Jeremy stood on the pitch, his chin resting on the end of his broom as he waited for his Ravenclaw housemates to come in and express their interest in trying out. The Ravenclaw 7th year had seen several of the old team around the common room over the past few days and he'd reminded them that tryouts were going to be seen even before he'd posted the signs around the common room. Jeremy had a clipboard on the bench that he'd split into several categories that he planned to use to judge. The seventh year was a stickler for organization (at least when it came to note-taking) and his quidditch notes were no exception. The boy had a notebook where he kept different things such as the people on the other teams and what they were good at and not so good at as well as information that he had on himself and other teammates' play.

As his housemates entered the pitch and took their place around him, Jeremy hoped that he was ready to hold these tryouts. Kamaria had left him as the sole captain without naming him a co-Captain and he knew that she had to have done it for a reason. She believed that he could do it. He had to believe it too. Clearing his throat, Jeremy began speaking. "Hi...I'm glad you are all here for the tryouts." He spoke in his usual voice, and then realized that he should probably be a bit more authoritative. "I want you all to tell me what position you're trying out for and then take to the sky. If you're trying out for Chaser, I want you practice passing the quaffle, stealing the quaffle and shooting through the hoops. I've let out a snitch already, so Seekers you should try to go find it. Beaters, pick up a bat and practice defending the chasers." He nodded his head and then realized he'd forgotten a position. "And Keepers! Get to the North goal and I want you to take turns defending the hoops."

Jeremy nodded towards the players, wanting them to get started. As they went up in their air and began to play, Jeremy picked up his clipboard and began to take notes from the ground. After a bit, he took to the sky and took his clipboard with him, taking notes as well. When he had all of the information that he needed, Jeremy thanked everyone for trying out and informed them that he would post the team soon. He had to think on it for a while.

Sara hurried down to the pitch, her rugsack flung over her shoulder. She was already in her gear, and wa ready to fly. "Hey Jeremy." she greeted the oler boy as she reached thepitch, and continued on her run, to the storage cupboard to get her broom. She was really looking forward to this, she'd seen posters about it in the common room, and she'd been on the team since second year, so this wasn't anything new to her. She hurried back out to here Jeremy was waiting, and listened to his introduction. "Sara Moon-trying out for seeker." she announced, then she hooked her leg round her broom and kicked off. Her eyes were already searching he field, for that faint flash of gold that she was sure she would find. Within a few seconds she was high above the ground, she could see people walking past, flecks on the ground.. The image brought her back to her first year, watching the quidditch with Gilbert williams, and running up to the pitch to see more closely what was going on. She shook her head to bring herself back to reality, she'd lost valuable seconds, though she was one of the first in the sky, so it wan't an unforgiveable mistake. A glint of gold caught her eye in the South. She flew up to the Southern hoops, where hopeful chasers had already begun practicing. Looking around, the only gold she could see ws a watch. she frowned slightly at that and flew back to the centre of the pitch. She was lucky she was an experienced flier. She'd been on the team before, twice as seeker, and she was used to the movement of the snitch. She didn't envy her fellow hopefuls their nerves, she'd felt terrified on her first tryout.

Her eyes searched the pitch, and she flew over and backwards to no avail. Where the hell was the snitch? She was sure she had't overlooked anything. She was going to miss out on any chance to impress Jeremy if she continued like this. A sudden brainwave hit her, and she flew up, nowhere in the rulebook did it say there ws a height restriction for the snitch. She flew straight up, and looked around. Maybe..just maybe..she was pulling at the wrong straw. Her hair flipped in her face, and she quickly tied it back with a bobbin around her hand, the wind was stronger up here. She searched the pitch, her eyes trained against the dull colours in the background. She needed that little glint, a flash of brilliance to draw her eye. Her eyes felt strained, and she could feel a headache coming on. Still, from here, she coould see the entire pitch. She could see the tiny forms of the chasers, like worker ants passing an grain of dirt from one to another. she could see the beaters, like bees, buzzing from one sopt to another, it almost looked as though they were playing ping-pong. Then she saw it-the snitch, right below her, almost a metre or so above the ground. She went into a headfirst dive, straight to the ground. She lay flat against her broom, her long, brunette hair flowing along her back, whipping against her neck, felt like it sliced into her skin. The sunlight behind her cast her shadow on the ground, and she could feel the warmth of it on her back. Such small details burned in her mind. She could feel her heart racing, the adrenaline rush of flight, which burned in her every time she took to the skies. It was the same feeling as going on stage. She could never give this up. She could see the ground getting closer, three metres, two metres, and suddenly-the snitch moved! She pulled out of her dive, and chased after it, to the North end of the pitch, she flew as though her life depended on it. The bobbin had long ago flown from her hair, lost somewhere among the air-thin leaves of grass covering the pitch. Her breath rushed out of her, the air slicing into her skin. She was at the base of the goals now, and climbing, she passed the Keepers who were trying out, she was by the stands now, and steadily gaining on the snitch. Slowly, or rather quickly, but each second felt like a lifetime, she began to move toward the centre of the pitch once more. Her robes were billowing behind her, she longed to rip them off, to lose all inhibitions and catch the snitch, it almost felt as though her robes were shackles tying her to the ground. In a final spurt of speed, she grew level with the snitch it played around her fingertips, and she flung hersef forward in a desperate attemt to make the catch...And suceeded. She felt the coldness of the snitch in her hand, the cool elegance of the gold shining in the sunlight. "Yes!" she whooped, not caring that it was just try-outs, that had been one of the most entertaining exhilerating catches of her life. She glided to the ground, and landed at the side of the pitch, the snitch still struggling in her tight fist. Her breathing was heavy and she leaed against her broom for support. she just hoped it had been enough.

I'm not sure if you wanted me to catch the snitch or not-if not I can edit. :D

Ever since Kamaria Zhefarovich had graduated, he was unsure if he would try out for Quidditch, that is until he heard that the Captain of the team was Jeremy, someone that he often looked up to because of how good he was in classes, enough to earn the Prefect badge at least. He had to be a good guy. Isaia dressed in his quidditch robes, and he looked over his form. He wondered if he should try out for Keeper or Beater. He was a beater the previous year, but now he was just unsure. He knew that he didn't want to be a Chaser or a Seeker. Besides, they had their own Seeker, Sara Moon. She was superb at it, from what he knew. It was not long before he had arrived to the pitch, where he smiled at the Captain, and he announced, "Isaia Romanes, trying out for Beater." He hoped that Jeremy would not mind him so much being the Beater. After Kamaria's graduation, they were going to be short a keeper. He could fill in from time to time, but he hoped that someone else would arrive soon in order to take over that spot. Someone with skills no less. Isaia waited for the other Ravenclaws to arrive before he heard Jeremy tell them what they were going to have to do. He nodded, knowing that he had to grab a bat, and protect the Chasers at all cost. Isaia thought that there would be an easier job for him than for the others. Beaters had it easy, all they had to do was be protective. He cracked his neck, and he mounted onto his Sapphire Streak. Isaia then realized that he needed that bat before he could protect. Climbing off of his broom, he went over and grabbed a bat. Chuckling, he mounted his broom once more, and he soared up into the skies.

Other chasers had taken to the air as well, and Isaia made sure to hover around the action. He could see one bludger heading toward a chaser with the quaffle. Rushing off after it, Isaia gripped his bat tight in his hand before he swung it. A thunderous crack echoed across the pitch as the bludger was sent flying elsewhere. Isaia looked around, his eyes very much aware of his surroundings, because there might be another one around here somewhere. Isaia continued to fly around the chasers, not getting in the way of anyone that was trying out to the best of his abilities. He did not want anyone to be mad at him during the try outs at all. He saw another bludger swerving in to take out another chaser, and Isaia managed to get to it before it made contact with the chaser. He waved to the person trying out, to tell them that they were in good, safe hands and completely safe from the black metal beasts. Isaia started to feel the pain of being a beater now, and he thought that he ought to practice more because he was starting to get sore with his upper arm. Isaia flew around, stayed around the same area of the pitch as the chasers, because it was his job to protect them. He doubted that he would have to protect the seeker. After some time, Isaia lowered himself to the ground, not too much longer after the seeker had landed, or rather the person that was trying out for seeker named Sara Moon. Isaia set the bat on the ground, and he uttered, "I need to make sure to get in better shape." He moved his arm that the bat was in around and around, moving the bone around in its socket. Yes, he would need to get his muscles back.

Yerik Rhys Price knew that today would be their try-outs, but his reaction differ from last year's try-outs. He wasn't rushing, the claw was calm as he knew that everything will turn out fine. Instead he tried to not panic and arrive the pitch a bit late, he knew that only a few members would show up during that time. He saw a couple of familiar faces, including their captain Jeremy. Yerik Rhys haven't actually socialize with the prefect but he did wanted too. Fate was just testing him somehow, the boy then arrived at the Quidditch pitch noticing that there were already two student's trying out. He stopped for a minute and saw a fellow beater of the team. Recognizing him from last year if he wasn't mistaken, he stood there fixing his gear before taking off. Glancing at Jeremy, "Yerik Rhys Price, trying out for Beater once again." he said to him then quickly he lifted off. A bat on his arms, ready to protect the hoops. The air was rushing through his face feeling every dust on his face, he knew that he needed to take a shower after the try-outs. As he was just starting to balance himself, the bludger began to hit him on the back. Still Yerik managed to get back on his broom, with a tight grip he leveled himself higher to avoid the bludger for a couple of seconds.

The bludger then followed his fellow teammate, a chaser. Hurriedly he followed it's trail and was inches near to it, he got his bat and lowered himself trying to estimate the angle. As it was about to hit the chaser, he used his wand to hit it away from him. The bludger then continued to annoy the others, steadily on his broom he mounted and then circled his way to approach it. He winked at the chaser and continued to follow the next, another hit for him as he reached it just in time. After guarding two chasers he wondered if that was enough, still he felt he did what he needed to do. As he was about to return to the ground, Yerik saw the bludger coming his way and hit it with his strength. Making it bounce around the grass and flew once again. Checking it was safe to return now, the claw lowered himself and landed safely. It was refreshing to play once more to hit the bludger, thanks to his Baseball skill back when he was eight. He knew how to hit a ball and most likely a hard bludger like that before, as Yerik Rhys was now on the grass he nodded to Jeremy and waited for the rest to try-out. He wanted to see how his other teammates try-out for the team, maybe again or their first time. Still it was still fascinating to watch them show off their skill up in the air, Yerik Rhys stood a couple of inches away from their captain.

Oliver felt a little more relaxed heading into this years Quidditch tryouts having the experience of last year under his belt. He arose early that morning threw on his practice robes and slung his broomstick over his shoulders and headed down to the Quidditch pitch just as the sun rose. When the rest of the team hopefuls arrived Oliver had just touched down from practicing. He then dropped his broom to his feet and went over to the group to talk to the captain. "Oliver Halliwell, trying out for Chaser," Oliver spoke with a confidence he'd developed after his previous team experience. When the prospective players broke off into groups Oliver joined the group of chasers as they mounted their brooms and began to pass around the Quaffle. Oliver took the Quaffle in his hands and sped towards the goal posts, the Keeper hovered in front of the central post, Oliver leaned back on his broom to slow down as he approached the Keeper, he shifted the Quaffle to his left hand and threw it towards the left hoop putting all his weight behind it. GOAL.

The rest of the tryout seemed to fly-by. Oliver made more shots, some missed, some were saved but all in all he was happy with the performance he put in and when he touched the ground with his fellow chasers and dismounted his broom he felt confident that he would make the team once again. "Thanks Captain," He said happily as he passed the team Captain.

Makaylah walk out to the pitch in comfortable clothing and her broom in hand. She was uber excited to be trying out again for the team. For the past few years she manage to make it each time she she tried out. It was twice, but still she thought she was pretty lucky considering she didn't follow the sport all to well professionally. She would see her brother practice all the time and had connections with a few professional because of the Hollands. Still she always felt brand new when she went for chaser, in her usual joyous self, Makaylah arrived at the pitch waving at Jeremy the team captain. "Hey Jeremy, I am going for chaser again! Nice job on getting captain, man you deserved it" she said before taking up to the skies and waiting for the quaffle to be thrown.

Makaylah caught it first, the hard ball landed between her arms and sides. She was distracted for a moment what to do with it, when she saw a fellow claw asked for to passed it. Makaylah too her chance and gave up the ball, this always prove to be a little harder when flying but the other person had caught, Makaylah cheered as they went forward to score. "Nice job!' she quickly shouted then went around the pitch once as keeper held the ball and waited to see who would they pass it too. Makaylah kept her eyes on the ball, she saw it coming her way, she caught it like last time. This time she was ready to score on her own, she went dashing down the center of pitch, a beater ball almost collided with the arm in which she held the quaffle. Makaylah ducked quickly five feet down in mid-air, she had dodge a bullet there. It would be a pain to get hit by one of those, still she did pretty good not getting attack by a buldger. Makaylah flew onward quaffle in hand, from a distant close to the third hoop, she tossed it and the keeper blocked her shot.

A little discourage, she wasn't giving up that easy. She went for the ball when it was thrown in another direction, since she was so close she took her chances one more time. Makaylah tossed the quaffle in, this time she had made inside the hoop. She was so lucky her arms were always strong from walking around at home and surfing whenever she was bored during the summer. From the looks of it, she would be better at chasing then any other position. She hope she would make it on the team, it would give her something to talk about with her siblings and friends back home.

Ryuuji Tsukino had always been fond of anything that is related to sports. He had always been an athletic individual, that in fact, during his normal school days, when he was still in muggle school, he had always been sought and offered position in the different sports club, such as baseball and soccer. He had to turn down most of it though for the lack of time, busy with studies and busy at home, he had never had any time to join in any actual competition. When he entered Hogwarts, he had thought that those days of dreaming of actually participating in a sport event would never ever happen again, that is why it was so much of a surprise for him when he discovered about quidditch, a wizarding sport played on broomsticks. The game is pretty much like the muggle football, and when Ryuuji watched last years event, he was so deeply moved by it that he had decided to try out for his house's team. This is why right now, at this very moment, he was standing in the quidditch pitch with his broom in hand. He was excited, no, he was OVER excited of the try out. He knew that he may not be as good as the others try out for the team and he has less experience, but he wanted to be in it so much more. It would be his first time, but he had practiced really hard for it, and he confident of his skills, and be it that he would be accepted or not, it's fine. He'll do his best and hopefully, everything will work out just fine.

"Ryuuji Tsukino", he said, bowing a little to show respect to the team captain. He was shaking, not from nervousness but from the excitement that he is finding hard to contain. "I'm trying out for keeper, sir.." He added, a huge smile plastered on his face. He knew that chasers, seekers, and beaters were more popular, but he was not after the fame, he was after the thrill and enjoyment of being part of the team. And he knew that the position of a keeper is really important too, it was a good position, but he knew that it was far from easy too.

After listening to the captain's instructions, Ryuuji mounted his broom and took off into the sky, flying into the north goal as they were instructed to do so. He hovered in front of the hoops, his eyes glues to the happening around him. He watched the other students, those who are trying out for seekers were still looking for the snitch. He smiled, it was like they were looking for a needle in a haystack after all. This thought was cut off as his eyes caught a glimpse of a chaser heading towards him. His blood pumped from excitement. It's now his turn to show what he got. "I'm fine, I practiced hard for this" He muttered repeatedly under his breath, eyes trained like a hawk waiting for his pray, his lips forming a thin line. He would never let this chaser score. Ryuuji quickly maneuvered his brrom so as to catch the quaffle that the said chaser throw. It was a pretty lame try if he should say as he had caught it with much ease. "Mada mada dane senpai.." He said, smiling a little as he threw the quaffle back to the game, watching the chasers go after it once more. That smile was immediately replaced with a frown as a bludger went past him. Luckily, he was agile. With his quick reflexes, he was able to dodge the said bludger. Just one hit from that and he was sure that he'll have his bone broken. Eyes turning red in annoyance, Ryuuji tried to calm himself as he saw another chaser trying to score a goal. Flying around, he made a spectacular dive as he barely caught the quaffle in the last minute. He needed to be calmer if he wanted to keep distractions away from his game. The try out went on for what seemed like an eternity until finally, someone went after him again. Taking a deep breath, he encouraged himself once more. He would never ever let anyone score, he would protect the goal no matter what, that is just how dedicated he is to this game. The chaser was quite experienced it seemed as the quaffle went by him in a spectacular speed. Thankfully though, as lady luck seems to have taken a liking in him, Ryuuji had caught it. "Got it.." He said, a laugh escaping him as he threw the quaffle back to the game and let another student trying out for keeper to guard the post. He hope that he would make it into the team, he had a lot more things to learn, but he was also willing to train harder if needed be.

Jeremy was pleased to see the turn out this year. It was true that the team had lost a big player in Kamaria, but Jeremy was confident that the team would find someone to fill her position. Watching as tryouts progressed, Jeremy took diligent notes that he would review later on in the day.
