Ai was at her last year in Hogwarts New Zealand and it was quite a surprise for her that she had gotten the Head Girl position. She had never thought of herself as one with leadership skills anyway, in fact she had only tried to be responsible as a prefect and a captain for the quidditch team but she didn't think that she led them. All she did was make sure that everything that needed to be done was done and if that was leadership skills then she did not know that little fact. Though she was quite proud of herself for her achievements in her Hogwarts years, and surely her parents would have been proud of her too, well except for the fact that she hadn't made up with Conan anyway. Well, she was making progress with Taylor anyway. That had to count for something right? Besides, Ai had had enough of fighting and though she knew it was part of human nature to fight, she wanted nothing more to do than give up on arguments. They had done quite a number on her already and now, all she wanted to do was make her life better. And she should probably start by working on the Quidditch team. She was holding up try-outs again today and though she knew that Hufflepuff had a bad reputation when it came to quidditch since they came dead last in the previous school year, she was not giving up hope. It was her final year in Hogwarts and she was as sure as hell that she was going to make it count.

Ai grabbed her Sienna Storm and walked in quick strides to the Quidditch Pitch to wait for the potential team members to arrive and thankfully she didn't have to wait long. The Head Girl felt like her life was going through hell, but when it came to Quidditch, she would always try to appear welcoming. The last thing they needed on the team was a gloomy presence and Ai understood that much. "So... Welcome to try-outs, guys! And hey there to last year's team members," she finally started to talk as soon as she was sure that no more would arrive. She looked at each of the students' faces and smiled, maybe this year they actually had a chance of winning. "Most of you probably recognize me... But I'm Ai, your team captain and if you have any questions or concerns, you're welcome to address them to me. I don't bite," the Japanese chuckled as she opened the chest with the quaffles that she borrowed for today's try-outs. "Here's the drill: Chasers, grab a quaffle, learn to pass and learn to shoot. Keepers, defend those hoops and try giving the chasers a hard time," Ai said with a slight wink before opening another chest and releasing bludgers and snitches into the air. "Beaters, give yourselves a bat and do protect the team. The bludgers are your job," she told them before looking over at those trying out for seekers. "Seekers, catch yourselves some snitches." she said as she looked at the sky for a moment. It was a bit cloudy and was perfect for playing and holding try-outs. "Everybody got that? Okay, good. Now go!" Ai signaled and everyone took to the airs and she turned to last year's team members with a smile. "You could go practice, keep an eye on them or help me out if you want," she told them before mounting her broom and taking off to watch how those trying-out were doing.

Last year's team members have to post their arrival to be guaranteed a spot in the team while the alternates still have to try-out if they want to be a regular member.. (Courtesy of Kaitlyn and thanks to the Quidditch system.)
The more creative your post will be the better and have fun! :D

And lastly, firsties, PM me first if you want to try out.. Don't worry you'll get your chance.. :D And I don't bite.. :p

Another year, and another round of try-outs. This would mark his third time on the team, and really Graeme was really enjoying playing for Hufflepuff. it was good. They weren't very good, but he still really loved them. he loved playing chaser, and he really enjoyed, just having fun in the air. It was why he kept coming back to the team. He woke up early on the day of the try-outs and got ready very quickly. He was looking forward to at least getting a little bit of flying done for his team. he was very eager to really get stuck in with the quidditch teams. After a light breakfast he headed down to the pitch and waited as their captain then began to go over what was happening, he was glad that he didn't have to do much, and was happy to watch others try out. Maybe this year would be their year.

The try-outs were on today and Kelsey made her way down to the Quidditch Pitch to see how the newbies were doing. She was a little later today, but that was only because she had slept in and then had to look after her broom. As she headed down to the pitch, Kelsey waved at Ai and the others as she took a seat on the grass and fell backwards into it. She was so tired so she was just going to lie here really. She was done for today, she didn't even really want to move. She was quite happy to just lie here in the grass for the rest of practice, because not only was she not feeling the best, but she was just too damn tired to even bother with anything. She was only here so she wouldn't lose her position. Honestly she would be quite happy to just sleep.

William couldn't believe it was his last year at Hogwarts. He had been playing in the Quidditch team since his Second Year, and though beater hadn't been his first choice then, he absolutely loved it now. The try-outs were on today, and William made his way down to the pitch to see them. He knew the team had to be there, but he enjoyed watching try-outs nonetheless. He politely greeted his captain and smiled at the rest of his team before taking at seat next to them, ready for the try-outs to start.

Charlotte loved being back at school, even though she was only back and classes hadn't started yet she just enjoyed being back at the castle. It was a little different now without Peter being there but it was her second year now and she was a lot more settled in herself and didn't need her big brother to look after her any more. Today was the day of the Quidditch try outs and not that she had to try out again but she was excited to see who the new team members would be.

Kris stood along with other students as he faced the Hufflepuff Captain. She was older than him, definitely, probably in her last year, whilst he was in his first, something that would surely be held against him.

She dismissed them with a smile and Kris grabbed himself a bat. Even though he was short, he had a good deal of physical strength, which he would be able to use to his advantage.

He grabbed his broom and took off circling the pitch and watching potential Chasers, getting used to the broom. Then as he looked up he saw a Bludger flying straight towards a young-ish girl, He pushed himself and shot towards the girl, racing the Bludger, which was about to hit any second, and he swung, smashing the iron ball away from the girl and away from other players.

He hovered near the hoops now, watching the players and then out of nowhere both Bludgers came towards him, Without thinking he rolled in mid-air, almost falling off his broom and the Bludgers flew over him and towards the other side of the pitch.

He flew down towards the ground and knocked a few Bludgers off course when they appeared but other than that, he saw little action. He had missed a couple of shots and he was sure Ai would have seen, but he was buzzing by the end.

Giuliano was excited to be trying out for the team. He knew he was only twelve, and so was probably going to be one of the younger members, but he loved Quidditch and had been following it all his life. He had grown up with brooms and watching his older brother, Gabrian play Quidditch and enjoying it, so he was fully prepared to share in the experience. Arturo wasn't so sure, but Giuliano did not really care about his brother's opinion. He was his own person, in his own house, and he was happy to go out and do something that none of his brother's were doing. It was irritating being put in the same box as them, almost infuriating.

Giuliano smiled at the Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain, having seen her around the school and in the Common Room. He knew who she was, since she was a good friend of his older brother, and the Head Girl, which was pretty awesome. Even if her blood wasn't pure, she wasn't a mudblood or anything. He listened to her instructions carefully, wanting to leave a good impression as he knew that such things were always important. He gripped his broom in anticipation. He was planning on going for the Seeker position. He was not sure he had the strength for the Beater position, although maybe if he were older, and he wasn't sure he could be a Keeper. He felt Seeker would be best for him. He was quick, balanced and had good eyes, and he was determined to help fix Hufflepuff's lousy lack with Quidditch. It was painful for the Quidditch fan to watch the games. Oh so painful.

"Giuliano Raven, trying for Seeker."

The young pure blood hit the air as soon as possible, hunting down a snitch as best he could. He flew around the pitch, ducking under players, running through and around the hoops, catching the snitch whenever he was capable. He would take a moments rest to re-organise himself in the air, having to start again each time, and take tie to find another snitch to chase. However, the 'Puff was sure he could do this in a game. It was a lot of fun, and that was the important thing.

This is closing by the end of the week guys.. So go on ahead and try-out.. xD I'm opening this to first years who want to try-out as well.. :p

Alexander was not a huge fan of quidditch nor of any sports for that matter. He preferred to bury his nose in his books and read all day instead of running around just to tire himself out. However, that didn't mean that he knew nothing about it. Despite not being an avid supporter, he knew a great deal about quidditch. After all, when one lives under the same roof with a boy named Armin Nightray, one would be forced to remember every details about it. Honestly, he expected that the older would have tried out for his house's team, but perhaps, he had misread the Gryffindor. Armin didn't like work, he didn't like rules nor did he like to follow someone's order. He wasn't a team player. And nor was he. Alexander didn't have a competitive spirit, yet, there he was, standing with the other hufflepuff students, facing their team captain. The thought of trying out for the team had never crossed the first year's mind when he first stepped his foot on the school, but just a letter from his father and there he was, doing the thing that wasn't even part of his plan in the first place. Sebastian, his father, was extremely competitive and he wanted his children to excel than his siblings', if not in academics, then in other field. Perhaps his father thought that he could be a good athlete. It would have been much better if he had been told to compete with the others in academics. He need not doubt his son when it comes to studying after all. But no, Sebastian Nightray wanted him to try out for quidditch. Never mind that first years had less chance of participating in an actual game. He needed to be part of the team. He wondered whether Alexia had received the same letter too. He never got the chance to ask. But alas, he needed to push all those thoughts to the back of his mind. Concentration was necessary if he wanted to make it into the team.

Alexander listened quietly as their captain explained what they were about to do. He knew her, or at least, she was quite familiar. He knew that she was the Head Girl. Perhaps his sister would want to be one too. He gripped his broom. He was aiming to apply for the keeper position. He knew that their Captain was the keeper, which meant that he would probably be an alternate should he get into the team which lessened his chance of playing in an actual game. But that didn't matter. He wasn't fit to be a beater. He wasn't strong enough. He couldn't be a chaser either. That would require too much team work, though admittedly, what he was entering to required a great deal of team work. He didn't want to be a seeker. though he had good eyes, he didn't want to fly around the field just to hunt down the snitch. That would take too much effort. He thought keeper suited him best. He need only to cover a small area and protect the goal. He need not fly around the entire field.

"Alexander, trying for keeper."

The young Nightray mounted the broom and went to his position. He watched as the game unfold before his eyes. Potential chasers kept on passing the quaffle between them, and bludgers were flying everywhere, the potential beaters were trying to protect the players from it. Alexander stayed on the center, his eyes trained on the chasers coming to his direction. He only needed to protect the hoops, and prevent the other team from scoring, right? Someone came flying towards him and attempted to shoot the quaffle to the right hoop. With a swift turn of his broom, the eleven year old caught it though not as gracefully as he intended to. Perhaps it wasn't as easy as he thought it would be. He put the quaffle back into the game. Through out the entire try out, he made a few misses. It was exhausting. He was panting when he reached the ground. He gave their captain a nod as a gesture of appreciation. Being a member of this team would not be easy, but at least, he would be able to fulfill his father's wish.

Emily Hayes-Magonus was really excited for Quidditch. Ever since she had started at Hogwarts she had really wanted to join the Quidditch team, so she was beyond ecstatic when she discovered that there was actually a position available that she could go for, however, that left the slight problem of not allowing first years to play under normal circumstances. However, she had rectified that by asking permission off of the Headgirl, who also happened to be their team captain. Eventually Ai had said that it would be okay for her and so she quickly made her way down to the pitch. She was really excited to be on the team as she had been a flyer from a very young age. Continuing that now, would be the most amazing thing and would make her feel amazing all over! Quidditch was something she was really quite passionate about and so she was really happy to be able to rush down to the pitch even if she was going to have to use one of the schools brooms. If she made the team, maybe her mother would buy her a broom. That would be really great if she did that, because it would mean that her mother supported her decision, after all she'd not asked her mother's permission before asking Ai. She hoped her mother wasn't too mad.

Making it down to the Quidditch pitch, Emily, who was dressed in shorts and a jumper, immediately stood at attention as she listened to the Captain give her instructions. Upon finishing what she had to say, Ai dismissed them to go after their desired position and Emily immediately headed over to Quaffles with the rest of the Chaser wannabe's. Emily knew she could fly, question was, could she shoot. "Emily Hayes-Magonus, Chaser!" She mounted her broom, quaffle in hand and immediately took off into the air. She flew around the pitch a couple of times, flanked by two other hopefuls as the passed the quaffle back and forwards to each other. When they thought they were ready, Emily gave a nod and she turned sharply on her broom and headed back towards the rings. As soon as she got close enough to the hoops, she shot the quaffle towards it and preyed as it soared towards it. Could she shoot? The quaffle went straight through, yes she could. Emily smiled and gave a cheer, before turning back to continue the shooting and passing.

Soon it was time to finish up and Emily shot the Quaffle to the hoop one more time. In the end she had managed to rack up six shots, and she had only missed three, which was pretty good. She just hoped she would be good enough to make the team. She landed in front of Ai and smiled. "Thanks for letting me try out!" She appreciated it and she was glad she had been allowed. Nodding slightly and grinning from ear to ear, Emily left the pitch on a high, she couldn't wait to find out whether or not she had made it onto the team. She hoped that she did, she really wanted to play!

Charlotte had mixed emotions when it came to Quidditch. Though for the most part she often preferred to just watch the game, she was urged to try out because she knew how to play the game pretty well due to all the games she had seen in the past. Plus becoming more involved with the school and the activities could never hurt. "I'll probably just get stuck as an alternate though, first years aren't very likely to make the team." Charlotte knew this two. Though from what she heard, a few years ago a lot of first years made the actual team. Ivaylo's adorable cousin Vladimir was one of them, and he was already a captain! Charlotte only wished she could be half that amazing! Maybe with a bit of luck and practice on her side, she'd be able to gain enough talent to get up there. Charlotte carried the broom she had borrowed onto the Pitch and grinned at the captain. "My name is Charlotte Baros, and I'll be trying out for Chaser!" Hopefully they didn't already rule her out because of her gentle nature. Yes she seemed a bit too graceful for this game at times, but Charlotte could be a beast when she wanted to be. After a few others had tried out, Charlotte figured it was her turn and mounted her broomstick. Whether or not she made the team, she'd be happy that she got over her worries and actually tried out for the team. Maybe if she made the team, her crush would begin to notice her a little more.

Charlotte kicked her body off the ground and hovered for a moment before she grabbed the handle of the broom and flew up into the air. Someone released the Quaffle for her and Charlotte caught it with ease. The second year tucked the Quaffle under her arm and started off towards the hoops that she needed to try and score on. Charlotte figured her shots would get blocked, but she was going to attempt to get it in as many times as she possibly could. Charlotte sped forward and stopped just as she got to the hoops. With the strongest arm possible, she hurled the Quaffle right at the hoops. It was blocked this time, but Charlotte figured she could always try again. The Quaffle was tossed back out to another player, who in turn tossed it at Charlotte. Charlotte caught it with both of her hands and re-tucked it under her arm again. This time she would try another method of scoring she had read about. Charlotte sped toward the hoops once more and pretended that she was going to throw the Quaffle in one direction, then quickly switch over to another direction. She tossed the Quaffle and to her delight, it actually went through the hoop. Charlotte threw the keeper an apologetic smile. Charlotte wanted to try one more time to make sure she was noticed and nodded to have the Quaffle thrown to her one last time. This time she almost missed catching it, but thankfully she nicked it with her fingertips and it fell into her lap. Charlotte tucked the quaffle under her arm one last time and zipped off to the hoops.

Hurriedly, she tossed the Quaffle inside and watched as it was blocked again. The Keeper was really good. She was glad that she wasn't on another team having to face off against the person. Charlotte also participated in some tossing drills to show that she was easily able to throw and catch the Quaffle without much problem. Her throwing probably wasn't as far as it needed to be, but with her being as small as she was, that was probably due to the fact that she hadn't been exercising her arm as much. Charlotte lowered her broom down to the ground and avoided making eye contact with the captains. She hoped she had done well enough to at least not get laughed at by the older team members. Most of them were pretty damn good.

Bridget woke early that morning and hurriedly ate her light breakfast before making her way down to the Quidditch pitch. She was feeling far more confident in herself this year, and had given herself plenty of time to practice over the holidays. Tying her hair into a loose ponytail, she arrived at the pitch and greeted her fellow team mates. There were lots of try outs this year, which only boosted Bridget's confidence in the team. She was positive that this would be her best year yet. She cheered on the try outs as they zoomed past, once again relieved that it wasn't her up there in the spotlight this year. She knew how daunting it felt to be watched by so many people, and how important it felt to do well. Bridget grinned as a keeper blocked a Quaffle. She was certain this was going to be a good year for Hufflepuff.
