Wandering Aimlessly

"Sounds intersting," Harri said nodding in agreement, "Is it weird like telling your own future?" she asked, not sure whether she would like it or not.

"Your future, other people's futures. You mostly use orscles like Tarot Cards, tea leaves, crystal balls, horoscopes...Things like that." Asher explained.

"Wow! That sounds great!" Harri said "Is it difficult?" she asked thinking it wouldn't exactly be easy to be able to read the future. "And how do tea leaves help?" she asked laughing a little.

"For some it is and for others it isn't. There are some people who have the natural ability to make predictions. They're called Seers. For all I know of my family there may be a Seer somewhere...but they're very rare. As far as tea leaves, when they collect on the bottom of your tea cup it is believed that you can make predictions based on the shapes they make." Asher loved talking about Divination...it was one of her favorites.

Harri listened enthusiastically glad Asher was telling her so much about it "Woah! Sounds pretty amazing. Wow, do you think you might be a seer?" she asked wide eyed, though she still couldn't get her head around the tea leaves businness.

"No, I don't think I am...I wish...but there's always a chance I guess." Asher began to think how great it would be to bea able to be a Seer.

Harri nodded "Is it possible to be lilke part seer?" she asked, wondering whether this was a stupid question or not.

"I'm not completely sure...I don't know much about magic...well not as much as other people in my year. Most of them have been around magic their whole lives. Now i'm interested, I should find out more about Seers." Asher's eyes danced at the thought of doing research.

Harri nodded "Yeah you should!" she siad "And you'll have to tell me what you find out!" she added. "So I'm guessing its your favorite subject?" she asked laughing.

[Sorry I was on HS :p ]

Nina had stayed rather silent on the whole subject but was listening for the whole thing then said, "Asher, that is so cool, have you asked Abbey, I mean from what you told me she seems to know a whole lot about your family."

"Oh, I should ask her! She does know much more than I do..." Asher muttered. "Thanks Nina!"

"Yes, she's my little sister. I had just met her before I came here...I miss her so much...." Asher's voice dropped as she spoke.

Nina smiled brightly and said, "No problem Asher." Then Harri asked her who Abbey was and Nina just nodded as Asher answered then noticed Asher's voice fall a little Nina put her arm on Asher's shoulder to let her know she was there, and that the holidays were coming up quickly and could probably go down to see her.

Harri smiled "Well you'll get to see her soon! I'm sure she'll want to know all about whats happened at Hogwarts NZ so far!" she said, noticing Nina putting her arm around Asher and wondering whether she had bought up a touchy subject.

Asher smiled at Nina then Harri. "You're right! She really wants to see everone again!"

Harri smiled glad Asher seemed a bit happier "How much younger then you is she?" she asked.

"Three years. We were seperated when our parents died." Asher said.

"Oh I'm sorry to hear about your parents," Harri said symphatically, "Do you get on with her?" she asked.

Asher beamed. "Yes...its strange how alike we are considering we were never with each other growing up."

Harri smiled "Thats good, so when did you meet her?" she asked then thought it was a bit of a personal question "Sorry if I'm being too nosey just tell me," she quickly added.

"No, its fine. I actually met her on the first day at Hogwarts...we almost got into a fight." Asher giggled.

Harri laughed "Really? Did you know you were sisters straight away?" she asked intriggued.

"Not at all...we had the same eyes and it caught me off guard." Asher grinned.

Harri laughed "Seriously? You nearly got in a fight because she had the same eyes as you?"
