Vladimir Zhefarovich proudly walked into the Quidditch pitch once more. He was the captain for the second year in a roll, and he already led Slytherin to their victory, even in the Quidditch cup. Vladimir might have showed some impatience during the last game and switched, but no worries there. Vladimir made sure that everyone in the Slytherin house would know that try outs were today. He would not accept anyone's tardiness, and would kick them off the pitch if he thought that it was the right thing to do. He was also the top duelist in his year, and that gave him one huge head. He retrieved his clipboard, marking out the people that he needed to, and thought over the positions. He'd have to make sure that Pandora was a little more active within the chasers. Lucien hogged all the shots last time. He looked ahead to see some new potential players and some old. Once he figured that everyone was here, he announced in a cold voice, "Greetings, I am Vladimir Zhefarovich, in case you don't know, Captain and a beater, if you make the team. Old team, thanks for coming I guess. Now, chasers, practice trying to score. Keepers will have to guard. Beaters, protect our team from the bludgers that are around, and there are more than two. And seekers, practice catching the snitch. Just walk up, tell me your name and what you are trying out for. That's it. Now get to it." He sat back and watched from afar, hoping that the team was not a complete failure.

All right, short and sweet. One post is needed. Old players, just post your arrival, and you are safe on the team, unless you did not participate in the last two games, then you need to try out. We have a few positions available, but some might not show up, so everyone needs to try out. The more creative, the better!

First years need approval before posting here. Below is the current team and what's available!

Rhys Graves walked confidently onto the Quidditch Pitch of Hogwarts. It was his first time back at Hogwarts in over a year, and he was yet to run into any of his old friends. In his first year, Rhys has played as an Alternate Keeper on the Slytherin team. His passion had always been Quidditch, ever since his first learnt that he was a wizard, though his brother had gotten him into the sport years before. Approaching the group of people in front of him, Rhys gave them all a quick nod, and a brief smile. He was not one for reunions, and he especially did not want to start explaining where he was. "Chaser," he called out when he was asked what he was trying out for. This year, the boy wanted to be a little more involved in the action. Climbing onto his Emerald Streak, the third year Slytherin kicked off of the ground, and rocketed his way across the field. Streaking his way back around, he blew back past the group, catching the quaffle that was thrown to him in his right hand and darting back up toward the goal posts. He had practiced a lot over the year his spent in England, and it showed now as he streaked up towards his target. He no longer felt like the nervous first year who had played on this field just two years before. Launching the quaffle, he grinned to himself as he watched his fly through the right hand side goal post. Slightly off his mark, but good enough.

Streaking back around the goal posts, he caught the quaffle on its descent, and shot out straight across the field. Turning to his left, he made a sharp turn, faked a turn and came to a stop. Lining the goal posts up, he launched the quaffle at the posts, but grimaced as he watched the wind carry it off its point. Luckily, another of the Slytherin chaser caught it, and after a quick shot at the posts, scored. Flying after the quaffle, he caught it again and came back around to face the keeper. Grinning to himself, he pulled the quaffle back, and launched his right hand forward towards the right hand goal post. Grinning to himself, he looked dead ahead as he watched his empty right hand extend in front of him, feeling the quaffle roll off of his fingers and drop down next to his body. His right foot had already drawn back for a kick, and as his foot collided with the quaffle, he knew that his signature shot had worked, the feint of his right hand confusing the keeper and his kick sending the quaffle soaring through the posts. With two goals and an assist under his belt, Rhys descended down towards the group of onlookers, a grin hidden on his face.

Avie wandered down to the pitch with his broom in hand. For once he'd gotten up, and rather than doing something else before hand, he'd just gotten something small, and not messy to eat and had headed to the pitch. he loved playing quidditch, it was his favourite pastime. It was the easiest and best thing he did at hogwarts. There was no learning available. Not really, however, the last game, near the end the captain had taken off as seeker and made him chaser. Avie didn't know why that had happened, and like a young child he was still pretty upset about it. Avie arrived at the pitch as the captain began speaking, unlike everyone else who stayed standing, Avie sat down on the ground. he didn't need to try out again, he needed to practice, despite knowing how to play. He did listen along, this year, in quidditch he would be trying again, to be the best seeker, and show Vladimir that he was the better seeker, and in no way a beater. When everyone was let up to go practice, or try-out, Avie, began by stretching. He didn't want to just shoot up into the air, instead he stretched out, and then shot up. Beginning the hunt for the shiny little objects he loved.

With a fresh pair of Quidditch gloves in old hand and a brand new broom in the other Casey Daniels was eager to get down to the Quidditch pitch. So much so that he walked straight past the Great hall on his way up from the dungeons. Food could wait, Quidditch could not. As he slipped through the doors he felt a warm breeze hit his face which was always refreshing to someone who lived in a dungeon. As he headed down to the pitch Casey knew that he had a difficult task to make it into the starting team, he was one of three keepers on the team, to his knowledge Slytherin was the only house to have two alternate keepers. It just made the competition that much tougher.

Casey was the first to enter the changing room so he had the freedom of the facilities to change into his robes and padding. By the time he was ready the room had began to fill with other student keen to try out. Some he knew as current alternates and some were fresh faces. Just as the others were finishing up Casey grabbed his broom and headed out onto the pitch, he was soon followed by the rest. He made his way over to the Captain and when asked what position he was trying out for he replied firmly, "Keeper," Casey had briefly considered trying out for chaser as there was an open spot on the roster but keeper was where he felt comfortable. When it was his turn to show what he could do he mounted his broom and flew up to the hoops.

The earlier breeze had now died down to a point that the air was almost still, perfect conditions for Quidditch in Casey's opinion. As the first chaser met his gaze Casey shifted on his broom making sure he was capable of moving swiftly in any direction. He never took his eyes of the Quaffle, the moment it left the chasers hands he watched as it flew through the air, even when Casey dived in the wrong direction he watched as the Quaffle dinked its way into the hoop on his left side. Spurred on by missing his first attempt, Casey lightened his grip on his broom as the second chaser eyed him up. There was a slight twinkle in the young mans eye as he seemed to think he was coming up against an easy target. The shot was low and hard to the hoop on the ride, Casey shifted his weight to the right and dived to catch the Quaffle in his hand and threw it back to the chaser who looked a little disappointed. Casey saved his remaining shots. The third he managed to deflect away with the rear end of his broom stick, the last two required fingertip saves with the young keeper at full stretch across his broomstick but when he returned to the ground he was happy with his mornings work.

Iason made his way to the Quidditch pitch for try-out day. Thankfully he didn't have to try out again, that was something he wouldn't want to have to worry about again. Then again, he was definitely becoming a pretty darn good keeper and he was sure he would do just fine if he had to try out again but he was much happier knowing his place was secure on the team. He sat down on the benches and watching everyone trying out, ready to give a helping hand if need be.

Zechariah wasn't too happy with having to show up for try out day when he wasn't trying out but he also knew that if he didn't show up without good reason, he would loose his place on the Quidditch team and without Quidditch he pretty much had nothing to look forward too at this school. Sitting down on the bench he waited to see if he would be able to help out, and by help out he really just wanting to hit a few bludgers about.

Lucien Snow rushed down to the Quidditch Pitch, feeling like he was running a little late. He eventually arrived, and he apologized to his cousin and the captain. He was here though, and he noticed that he was the only chaser here. Where was Pandora? He shook his head before he took his seat, hoping that more would come and try out, so that they would have another successful year. They won the cup last year, so they needed to keep it within Slytherin hands.

Try outs close tomorrow, so any last posts need to be made and soon!

Alexia Nightray had never thought that she'd be trying out for Quidditch on her second year of study. After all, she had seen it as quite the brutal sport and she had been raised to be a very proper lady. But now, she had seen no other way to get on her father's good side than playing the sport as a player. After all, she was pretty sure that their house team was strong and she had seen that Alexander had slightly gotten on their father's good side because of the sport. Maybe she too could get on their good side because of it. And so, the young Slytherin had decided to try out for the team as a chaser.

Clad in Quidditch gear and robes and a broom in hand, Alexia made her way towards the Pitch where try-outs were supposed to commence. She was not looking forward to this at all, but she may as well try her best. After all, she always did try her best in everything she did. Quidditch would be no different. The girl watched and listened as one of the upperclassmen started the introductions and gave out the instructions for the team to follow. Well, she had such a simple task, passing and shooting. There was only one problem though. Alexia was not much of a team player, but she supposed it was not too late to learn such a concept. If Alexander could do it, then so could she. The younger walked up to Vladimir and did as he had asked, "Alexia Nightray. Chaser," she said with confidence and when she was given the go, she mounted her broom and took off.

The young Slytherin took off and stayed on guard for any chance to receive the quaffle. She knew that she couldn't just steal from them. After all, stealing from teammates was not good but maybe she ought to try that later on. It was then at the corner of her eye that she caught the glint of brown and she chased after it and caught the quaffle in her arms. She tucked it under her right arm safely and with one hand on the broom, she leaned down and flew for the hoops. Every once in a while she had to evade bludgers, but most of the time, she knew that the beaters would be able to handle those nasty things. Soon though, a couple of upperclassmen had intercepted her and without thinking too much, she passed the quaffle to a nearby chaser before following through. She would not let the quaffle be stolen. With that determination she had followed the chaser she had passed the quaffle through earlier and before she knew it, the quaffle was passed back to her as the hoops were nearing. Seeing the keeper more focused on the left hoop rather than the middle and the right, Alex aimed for the rightmost hoop. And she scored! Well, that was one goal, now she just had to practice some more before the results were given out by Vladimir.

Pandora was running a bit behind. For some reason she had completely forgotten about Quidditch. Her mind had been wandering a lot lately. Ever since she had met that boy. Erik was his name? There was something different about him, and he had completely taken over her mind. It sort of bothered her actually. "Sorry I'm late." Pandora breathlessly apologized to her captain and stood off to the side. Vladimir would likely wring her neck if she left him to deal with another Chaser in her place. Their friendship might have been damaged because of a certain bird-like Gryffindor, but Pandora knew she was decent enough at Quidditch for him to keep using her. Hopefully they gained a bunch of new useful players this year too. Pandora fancied the idea of another win against the other houses.
