Closed Walks Together

Abby blushed when Graeme turned her face to his, almost pulling away out of shyness. But something about the look in his eyes made her stay, and the feeling of his thumb on her cheek wiping at the tears was very nice. She sighed softly, biting her lip gently and listening to what he said. She let out a shaky sigh as he finished, looking down towards the boys. "I'm not sure who I even am anymore," she spoke softly. She sighed again, and shook her head.

Abby did something then she hadn't done in a long time. She crawled into Graeme's lap, her hands clutching lightly at the sides of his shirts, and buried her face in his neck. "This is all just moving so fast," She told him gently. "It scares me a little," She admitted quietly.

Graeme put his arm back around her and held her close, he knew that he was more sure of himself than she was, that he felt more certain in his personhood because of his family, because of the people around him. They enabled him to do so. He let his arms moved around her and nodded. "That's okay," he reassured, and he knew it was, it was fine for her to have doubts to be a little worried, so see it moving fast and being unsure. "We're taking this day by day," he said, "Or date by date," he then corrected. They weren't moving too fast, but perhaps fast enough to give her a little pause, but it would be fine, they would be fine.

Abby hesitated a moment, before sighing and leaning in. She rested her nose in the crook of Graemes' neck, letting herself relax against him. "Date by date," she repeated gently, letting out a soft sigh and shutting her eyes. This felt... really nice. She liked it when he held her. She was quiet for a bit, just enjoying the warmth of Graeme's arms around her and the sound of the boys laughing down the hill. Whatever this was... she really hoped it would last.
