Wizengamot Trial, 2039: Chase Blade
iLo82rt.gif

Chase Blade, a man tried for attempted murder was once again called for a hearing today. He was first put on trial about twelve years ago and pleaded guilty to then minister, Seraphine Snow. He was brought before the Wizengamot again, several years later, to decide if he was yet fit to be released. Minister Snow found that he was still a threat to the magical community and sent him back to Azkaban for another three years. Mr Blade's latest hearing was presided over by the current Minister, Cameron Kingsley, former Minister, Seraphine Hensel nee Snow and Wizengamot member, Katherine Alicastell. Mr Blade was asked numerous questions by the Wizengamot as they tried to decide whether he was fit to be released and he did his best to convince them that he shouldn't go back to prison. Mr Blade seemed adamant that he would never again harm another person and spoke of his guilt toward his actions all those years ago. When asked about what he intended to do on the outside and whether or not he would reoffend, Mr Blade stated that he in fact had a lover that he hoped was waiting for him. Whether this is true, is unknown, but he seemed very sure of the fact. Despite knowing that he would never again be allowed a wand, Mr Blade reinforced the fact that he didn't much care for magic anymore and that he would be happy to do whatever the Wizengamot thought best to ensure that he would get out of Azkaban alive. Despite his many assurances that he would never again raise his wand for bad, Mr Blade was returned to Azkaban for another three years. The decision was unanimous as the belief that the man was still very much a danger to society was strong in each and every member of the Hearing. It is clear that our new Minister will not be giving leniency to dark wizards. Chase Blade will continue to suffer at the hands of the evil he intended to do, whilst those of us on the right side of the law remain just a little bit safer.
