As the tournament waged on, Kennedy led the two older students up the platform. She went over the rules with them despite them being in the third round and being experienced students; sometimes that allowed them to be lax with the rules and she cared about their safety above all else. Once they nodded in understanding, she walked off and let them begin when they were ready.

The duel against Hayden had been...well, nowhere near as difficult as Rose had anticipated it to be. For a girl who had no real talent outside of the realm of music, she was proving to be surprisingly proficient at duelling. That, or she was consistently being paired with people who also weren't particularly good, and just happened to be slightly above average.

Rory was another matter. He worked in a wand shop, and whether that gave him an edge in duelling, Rose couldn't be entirely certain. She was sure she would find out. That, and she did expect him to be the sort of person to know a handful of curses. Bowing to the Slytherin boy, Rose raised her wand and casted first, with a babbling curse.

Rory hadn't really ever made it this far in the duelling competition. He was happy about that though. He faced a girl, he knew of because they shared classes but that was all that they shared. He blocked her spell as it raced towards him and then cast back, "Diffindo," he was hopeful for a win, but he wasn't so fussed about it.

Diffindo was an interesting choice, Rose thought. She was so used to stunning and disarming charms by now. The Ravenclaw blocked the severing spell, and aimed her wand back toward the boy's head. "Densaugeo." She incanted, looking to keep with the tactic of trying to impede his speech, and therefore his casting.

Rory blocked the girl's spell, but he thought it was a pointless spell, as if his words didn't already struggle. He focused though, firing back with "Incendio," Rory liked the stronger spells like that they were far more fun. He didn't particularly want to set the girl on fire, but this was a duel and he did want to win.

"Aguamenti" Rose incanted, conjuring a jet of water to quench the flames headed her way. "Expelliarmus!" The girl continued, with the typical old-but-gold disarming charm. There was no need to be flashy in a duel to win.

Rory didn't really know what to make of the other person. He watched as she blocked his spell with ease. He dodged out the way of her spell, and wasted no time in firing back at her. Rory threw back the antler jinx at the girl

The Slytherin's spell came faster than Rose could block it. The girl's head whipped back by the force of the spell, and the sudden weight protruding from her forehead as two antlers began to curve their way outward. She stumbled, and almost fell before she managed to right herself back up. It was a struggle to keep her head upright, but after a moment she managed to aim her wand again. "Stupefy."

Rory was very pleased when his spell hit the girl, and definitely seemed to hinder her spells, he was able to block the stupefy that she sent to him with ease and decided to throw the same back, "Stupefy," he said, he was hopeful of a victory in this duel.

The antlers were more of a hindrance than Rose had initially believed they would be, a struggle to balance the weight that threatened to topple her forwards or backwards with the slightest inclination of her head. Before she had any time to try and sever them, a flash of red light hit up the girl's vision. She made to step aside, only it was too late, and the oncoming spell hit her on the shoulder at the same time. Stunned, Rose collapsed to the ground.
Action(s) Taken: Hit by spell, stunned
