[Professor Leif Odegard]

Lesson Five: Outline and Review

With the semester moving by as quickly as it did Leif knew it was important for his students to keep up with their work. He was sure there would be disappointed reactions when he told them how they would be spending their lesson today but he knew it was important. Necessary. And even if they couldn't see that yet he hoped they might just realize it later. "Welcome back. Today we'll be doing something a little different. No lecture. No new spells. We'll be reviewing the material covered so far." He told them, looking around and raising his hand at a few disgruntled reactions. "I know, I know, it's not fun but I promise you'll be better off for it." Leif added with an encouraging smile. "I'd like an outline turned in by next week. This outline should cover what you have learned, pretty much braking down what could be on your exam in two weeks." He continued, leaning against his desk and reaching for his wand. He gave something in the back of his classroom a quick wave and in an instant a box of sweets flew his way. "Right, if you like you're welcome to head off to the library or any other place you feel you can work the best." Leif winked, knowing far not every student who chose to head to the library actually went there. "Feel free to grab a bag of sweets too, but otherwise let's get to it. I'm here should you have any questions."

 

[Veronica Walden-Cade]

Veronica couldn’t believe how quickly the semester was going, she made her way into Professor Odegard’s classroom and listened to him talk about having a review for their latest lesson rather than learning something new. Veronica was glad that they would have some time to go over the things they had learned during the semester, she felt like she had learned a lot up to that point and needed time to digest it before she sat her exams. Once Professor Odegard gave them permission to go off to the library to study Veronica grabbed her bag and left the classroom to do just that.

 

[Teddy Pirrip]

Exams were just around the corner and Teddy sat in Transfigurations thinking about how he had already done the outline Professor Odegard was describing as part of his revision for the exams. He grabbed a bag of sweets before he left the classroom feeling smug and organised, and headed back to the common room to relax instead.

 

[Lucy Montague]

Lucy found it curious they were doing revision in week five, but transfiguration did need more preparation after all. She'd done most of what the professor suggested, though only a skeleton outline and she hadn't filled in the details quite yet. Therefore, she got onto doing that, taking a bag of sweets and heading off to the library. She ate them while she studied, putting together a fleshed out version of an outline that she felt would help with her upcoming transfiguration exam.

 

[Dominic Owens-Lee]

Dominic was sad that the semester was coming to an end soon, but he still had a couple of more weeks to go before the exams, so he was simply going to make the most of his time. He thought about asking his friends to do study sessions with him, but wasn’t sure if that would be too much so soon. It wasn’t like they were doing their OWLs just yet, so perhaps it was a little unnecessary. He also was admittedly a little shy at the idea of asking for help. With a sigh, the Hufflepuff just packed his belongings into his backpack and headed to his classes.

Dominic entered the Transfiguration class, wondering what the professor was going to get them to do that lesson. As he took his seat, he was surprised to hear that they would just be going over old material and writing an outline on what was learnt that semester. It made things easier and also the boy was admittedly a little less stressed at the idea of not learning a completely new spell after everything they had learnt so far. Dominic started writing an outline of what had been learnt until the end of the lesson, and then he planned on finishing it off that night.

 

[Audrey Beauchamp]

Audrey was keen to do more switching spells, as she was really getting the hang of them, but apparently it was merely a revision lesson for Transfiguration today. She could practice in her spare time, she supposed, as she took some sweets with a grateful 'thank you' and a big smile to Professor Odegard. She decided to work on an outline, even as her fingers itched to be holding her wand instead of her quill, and felt pretty confident in the theory side of things by the time the lesson was over.
