, he'd given him hell for using the spell in the first place, that he knew it would be enough of a rise for him. If it would work for him, then it would be enough for Tristan. Jerara could feel his anger remaining strong, but he had to be the one to end this, he nodded his head at his friend's words and loosened his grip on his own wand. Jerara heard the snarled incantation, and moved his arm going to cast spell needed to protect himself, but the movement jolted the still bleeding cut on that very arm, causing a small gasp and for the to slip carelessly out of his grasp. Without his wand, Tristan's spell hit hard and Jerara was stunned, collapsing to the ground.

Tristan watched as Jerara moved to cast the spell, and noticed his wounded arm was giving him trouble. His heart jolted a little as he saw the spell hit him, and he wished immediately he had put a little less force into it. His mouth felt dry as he watched his friend crumple onto the ground. He stood there with his wand still in his outstretched hand, waiting for the feeling of victory to rush over him. But it didn't. He just felt hollow as he looked at his friend on the ground. What had just happened between them? Had their friendship changed? Tristan didn't know, and he was scared to learn the answer. He lowered his hand slowly, then forced himself to smile. He had won, after all.
