Lennox had just sat through all the Quidditch Try Outs. She wasn't impressed by anyone to be honest, but she had chosen who she believed would be the best. Now there was just one more task to do, a task that Lennox certainly did not want to complete. She needed to ask for help. This was not something that Lennox took lightly. She had just let the team go and instead of losing her own position, she had decided to take on a co-captain, take a huge blow to her own ego.

The choices had been limited. Honestly, Lennox had not wanted anyone in particular. She had gone through her options. A few stood out but Lennox didn't want someone too good. She didn't want anyone to overshadow her, even though she doubted that could ever happen. She went with the best safe choice another fellow Slytherin.

As everyone began to leave the field, Lennox called to Horror. "Hey Horror, can you wait up a minute?" she asked. She would certainly have to shallow her pride on this one, but also hopefully spin it in the way that Lennox was doing something nice and promoting the boy instead of needing some help from someone else on the team.

@Horror Zhefarovich

Horror Zhefarovich finished his practice at the try outs, and started to head out to the dorm. He had his broom over his shoulder, and heard his name. He glanced back to see that it was the captain. Horror looked up at the sky to think if he had done something wrong, but no, he had done well enough. Horror knew that for a fact. He breathed out slowly, and approached Lennox Addison. His face remained blank, though the stare was cold - typical behavior from someone like Horror. He did not show emotions very well. He was controlled. "What is it, Addison?" Horror asked, using her last name versus her first. It wasn't like he was on a first name basis with her, but she may have had to use his because both twins were on the same team. Considering what happened last year, he briefly wondered if she wanted some sort of advice or whatever.

He would be the last person to want to give anything like that.

Lennox felt like Horror took forever to respond. Maybe it was all in her head, the nerves from knowing what she would have to do next, ask for help. Even the thought made Lennox feel sick to her stomach. But this needed to be done. She crossed her arms out of habit and maybe slight impatience as she waited for Horror to approach her. She didn't particular care that he used her last name in response. The Addison name was certainly one to be proud of.

"So I'm just going to get this over with" she said letting out a breath to compose herself. She stared at the boy, slight daggers in her eyes as if it was partially his fault for this whole situation. "I feel like you have done well enough on the team." Make it seem like you are doing him a favor she reminded herself as the words continued to come out of her mouth. "And I am just so busy with other important things, I thought it might be a good idea to have you step up and become co-captain this year." Lennox finished. The words felt like iron, leaving her mouth with a metallic taste. The phrasing wasn't perfect, but Lennox felt confident enough that Horror would not turn down her offer.

Horror could tell that her stare was hostile. People demonstrated how they felt from their eyes frequently. He had blocked it all because that was the type of person he was. She seemed to be very direct, and then practically wanted him to be co-captain with her. He knew for certain that Terror wanted this more than anything. Terror was the one that loved Quidditch. Horror only tried out and remained on the team for all the wrong reasons. And now, the captain was approaching him, and wanting him to step up? How could he deny this opportunity to rub it in Terror's face? "Is that so?" Horror started, delaying in how to word this. "I would be honored to assist you, and I accept your offer." Horror could not wait until he could rub it in Terror's face.

Lennox felt like every second that passed was a life time. What would she even do if Horror turned down her generous offer. He always has a brother or something. the thought crossed her mind. Lennox didn't care who was co-captain as long as they did not outshine her and of course they took on some of the workload that she did not want to complete. She was going to be the main captain after all. Or at least that was what she told herself to reassure herself that this was the right decision.

Finally, Horror responded. Lennox waited until the boy was done, expecting a little more enthusiasm or at least gratitude. At least he did say it was an honor. Lennox nodded her head once as if accepting the decision. Now, Lennox's turn to play this word game, making it seem like she wasn't actually a little thankful for this help. "Great" she said, not quite reflecting the meaning of the word in her tone. "We will have to stay in touch so expect owls here and there. Probably before games and practices" Lennox explained, getting all the basics out in there. "Do you have any questions?" Lennox asked not expecting him to, but she knew some people could be dense and the Slytherin team's reputation was one the line with another member representing the leadership role alongside her.

The captain really needed to learn how to hide her emotions with her eyes and voice. Horror thought that she was just far too easy to read. But he was going to get something out of it, and he would be stupid to deny something like this. He nodded along with how they would have to keep in touch, with owls. He didn't like the animal that much, but they seemed to like him for some odd reason. "Of course not." Horror did not tell a lie as he did not have any questions worth asking. He give her a nod of acknowledgement, and turned to head back to the Slytherin house to put his broom away. After try outs, he was eager to get back into his normal clothing.
