Hinata had sent out the notices to the Wild Patch Club weeks ago when they were finally approved to host the rose deliveries for this semester. Which was great, because otherwise, Hina wouldn't have known what to do with all the roses they grew. It had been a lot of help that Eli had taken it upon himself to help her with every step of the planning and preparation of the event. Now all that everyone had to do was help with making sure all of the roses' thorns had been properly removed, just handing out quills and inkpots and cards for the students to write on, and she was pretty sure some of the members would be acting as deliverers today. She and Eli would be the last to deliver roses for any stragglers later in the afternoon, but for now, they were pretty much parked in the Great Hall assisting with the sorting and handing off to the deliverers. "Arigato gozaimasu!" she called out to the deliverer that just left after she'd handed them a basket of roses. "D-do we need more roses from the Garden? W-we're good for now, r-right?" she asked one of the members helping with organizing and cleaning up the roses before sitting down beside Eli, who seemed not to be making any effort in hiding his annoyance. "So? Did you give in to his request?"

*Thank you!

Eli barely had time to look up at Hina as he sorted through everything he needed to do for today to make sure he had everything right. If someone had told him how much more work this would be on top of everything else he had going on he might have told Hina to buzz off, but he loved his sister, and he was going to try to help her however he could. One thing he did know however was that he absolutely was never doing this again. And he wouldn't have to because Hina was leaving this year. Well, graduating but same thing. "Define give in," he replied to her in English because he was too annoyed with the Gryffindor to let it taint his favourite language. "If you mean did I graciously out of the kindness of my heart agree to send his boyfriend six pink roses? In a bouquet?" He sighed. "Yes." He shook his head and leaned his face against the table. "If one more person asks me to make an exception I'm genuinely concerned I might slap someone." He frowned as he looked around at everything they were doing. "I should have joined the chess club." At least then he wouldn't have had to deal with this. They didn't have a chess club that he was aware of but damn it he could have made one. "And we're good on roses for now, might have to double check after the initial rush."

Ten was nervous about the upcoming rose delivery. Not because of the event itself but because she knew she needed to do something today that could potentially change the course of her remaining time at the school. She was happy to help out with the preparation of roses, trimming the thorns off a number of roses that were still a danger to the younger students that would likely stick it where it ought not belong, the task being second nature to her now with how often she helped out in the greenhouses. As she sat at the table however, she was quiet and by herself. It was usually the case when she was at the Wild Patch events, given there were very few students she interacted with in the first place and even less than attended the event. She also found it to be the time when she could zone out, so here she was, doing what she could, quietly sat at the edge of the group as she wondered how to phrase her question for later in the day.

Morrie was furious she’d been roped into delivering roses. She hadn’t even signed up and someone was clearly having a laugh. I mean she’d do it. But only on her terms. She grabbed the basket and read over the list of names with a frown. “Well, this one’s for you anyway,” she said, shoving a rose back at Hinata without any regard for any conversation she was already having. What a waste of time giving her the rose in the first place! Then she read the creepy librarian's name and she scoffed, “There is no way I’m delivering that one,” she pulled Tiziano Edogawa’s rose from the basket and launched it over her shoulder. “Or hers. she added, tossing out Rose Edogawa’s rose too but a little less aggressively. She didn't know Rose, but the last name was enough to put Morrie off. As for the rest of the names, only one name stood out as worth her time, but she didn’t toss the others. Instead, she adjusted her grip on the basket with the remaining roses and stomped off.

OOCOut of Character:
Approved to toss these roses

One moment Hinata was talking to Eli and checking with everyone, the next a rose was being shoved at her by the volunteer they had just handed a basket to. “O-oh! A-arigatou! No note?” she said as she smiled at the red rose that had just been handed to her. And then things basically just broke down because the student had just started throwing roses around! “Oi!” her voice raised in surprise. Maneuvering to get around the table quickly to gather the tossed roses and their notes, Hina didn’t really have time to stop the rather violent girl. Hina could feel people staring at the commotion that just happened which made her all red and bow at everyone in apology, tears brimming a little in embarrasment, “S-sorry about that everyone,” before clutching the two roses—one for Tiziano-oniisama and the other for Rose. The tears didn’t fall though, there was still a long day ahead. She was sure they had extra roses, she’d just have to replace them with ones that haven’t been tossed carelessly. “I’ll deliver these later,” she told Eli as she swallowed and went back to her seat.

Eli frowned at Morrie when she practically disregarded both him and his sister. He might not have known Morrie personally, but clearly her reputation proceeded her. He could definitely see why his cousin didn't like her. Any of them, really. "Get off your bloody high horse, Morrie. Everyone else is delivering their roses, you don't need to kick up such a fuss." Was it just them? Was the universe so against them organising the roses that this was the result? He rolled his eyes. "Yes, it has a note," he said, rifling in the papers and handing it to his sister. "It's from Bailey." He knew, because Bailey had done it through him.
I wish I had something clever or cute to say but I don't. I didn't expect our friendship to take this turn, but I love being with. Happy Valentines day

Bailey

Oh... That was Morrie Ayre. Her lips pursed as she stared at the girl retreating, before shaking her head. There was still a lot of stuff to be done for her to worry about that nasty girl. Maybe she'll tell Mikael about what happened, though he'll probably hear about it through the grapevine too. Her attention drifted back to Eli when Eli told her about the note, and that it was from Bailey. The red rose was from Bailey! Her face exploded into a fierce blush, and she reached out and grabbed the note so fast before turning around to hide her face from her brother while she read her note. Her heart was beating way too fast as she read the note, blush spreading down her neck and all the way up to her ears. She probably should have read it later because now she can't control how she was grinning or smiling and blushing and oh Merlin this was so embarrassing but now she'd at least forgotten for the moment the whole debacle with Morrie.

Naveen always appreciated when the Wild Patch could be helpful in practical ways. Besides pumpkins for the Halloween feast, the roses for Valentine's day were their biggest task. He had no desire to deliver any of the messages his fellow students scribbled down, especially not after last year. At this point he was convinced romance was a mistake and only led to awkward discomfort. So he was content this time around to hide behind the Wild Patch table and get to work. He heard a commotion but it was over before he could even tell what it was about, instead he turned to the quiet older girl who was also preparing the roses "Do you need me to bring over more yellow roses? I think those tend to be the most popular." he asked with his dragon hide gloves on, ready to grab more of what was needed. @Amortentia Layton

Rose was totally ready to help out. She wasn't a big fan of getting her hands dirty, but she wasn't as bad on that front as Eurydice had been in recent years either. She happily sat not too close to her siblings, but close enough that she could help out if she needed to. After all, this was one of those things she was doing both to support Hina, but also just to spend more time with her, as most of her siblings were in this particular club. She glared at Morrie when she came and basically tried to ruin whatever else was going on, she was so annoying and she'd heard about what she was like. She'd never really seen it before though since she didn't spend a lot of time on the ground. "I'm gonna go for a flight. I'll catch you later," she said, as she headed out of the hall.

Ten was doing her best to ignore the commotion. Morrie as usual was throwing a hissy fit and frankly if she didnt want to be here, Ten didnt understand why she didnt just leave. The roses she was now throwing around the room were a waste, and if Morrie had been a Gryffindor, prehaps the prefect would have stepped in. As it happened, Ten was just keeping to herself, working her way through the task at hand and blanking out the attention seeker. She glanced up from her work when she heard a voice, realising one of the younger boys was asking her a question. "Yellow? Oh right, yeah, please," Ten didnt know whether he was genuinely trying to just be helpful or if he was also looking for a distraction from Morrie, so if he wanted to join her then she wasn't going to say no. "Are you delivering this year, or just helping with the prep?" She asked him, incase he needed reason to stay.
