TriWizard Task #2

A new task has been opened! It seems, however, that things have gone more than slightly awry! Check out the newest plot here.
Just some notes on the plot/events thus far:[ul][li]Alicia saw a cloaked figure in the stands and passed by them, believing them to be press.</LI>
[li]Before the Tournament began Alicia was kidnapped by the cloaked Wizard, who left some parting words before he disappeared.
[li]Chaos ensued in the crowd
[li]The Minister for Magic, Gellert Coote, ordered calm and that students return to the castle, which was for the most part ignored.
[li]Nicolas King told Prefects to ensure their houses got to their common rooms and that Professors meet in the staff room, then he was told to report to the Minister
[li]The Minister has sent for Aurors to arrive and intends for things to be business as usual.
[li]A group of students have returned, by portkey to the castle and are currently on the lawn.[/li][/ul]

For those of you role playing this out, here are some general guidelines for you after having thought about it (please note these are all in character effects/goals of the plot).:[ul][li]Though the volcano is active, it will not violently erupt, and if it were to, it would be RPed by an Admin.
[li]All students should be returning to the castle with fair haste.
[li]Once in the castle grounds they should be ushered to their houses quickly by prefects.
[li]Prefects will ensure all house members are in present, opening threads in each common room where students are may be appropriate.
[li]A thread will be opened, ideally, for professors to meet briefly and discuss things
[li]Head of Houses should make an appearance in the house threads that open to calm students and the rest of the things that go on with that idea.
[li]There may be a meeting for prefects instructing them of how things are going to work while Hogwarts transitions
<LI>[li]The Ministry's main focus will be finding Alicia, though this may not be entirely known to the public.[/li][/ul]

Mayhem at Second Triwizard Task
Headmistress Missing​

Yesterday’s Triwizard Task at Mount Ngauruhoe gave spectators more than they bargained for when Hogwarts New Zealand’s Headmistress was kidnapped.
Alicia Ann Barker, HNZ’s long celebrated Headmistress, disappeared from the stands at the beginning of the second Triwizard Task. Eyewitnesses report that a cloaked figure grabbed Barker and disapparated her away from the location.
At this time, the kidnapper has not been identified nor is Barker’s location known. The Ministry and the Daily Prophet ask anyone with details to please come forward on this urgent issue.
Minister of Magic Gellert Coote was not available for questioning.
The Triwizard Tournament, with it’s second task set to begin at Mount Ngauruhoe has since been cancelled. Coming to a draw, none of the champions representing their schools in this competition will be bringing the glory of a win home.
While the cancellation is a great disappointment for the Wizarding community it has come to a close for the safety of the students and all of those involved. Immediately after the kidnapping students were ordered back to the school by Portkey.
Nicolas King, resident auror and Deputy Headmaster of HNZ said that the school will not be closing in light of these events but will resume a more tightly secure routine. Parents and instructors alike have been notified, and reserve the option to pull their students out of school. This motion is not recommended however.
King and Deputy Headmistress Cecily Rambolt have been given control of the school’s proceedings in Barker’s absence.
Hogwarts Scotland students residing at HNZ will finish out their term in New Zealand. Durmstrang has yet to put forth a decision as whether they will resume residence at the school or not in light of the Tournament’s end.
The Ministry has taken the appropriate measures to recovering Barker and ask that anyone with information please come forward.
