With a fully belly and a happy heart, Jeremy Thorne made his way out of the castle and towards the quidditch pitch. A shiny 'C' badge was pinned to his practice robes, and as he walked, the young man gave it a gentle pat to be sure it was still safely on. Jeremy still couldn't quite believe that Austin Devereaux, the previous captain, had named him co-Captain along with a sixth year named Kamaria. He'd been pinching himself all throughout his summer in the states, but since he'd never startled himself awake during any of those pinchings, he knew it was certainly true. He hoped so anyway because he and Kamaria were about to hold their first try-outs. With his Emerald Streak tucked under his arm, Jeremy strode onto the pitch and headed over to the shed to take out the practice gear while he awaited the others. He hummed as he went about taking out practice brooms and the chest that contained the practice bludger, quaffle and snitch.

OOCOut of Character: Instructions
Welcome! Please simply come by and post your greeting and then wait for instructions. The tryouts are open to members from last year's team and any Ravenclaw student who is in second year and above.

Ravenclaw Prefect named Kamaria Zhefarovich was heading out on the pitch to go join up with Jeremy Thorne, her co-Captain. She could not believe that Austin had split the captain position between a boy and a girl. Kara thought that she would get along with the boy so she did not mind it. She was the Keeper, and she would let Jeremy lead more than her because she was not much of a leader. Kara enjoyed being in the background. With her sapphire streak in her hand, she walked out onto the pitch to meet with Jeremy, before flashing him a friendly smile and she greeted, "Congrats on the Prefect title, and Co-Captain as well." Kara allowed her streak to hover off the ground at just the right height, before she perched on it, and waited for the others to arrive. Kara crossed her long legs concealed by her blue Quidditch robes, and tied her hair into a ponytail. For trying out the chasers, they would have to get through the Keeper first. She smirked as she thought about that challenge.

Sara was much more confident this year, than she had been last year when she tried out for the team. she had been chosen as seeker last year, and she hoped she would do the same this year. She had gotten ready early that morning, and had practised yesterday afternoon, so she thought she'd be okay. She ate a hurried breakfast and ran out of the great hall, with some disapproving looks from teachers on the corridor and ran down toward the pitch. She slowed as she approached the pitch, where the two co-captains were standing. "Hey guys, I'm trying out for seeker again.." she she smiled, then she fetched her broom from the broom-cupboard. her parents had offered to buy her a new broom this Summer, but she couldn't bring herself to part with it. She loved flying, and the broom responded to her every touch, and was of course-very fast. She walked back over to where the Captains were standing and awaited instructions.

Yerik Rhys sighed, rolling out of his bed with a loud thud. Ignoring the protesting groans and grumbles from his sleeping dorm mates, Yerik rubbed his eyes. Slowly, his misty blue orbs became acquainted with the dimmed brightness of the early morning. Blinking several times, the ravenclaw ran a hand through his messy black mane. He pulled a strand around his shoulder, closer to his face, so that he could inspect it. The raven color of his hair glittered in the muted lighting of the room, giving off the same familiar shine he saw everyday. His fingers ran over the fine strands, feeling for knots and bumps. When he was satisfied, decided he needed a new haircut. Normally, Yerik wasn't up this early, but the previous night hadn't been kind to him. Like usual, he tossed and turned in a restless fit all night. However, it normally calmed down and allowed him three to five hours of sleep. Unfortunately, it wasn't one of those nights. In fact, Yerik was counting his lucky stars that he actually got a half hour of sleep after that night.

With a groan, Yerik pushed himself up from his bed, then fixing his sheets after. Like a zombie in a bad movie, the boy skulked around the room looking for clothes. His pale hands combed over the room, coming into contact with hundreds of items, but not really feeling any of them. As he was done deciding on what to wear for the try-outs he starting to tie his newly bought shoes and made his way into the Quidditch Pitch. It was his first try-outs for the team and how he hope he could be a part of the team, wishing he would be permanent and not an alternative. Obviously, he wasn't the first one to arrive. "Hello, Good day. Yerik Rhys Price trying out for...uhmm Beater." he said to the players trying to flash a smile but it ended up as a smirk.

Even if NEWTs were a pain in the behind and were bound to take up all her time, Lucy knew she needed some release. A way to take out her stress in a healthy environment, by swinging a bat and hitting painful metal balls at people. In other words, she was back for one last year of Quidditch as a Beater.

At 5'10", Lucy may have looked relatively pretty and slender. But appearances couldn't fool anybody. Her arms were tanned and muscled, as were her legs. She'd lost any sort of puppy fat, and now extra weight was simply muscle. It wasn't obvious strength, but her body strength was well and truly supplemented by her strength of heart, making her even more formidable when she wanted to be. She'd suffered through various trials and now, in her seventh year, she was back, and she was ready to play Quidditch.

"Hey guys. Lucinda Buckley here. Ready to kick ass, and chew bubblegum." She looked up at the other students, all younger than her. "And I'm all out of gum." Likely nobody got the reference, being something particularly muggle, and an old reference when she herself was born. "And by that, I mean I'm here to play Beater."

Makaylah put fourth a game face, like she had told the Slytherin girl name Milena, she was actually gearing herself to try out for quidditch this year. A part of her was scared, she could almost feel the beads of sweat increase by her close palm. The broom she carried to the tryout was an old sweep, not the best broom out there, she could already predict this was going to be hell on earth for her. This broom is the bottom of all brooms, in fact it was so low in standard, little six years wouldn't even ride this thing. Oh well, they'll have to deal, the best she could do for now was the sweep, maybe if she like it and the try-outs go well she'll ask her mom to buy her something way more better. Perhaps a firebolt, still she had to remembered she was still a newbie and starting out. Anything besides an old fire bolt will wipe the Ravenclaw girl out, tis was pathetic already, imagine her approaching the group of fellow house mate with this broom.

She made by the pitch, most of the kids were younger than her or a little about the same age. Only one girl seem older, this relax Makaylah a little. "Hey I'm Makaylah and I'm going for, beater...ermmm" she fumble the rest. There she had spoken, as crazy it felt, she kinda also felt proud. It was finally time to be someone new!

Hezikiah wanted to be a seeker for his first year at HNZ. He had transferred from Durmstrang, as he thought it was boring. He decided to participate in school activities here. He walked to the pitch to try out for his well-wanted position in Quidditch. He walked over to the group of Ravenclaws and introduced himself. "Hello there. I'm Hezikiah, and I'm a hopeful seeker.", he said. He wasn't that shy, unlike at Durmstrang. Hezikiah hated Durmstrang because it was way too complicated and boring. Most of the students were going for Beater, as he noticed. Sounded like a pretty common spot.

Jeremy nodded his head at the other Ravenclaws who were entering the quidditch pitch for tryouts. He smiled at Kamaria and stepped closer to her so that they could speak about what they wanted their housemates to do. He didn't know the other co-Captain very well, but they were both prefects as well so he knew they would have plenty of opportunities between meetings, practices and being the common room to get to know each other.

Once enough people had shown up, Jeremy turned to Kamaria to confer with her for a few moments. When he turned back to the crowd, he spoke again. "Thanks for coming to try-outs! Ok...what we're going to have you do is this. If you're trying out for Chaser, I'm going to hand you a quaffle and I want you to head toward the North hoops and attempt to get it through the goals. Keeper people, head to the North goals and take turns defending from the Chasers. I'm going to release bludgers for Yerik, Lucinda and Makaylah. You can grab a bat here and get to work. Sara, Hezekiah, I'm going to release a couple of snitches. Kamaria and I will be flying around and watching." He walked over to the trunk and opened it, releasing the balls. "Ok...if there are no questions, let's get in the air." He grabbed his new broom, ready to push off once everyone else had done so.

OOCOut of Character: Instructions
Please follow the instructions given. Obviously, the more creative the RP is, the better.

If you are coming in to try-outs now, simply make it obvious what position (s) you are trying out for as you RP your try-out.

With a solid agreement from the Ravenclaw boy, Yerik smile seemed to double instantly. People liked going outdoors, well most people. It was time to show him what he practiced for years, other than muggle sports Yerik was always interested and had the burning passion for Quidditch. Nodding one or twice at the Prefect he then got a sturdy bat on his left hand and help his broom to tight. He was born as a left handed ever since, still that didn't stopped him from joining the game. "Up!" he muttered loudly while watching his broom rise up on the ground. He then got on his broom and swiftly went up on the pitch awaiting for the ball to hit him. He could feel his body tingling with excitement as it is his first time to be here and actually playing the known game. As the bludger was released Yerik immediately followed it and circling the whole place just to find the right angle.

As Yerik got the perfect position awaiting for the bludger to hit him, he quickly rotated. His head was now under his broom and in just second he quickly rotated back and hit the bludger as hard as he can. Forcing it to go inside the goal hoop. Just tom make sure it would go in, he moved forward and was prepare if the bludger or the keeper would stop it from entering the hoop. Yerik closed his fist and watched the bludger with wide open eyes , assuring that the ball was ready to enter the hoop. Finally, the keeper failed to block the goal hoop and Yerik was filled with joy in his heart. The bludger went straight through the hoop, Yerik nodded and wanted to try it once more, though he wasn't sure if that was actually enough for the try -outs for the part of becoming a Beater for the team. He felt that the position of the beater would suit him best. Once the bludger was back on track he then again followed it like a hungry beast wanting for more.

Makaylah felt the bubbling in her stomach started to make her nervous. She couldn’t say she knew the sport by heart, the girl was a newbie compare to the rest of her teammate, and the only way she could relate to quidditch was by the connection of all her brothers. Each and everyone one of them own their own brooms and had played the sports back home (away from the muggels) they played the sports rough and fast. Makaylah didn’t run fast in school, she avoided running at all cause because of their switching staircase. Imagine her catching speed way up high in the air, her stomach was flipping like pancakes by now, she mounted here broom and gather speed steadily raising her broom to the air.

Right in the air, she had the beater bad at hand and her other hand control the swaying of the broom. She lean down the sweep, her posture fell grand. The sweep performs well while she was in the air, but it was slow, in relief the sweep was able to move with her guidance. However her performance was frail and when she needed to swing g for practice, she swung a few times in a misleading direction. ”I don’t know but for some reason I can’t seem to get the hang of this Jeremy!’ she cried to the team captain. Right there she wanted to quit, give up on trying a sport made for the tough and ruthless. Or perhaps, beater did not suit the small claw at all.

Oliver walked down to the Quidditch pitch for the tryouts. His new broomstick in one hand and his practice robe in the other. He was glad to be finally able tryout for the Quidditch team. He had practiced a little of the game when he was growing up but with first years not being allowed to play he fell out of practice since he'd started school. Today he would be trying out for the position of either Keeper or Beater. Once in the stadium he slipped on the robe and mounted his broom and awaited further instruction.

Jeremy, the captain of the team, released some snitches for Hezikiah. Another girl was also trying out for seeker, so, Hezikiah had to get the little golden ball before the girl did, he figured. He set out on to the field and searched around for one of the snitches. He noticed one high on the field, so he quickly jumped on his broomstick and flew up towards it. The little ball was going very fast, but so was Hezikiah. He shot up into the sky and grabbed for the snitch.
Hezikiah opened up his hand and found the golden ball trying to get away from his grasp. "I caught the snitch!", he announced to the captain, proud for himself. He flew back down to the pitch and waited to hear if he was the new Ravenclaw seeker. His performance was good enough to get him at least the spot of an alternate, if not seeker in general.
