Welcome

Cyndi smiled at Estrella when she came to Cyndi's side. "How are your other classes?" she asked her friend, whom she hadn't gotten a chance to see outside of class. She listened to her reply and continued to drink some pumpkin juice.

A short while later, Jaken entered and soon was by Estrella's side. Cyndi was surprised he had been able to get to where they were so fast considering the amount of students in the tower. "Hi Jaken. How was your summer?" she asked her fellow sixth year.

Andromeda turned as a now familiar face went to hug the boy beside Bruin, seeing them together slid an odd image into her head. The girl was Lily, a Ravenclaw prefect someone Andromeda had never really gotten to know but the image in her head would not leave and suddenly she knew exactly who the boy was. He had dumped the water balloon on her the year before and she had caught him rolling about the kitchen floor destroyed in food with this girl. Andromeda's face was a picture of increduality. Lily had now put her arms about another boy, so obviously her boyfriend. It wasn't in Andromeda's nature to stir up anything or to make trouble for anyone but the fact that so many cases of revenge in her life went unchecked left a very sour taste all of a sudden in her mouth. She put the cup that she had been holding down and walked over to the boy, Kale. At least that's what the Ravenclaw prefect had called him. She picked up a pitcher of butterbeer and smiled sweetly at him.
"Don't know if you remember me but I sure as hell remember you" her hand raised with the pitcher, she was tall enough to get it over him in one swoop. She didn't think he would be fast enough to stop her though.

Kat saw that Andy had joined them as well, though her friend seemed to be shying away from the crowd. She looked around at how well everyone was getting on with each other and it made her downright giddy. Just then out of the corner of her eye she saw Andy pick up a pitcher of butterbeer and walk over to Kale. Kat went wide-eyed, surely Andy wouldn't pour that on him...or would she? Instead of intervening as she probably should have, she stood and watched...wondering how this would play out.

Jaken greeted Cyndi as she spoke to him, "Hey Cyndi." He bit his lip at the mention of his summer. Let's see, he discovered his pureblooded uncle and grandfather, who seems to despise his existance. His mother went off to Germany, along with Vasilka. He finally answered with a smile, "It was quite interesting." Jaken then added, "I hope yours went well."

Jaken's attention flashed back over to Kale, about to be drenched with butterbeer. Jaken wrinkled his nose slightly, the thought of being covered in butterbeer. Although, if that girl really did, he would laugh, despite of what Estrella would say or do. He found humor in little things, nowadays. He watched, curious.

Zoe grinned as Chace caught onto her nickname before anyone else had said it. "Ye-err, no. I'm a fifth year this year," she said and laughed at herself from the mistake she made, having nearly forgotten that the new year had begun. She then turned to Rhyspa, grinning responding, "Hey Rhyspa, how was your break?" But right after that, her attention was directed to a younger girl, who was carrying a beverage in her hand, and Zoe watched a little shocked as she dumped her drink on Kale's head. Zoe hadn't even noticed Kale entered, with the surge of all the boys coming in, and she was sort of interested as to what would happen next.

"Mine was good too" Cyndi told to Jaken. As she opened her mouth to ask about his OWLs, Cyndi was stopped by an unusual sight. Andy had walked right up to Kale, a boy she really only knew by name and sight, and was about to pour butterbeer over his head. She didn't know what would cause Andy to do that but figured that he must have done something really wrong to her. She cringed and waited for what would come next.

(HEY GUYS! Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I've been busy and didn't even know that you were waiting for Kale's response!)

Kale continued to greet the familiar faces with warm smiles, friendly tackles and hugs all around. He laughed at Bruin as they exchanged a 'brotherly embrace'. "Never let go!" he exclaimed comically, before dramatically breaking the hug. Before he knew it he was tackled from the opposite side, by none other than Lily Potter, he laughed, staggering and trying to hold his lanky self up. "'Ello Potter!" said Kale, giving her a dorky grin and laughing. "I missed you guys too. I'm happy to be back. Class sucked without me, eh?" he winked. "It'll be cool to have my roomie back. Wait, is there still room for me in that dorm?" inquired Kale, patting Blake on the back. He had been a good friend to him the previous year and he was hoping to get to know him even better now.

Kale looked over at the transfer students and couldn't help but think that they looked familiar from the common room. He wasn't very observant while in the dungeons. So they're the new transfers... he thought to himself before introducing himself. "Hey, welcome to Hogwarts New Zealand. My name is K--" Suddenly he heard hasty footsteps stomping his direction, he turned around in mid sentence only to see an angry red head looking up at him. It wasn't the 'Zoe-Hope Weasley' red, but why did she look so damn familiar? Kale tried to think back to why he recognized her. He didn't even recognize her from the day he decided to drop water balloons out of the second story window in the corridor. But, the hair was hard to miss.

Why the hell was she smiling like that?! His eyebrows pushed together at the center of his forehead as she spoke, "Don't know if you remember me but I sure as hell remember you" the furious red haired girl announced, standing on her tip toes to raise a pitcher of butter beer over the Slytherin boys head. Sure, Kale was about a head taller than the girl, but Merlin was obviously on her side as she managed to get the full pitcher of his favorite beverage high enough. It all happened so fast and before he could say a thing -- SPLASH -- The contents of the pitcher was now rolling down Kale's face and soaking his shirt. His brown eyes widened to chocolate pools, a spiteful look creased the features on his face. You...little-- he stopped himself, not wanting to cause anymore drama that this girl had already started. "What the hell was that for?!" Kale shouted at the younger girl, completely oblivious to why he was now soaked.

Now, Kale had two options, he could retaliate...one, by grabbing the other full pitcher on the side table and throwing it on her...two, he could just let this slide. He was going to think before his actions, for once. Wasting perfectly good butterbeer was a sin in his and any other member of the brotherhood's book. It was an unwritten law to never waste a single drop of that precious beverage. Well, right now...it'd be going to good use on the girls blouse, but he decided against it. He stood there close to growling at the shorter girl, waiting for her to say something. Drawing attention to himself wasn't something that Kale wanted when he was dripping wet, but sometimes it was just avoidable.

(That was long and rambly, sorry. I'm falling alseep over here...o.o)

Andromeda watched as the full pitcher poured out over the boys head, he became drenched in the stuff. She knew she should be smiling but revenge didn't seem quite so sweet after all, perhaps she just didn't have it in her to be vicious. Practical jokes were one thing but deliberately drenching the boy infront of all their peers, a whopping amount of prefects and the head boy and girl was not something she had planned to do. She eyed him wearily to see if he would retaliate but instead he stood almost disbelieving wanting to know what he had done to deserve the soaking. Andromeda's amber eyes flared with stubborn anger, of course he wouldn't remember he probably played pranks all the time on unsuspecting students. She slammed the jug down onto the table before turning to him with a finger raised close to his chest.

"We are even now Kale Thomas" now that she knew his name, she wasn't likely to forget it in a rush, "You drenched me last year and I got you well and good this year".
She badly wanted to say something smart and sarcastically witty but couldn't think off the cuff of anything else to say, until her mouth just worked away by itself. Andromeda usually took care of what she said but this time, her mouth seemed to have a will of its own. He looked as daft as he did the night himself and Lily had food all over themselves on the ground, it was that image that goaded her now.
"At least the drenched beer look suits you better than rolling around on the kitchen floor with food and Lily matted to you" she sneered turning around abruptly to leave the party, it was only then what she said hit her as she looked into the face of Lily standing there with her arms around her boyfriend. The only thought that fleeted through her head was 'ooops'. The damage was done now, perhaps they hadn't been dating last year so it wouldn't matter. Andromeda shrugged it off, what did any of it matter to her anyhow.

Rhyspa was just about to reply to Zoe, when she watched Andy walk up to Kale, a butterbeer pitcher in hand. She watched the events unfold before her, Kale was soon drenched in butterbeer, and the explanation soon was told. Rhyspa was shocked by Andromeda's actions, she had never expected it from the girl, she was too sweet. She listened as Andy explained her actions to Kale, and then something about him and Lily. Rhyspa's eyebrows raised in shock and questioning. She didn't think Lily would do anything with Kale; from what Rhyspa knew, Lily was in a relationship with Blake, and that was going strong.

Rhyspa really didn't want to be around when the repercussions of Andy's actions would take place. She just stood there, waiting for someone to say something. She wondered what Lily would say, or Blake or Kale for that matter. This was going to be interesting.

Bruin was thoroughly confused, one minute he was standing there exchanging a friendly greeting with perhaps his best friend in the entire world and the next he was avoiding the overspray of golden nectar that had been rained down upon him by a housemate whom he considered to be one of the sweetest and friendliest people he had ever met. None of it made any sense and he had no idea how to respond...

Without thinking, Bruin withdrew his wand and began testing out the Drought Charm that Professor Lloyd had just taught them. The Charms professor had indicated that it was good for cleaning up spills and Bruin found that it was reasonably effective at removing butterbeer from clothing as the back of Kale's shirt appeared to be drying out as the rest of the scene unfolded in front of him.

Zoe had to hold herself from exploding in a fit of laughter, and calmed herself down. By the looks at Kale's reaction, she didn't want to further anger him by laughing. Her eyes widened a little as the girl mentioned something about him and Lily 'matted' to each other in the kitchens. Lily wouldn't do that to Blake...What is this girl saying? Zoe thought to herself, then watched as Bruin cast a spell on Kale, which dehydrated his clothes and hair from the butterbeer.

Estrella had been taking a rather low profile for this particular party, not feeling any inclination to be high strung or overly warm. She figured that she would run into the new transfers eventually- she wasn't exactly keen to converse with the overswelling population of younger students in the school. The Ravenclaw girl greeted Jaken accordingly, but didn't really want to make a show of it. She took a spot by the table and munched at the chips that sat in a bowl. A glass of butterbeer in hand, she sipped at it quietly as she watched the party unfold before her. Considering her group of friends everyone was pretty low key.

Her thoughts being proven wrong at that very instant, she watched as a hot-headed Andromeda poured a pitcher of butterbeer over Kale's head. It took her a lot to surpress a bout of laughter, but she knew that she was partially responsible for Andy's anger at her ex. It was Estrella that had thrown the water balloon to hit Andy, not Kale, although he had mercifully covered up for her. She listened to the exchange of words, and her attention soon turned away from butterbeer soaked fifth years and angry redheads. She recollected Andromeda's comments with disbelief. Surely, it was a misunderstanding? She didn't think Lily would do anything ever to hurt Blake. She frowned a bit as she waited for someone to say something, anything.

Lily was in shock as the younger girl dumped a pitcher of Butterbeer over Kale's head. She started to giggle, then stopped in shock as Andy threw out that the last time she saw him was when he was rolling around on the kitchen floor with Lily. "Are you kidding? You really have no idea just what you are talking about." She looked at Blake, hoping he remembered her telling him about this. "I can't help it if the food fight got a bit out of control and we slipped and fell. He is the one that dropped the bologna on the floor." She wondered what her friends would think, but knowing her relationship with each of them, she figured that her reputation would not be too damaged by the incident.

Andromeda couldn't care less anymore, she was now in foul mood and it seemed to be only getting worse. She knew the moons phases had a lot to do with this but didn't even want to think about that either. Only a very small handful of the students here knew her temper and person was effected by the moon at all and she wanted it to stay that way. She raised her outstretched hand in true muggle fashion infront of her own face.
"Whatever!" she shook her head in such a careless manner, "A food fight that ends up with a boy and girl wrapped up with one another on the floor, hmmm tell it to someone who gives a damn!"
She didn't want to make this girl an enemy but she'd be damned if she was going to be called out as a liar either, maybe what Lily said was the truth but right now Andromeda really didn't care. Her head ached, her leg throbbed and if she had another pitcher of anything she would gladly dump it all over Kales head once again.
She cast a glance in Kats direction, an apologetic look on her face before turning to head out of the tower.

Kat just stood there wide-eyed and her mouth agape. So apparently Andy really did have it in her to pour the butterbeer all over Kale. And then her friend made a comment about Lily and Kale. Kat whipped her head around sharply to give her best friend a 'what the frick' look, but that was small beans at the moment and that she'd talk to Lily about it later. Everyone else seemed to look as shocked as Kat was judging by the expression on each persons face.

Andy was acting extremely out of character and Kat wasn't quite sure why her friend was acting so moody. When Andy turned and left the North Tower Kat was faced with a dilemma. Should she be rude and head after Andy or should she just stay here and ignore the recent happenings. She decided to go after Andy, and see just what had gotten into her to make her act so brazenly. With a little bit of nervous laughter she said to the group, "Urm, I'll be right back." She flashed a pleading look to her friends to keep the new students as comfortable as possible in this now extremely uncomfortable situation. With that she turned and headed down after Andy, hoping to catch up with her and find out just exactly what was going on with her.

Jaken cocked an eyebrow at the situation. He did not even laugh when Kale had butterbeer spilled on him. Jaken felt lost and confused in this whole ordeal. He was not here or around when the events occurred when whatever happened between a Ravenclaw named Lily and Kale. Jaken felt rather sorry for them. He had no side to choose from, and he would remain neutral. He hoped that everything wouldn't turn into a fight, just as he arrived. That was the last thing he needed.

Jaken bit it lip. Did Blake, his dorm mate, have a clue on what the red-head was walking about? Jaken turned to Estrella, an shrugged, saying 'I have absolutely no idea.' Without much interest, he stayed silent. He wasn't about to step in on this.

"Nice to meet you Bruin." Ashton replied when all of a sudden another boy came and nearly knocked Bruin over. He looked oddly at the boy thinking that he looked familiar and realized it was Kale, but before he had a chance to say anything his old friend was being saturated with a pitcher of butterbeer from some red-haired girl. Not really sure what to say or do Ashton just stood there awkwardly, watching as first the red headed girl left and then Katalina. Wanting to try and break the silence he said, "You guys sure know how to throw a party here in New Zealand!" He shook his head at how ridiculous it sounded, but it had to be better than the 'crickets in the background' noise that they had at the moment.

((Completely forgot about this topic sorry :) ))

Mike watched as Kale, another member of the brotherhood of magic tackled Bruin. Mike then watched as Andy poured butterbeer over Kale. Mike opened his mouth flabbergasted. Tis not at all like AndyMike said to himself. Mike saw another boy, whom he had not seen before. Mike decided it'd be best to introduce himself. "Hey there, i take it you're Ashton?" Mike said extending his hand. "Mike Goulding, Gryffindor 3rd Year" he added.

Chace smiled broadly at Rhyspa. "I'm a fourth year," he stated, and then turned his attention to Zoe. There were so many people introducing themselves at once that he could barely keep track of them, attempting in vain to remember all of their names. He turned elsewhere, however, as a commotion on the other side of the room broke out. He was elated by the idea that so many different personalities of different houses were getting along so well. The Slytherin boy had thought too soon, however, as he watched the Gryffindor girl dump a whole pitcher of butterbeer on an older Slytherin boy's head. A slight frown marked his face. He had next to no idea what in the world had transpired between them, but he assumed that it wasn't good. He shifted nervously, not entirely sure what to say. He noticed that Kat had fled the scene after the other girl.
