The Stands

Norton was sure that this girl was probably a lot better than she was letting on that she was, but he saw no reason to disagree, and there was no time either, since after a failed attempt at goal, the Hufflepuff seeker appeared to have done his job. Nortie jumped up and down, yelling and cheering happily, he couldn't believe that they had won, he had never really been on this side expect to support Gilly, but this was different, this was like having an entire crowd with you. He cheered loudly, smiling and feeling like he could conquer the world with the sheer euphoria that he was getting from the crowd. Norton turned to April, "That was incredible! We should hang out more, even just if they're games!" He didn't know her well, but she seemed lovely, so who was he to just never try to spend time with her again.

It was just typical really of all that went with Minerva, typical that she would turn and begin moving away from a bird's eye view of Hufflepuff catching the snitch and bringing their team to victory! She had just made it to the top of the stairs when the entire stand seemed to go crazy, loudly cheering and clapping. The noise startled her and she almost lost her balance. Gripping the rail instantly she held on and turned around to see what the commotion was about but she was far too short to see over the bodies that now blocked her way.

The noise was deafening and she could barely her anything else about it's rapture so she turned and moved on down the stairs. Hufflepuff she had concluded must have scored a powerful quaffle throw, why else would they be all standing ... the snitch! Minerva glanced upwards again and realised that must be it, the seeker had caught the snitch.

This was confirmed when she reached the bottom of the stands and saw others from different houses moving away as well, at least she wasn't the only one. They must have torn down the other stairwells though to get away, she hadn't been that hasty as she'd been trying to hold on for dear life as it seemed far steeper coming down than going upwards. She debated heading back to the school and the common room but figured that others from the house would be back there, so Minerva wandered over towards the greenhouses preferring the peace and quiet for a while as her ears continued to ring from the noise.

It was time for game 2 of Quidditch, and Anthony was glad that he didn't have to play in this one. His friend Merrill was playing for Gryffindor and he had come down to watch her play. Quidditch was quickly becoming Anthony's favourite pastime at the school and he had prepared a sign to show that he had complete faith in his friend. He held above his head a sign with a Gryffindor lion, a crude drawing of the goalposts, and the words 'YOU SHALL NOT PASS'. He knew his friend could stop those pesky Slytherins from scoring.

Peyton knows better than to watch her brother play again but this time it was her house against her brother's house. The Gryffindor had just recently won a game against Slytherin and both teams are unbeatable as of right now. She wanted to support her house for just this game because she knows it'll annoy Hunter. Donning up her recent purchase of a red maxi dress, it was bright enough to be noticed by him. Arriving at the pitch, Peyton took a spot at the Gryffindor side of the spectator's bleachers. While waiting for the game to start, a grade conscious lady she is, brought a book to read for her exams. She's a fifth year now and OWLs is said to be the child of the mother of all exams in the wizarding world. Peyton needs to pass or do great, at she can have a decent wizarding job. Once the game had started, her focus was on her brother. The Gryffindor might not know that much about Quidditch but his posture and agility was getting there. It wasn't a surprise though when his aim was a miss, he does need to get that aiming of his fix.

Norton was so excited for this second game of the year, well, the second hufflepuff game. The other slytherin and gryffindor game had been fun to watch, and he'd supported slytherin because of Gilly but that was about the only reason why. This was the important game for him. Nortie was fully kitted out, he had his hufflepuff face paint, the t-shirt with a badger on it, the hufflepuff scarf that he could wave. The boy hoped perhaps to run into the girl from last time, April, or really just anyone to share in his excitement and joy about this game. When the hufflepuff chaser actually scored, he cheered loudly with the rest of the house. He really hoped they'd win this.

Dannii had been in her office going over the exam she was putting together for her third years when she heard cheering coming from the quidditch pitch. That's right there was a game today. Since coming back to the school to teach Dannii hadn't gone to see any of the games yet. It brought back too many memories of her time on the team, and the failure that was her professional quidditch career. The woman tried to ignore the sounds coming from the pitch, but now found herself unable to focus on the paper in front of her. Maybe just a few minutes. she told herself. She could at least check out which houses were playing. Dannii made her way to the professor's stands, and sat down on one of the benches to watch the game. It was Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor, and Dannii was quite proud to see her former team score just as she showed up. Pride bubbled up in her, and she found herself cheering for the students. Even after all these years she still loved the game.

Teagan with poise, levitated a few rolled up banners that she made for the up coming match. It was decided that she and Izzy won't be playing. Hard headed she could be but with a reason, Teagan wasn't backing down from Professor Cliffeton. The blonde Ravenclaw thought that he would understand them on why she had to retaliate back to the person who trashed their common room. Instead, he took their side. Arriving at the Ravenclaw side of the bleachers, she took a seat up front where the players could see the banners that with a help of magic, was spread widely and the words "Fake" and "Cliffeton" were among them. And some are more on Quidditch itself "GIVE US OUR QUIDDITCH OPPORTUNITIES. WE HAVE A RIGHT" and "BANNING STUDENTS FROM PLAYING QUIDDITCH ISN'T THE SOLUTION" Teagan waited for the game to start and as well as looking out for her Head of House in case he caught her again.

"Are you sure you wanted to watch this nonsense?" Theo asked his sister with a sigh. The Hufflepuff wasn't convinced that this is even a sport, everyone has the possibility to die or get hurt in the process to win. Theo admit to himself that he's very competitive but the kind of sport he likes doesn't harm him nor everyone. Just a clay target and that's it. But Quidditch was a sport from another planet. It was barbaric and they're here, about to watch other students beat each other with a rogue flying ball while attempting to score without being hit by it. "Ysa, we could have just gone to the library and study." He tried to persuade his twin to go back to the castle. But they were already there and lazily took a seat near the front to see the whole scenario unfolds. Theo just want to shake his head, what kind of magic would have gone into his sister's mind that she end up liking here? He can't think of anything. The game started as slow while he had time to observe his surroundings, a particular scene of banners got his attention. He smirked, at least he's not the only person who hates Quidditch.

Harriett was beginning to wonder if coming back to Hogwarts was the greatest idea she ever did. After their common room was trashed by the people who aren't even their housemates, Harriett was scared that someone might do it again. Although, the third year Ravenclaw was as nice as she could ever be to everyone, including to their rival on Quidditch. Thank the lord above she had the guts to lie about what's happening from her parents. They were busy enough at the consulate that she didn't want to bother them with silly stuff. Harriett began to get paranoid at night that she has to make sure their dorm room door was securely locked by a charm spell. Since the incident, Harriett stick to a schedule she made; breakfast, classes, lunch, classes, dinner and sleep. It kept like that till now but her house was playing and at least, her support was counted. Harriett made her way to the Quidditch pitch, it was already starting when she arrived and found a seat near a blonde Ravenclaw she'd seen around. "What's going on? What's with the banners?" Harriett asked with a whisper to the blonde. She'd seen some people protest about Quidditch before here too but she didn't understand the meaning of the signs. What's their Head of House got to do with it? She thought. But that's not her problem anymore, does it?

Bee had come to the Quidditch game to support her House as the tournament between the Houses was drawing to a close soon and she knew they needed to win to help them all the house points they could get. Plus the fact that Gryffindor was the best so they had to win. The short girl had squeezed her way all the way to the front of the stands so she could get a better view of the game once it started. It wasn't long before the teams were in the air and she cheered when Gryffindor first got the ball. Then she heard a bit of commotion in the stands and glanced over her shoulder. At first she saw banners with the words "Quidditch" on them and assumed it was the same Ravenclaw twins who always protested at the games so she paid it no mind.

But in doing a double take she saw that these banners weren't protesting against the sport, instead they were protesting for their right to play. That was odd. Bee didn't really understand the purpose of the banners or this attempt at a protest. She looked to see who was responsible for it and vaguely recognized the girl as the Ravenclaw Keeper. But instead of being in the air right now with the rest of the team, she was in the stands with the rest of them, protesting for her chance to play. Bee wondered why the Ravenclaw hadn't been allowed to play. She had heard that some players had been kicked off the Gryffindor team, but she didn't realize the same had happened to the other team. At least this evened up the playing field and it would make for an interesting game. The Gryffindor raised an eyebrow at the girl's loud display and murmured, "Sounds like a personal problem to me," and turned back around to watch the game again.

Marcos was pretty happy that there was another game, and boy was he enjoying the game, it didn't matter that clearly Ravenclaw was having some ongoing problems with quidditch, he was just happy to be sitting amongst the other students in gryffindor proudly and loudly cheering on his houses team. He was waving his hands enthusiastically when they first caught the quaffle, and groaned heavily when the person failed to score. The young Gryffindor was just so excited to be watching it and he was deeply hopeful that Gryffindor would win at the game. he knew that would be the best thing if they did. He wanted that badly, really though Marcos just couldn't wait until he himself was able to play the sport, able to show them how it was properly done.

Ysabel was excited to watch another match. She was proud of her house and that she wished they win over Ravenclaw. She didn't like the last match because it was against his brother's house but she knows that Theo didn't like the sport. The Spanish girl rolled her eyes at her brother, "I wouldn't be this excited if I don't." Over the Christmas break, she and her family had discussed about the school and if they're still happy staying. Of course, Ysabel was but her twin wasn't. She didn't really object if he wanted to stop going at Hogwarts New Zealand but she was surprised when he mentioned to their parents that he was still happy. "Theodoro!" Ysabel called out to him on his Spanish name. She just scoffed and continued to find a seat, her brother decided that front was the right choice. The game started smoothly but the banners and crude words on it about Quidditch was distracting her. Ysa read them one by one and noticed the Ravenclaw's main keeper sitting there instead of playing. Ysabel smirked, she probably did something to get in that position, she thought and did the bravest thing she had done for a while. "HEY! BLONDIE! AFRAID MY HOUSE WILL BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF YOUR HOUSE!" Ysabel had to stand up and shout, so the girl can notice her.

The game was in a good start, Caelan attempted his first block successfully and she was proud. Her protest was simply with the banners and no shouting nor looking like an idiot. When someone asked her what was with the banners in a whispered toned. Teagan turned to see a younger Ravenclaw sat one step above her on the bleachers. The older Ravenclaw looked at her banners and back at the girl. "Our idiot Head of House banned me and my friend from playing. I should be keeping and my friend should be seeking that damn flying golden ball." In her head, Professor Cliffeton was wrong to take a side when they're the ones whose aggravated by the event. Teagan was done with Asaiah's gang, twice a punch in the face satisfied her and she wishes not to cross path with them ever again.

But when the protest should had been peaceful, someone had shouted for her as she was the only who had banners. What irked her was the use of name, she got it, she's a blonde. Teagan looked at the direction of the girl who shouted and glared at her. "HEY! EVEN IF WE LOOSE AT LEAST MY HOUSEMATES DIDN'T TRASHED AND DEGRADED SOMEONE ELSE'S COMMON ROOM!" She shouted back without standing up. I guess not everyone knows what happened Teagan thought to herself. First years, they don't really pay attention to their first and second years at Hogwarts. The blonde Ravenclaw turned to watch the match and didn't took her gaze off the pitch.

Veronica had attended all of the Ravenclaw games so far this year, but she didn't think she had ever felt more of a need for her house to win than now. She had quickly discovered that watching matches in person was a completely different experience to just listening to them on the wireless. The stands always seemed to be just as busy as the actual games, and once again she could see banners being flown in her house's section that had nothing to do with supporting their Quidditch team. At least, she didn't think so. Regardless, Veronica tried to tune out all the extra shouting that was going on, and just focus on the match itself. Gryffindor was up a goal already, but that really didn't mean anything, she tried to assure herself. Ravenclaw could win this, she thought, her hands gripping together tightly. It would be so disappointing to lose again.

Professor Kaibryn loved quidditch and the fact that her old house ... though technically not really hers from this particular school but rather from the original Hogwarts school, she felt compelled to go along and cheer them on. Any game she had ever attended had some heckling and jeering at it so she wasn't too surprised on seeing banners poised but that they were from the Ravenclaw side was a tad surprising. She couldn't make out what they said but after yanking her omnioculars from their pouch, she glanced across the pitch to see what was written. Faida couldn't help but grin, she was all for rights of the oppressed so figured she'd let the Ravenclaw head of house deal with anything if a wee protest got out of hand. She just seriously wanted to enjoy the game!

Both teams were fine really but her heart soared when Gryffindor scored and then there it was, her head moved as she looked through her ominoculars to see the Gryffindor seeker swoop to catch the snitch. She all but strangled herself as she raised her hands in the air to cheer, catching the strap about her throat as she did so. Chuckling she lowered the glasses and clapped loudly. She hadn't doubted them for a minute!

Norton was overjoyed at the prospect of being able to go to another game. He loved quidditch, he loved quidditch so much really, though he hadn't yet played it, he did love it a lot. The boy was completely kitted out for the game, a hufflepuff t-shirt, yellow and black face paint, a hufflepuff banner, a hufflepuff hat, just going all out for the team. He was in the stands, waiting eager for the game to begin and also for April, he had suggested to her that they watch the next game together. One, because they'd watched the last couple together, but also because she had the same energy as him when it came to the game. The boy was rocking back and forth on his heels waiting. He was ready for the game, and he would cheer to his hearts content until the game ended with hopefully a hufflepuff victory. He did wonder if he should join the team in the following year, expand his love into actual playing, but norton did just love supporting his team loudly from the sidelines, screaming and shouting until he went hoarse and just enjoying the sports.

April was READY for this game. She had enjoyed cheering for Hufflepuff last time, but this time she really wanted to go all out. She had painted yellow, black and white stars on her cheeks and put yellow flowers in her hair. Her entire outfit was yellow too, with her Hufflepuff scarf to top it off. She had also made a sign reading "Go HUFFLEPUFF!!!!" With stars and hearts around the words. She arrived a the stands and was delighted to see her best buddy for this sort of thing. "NORTON!" She yelled, jumping at him and giving him a hug. "You look so good! Go HUFFLEPUFF!" She knew he would agree with her, together they would help this team win. She let go of him and waved her sign.

Minerva had sort of said she would possibly maybe kind of go to the next Hufflepuff game but until twenty minutes before hand, she still hadn't been entirely decisive which wasn't like her at all. Eventually she had donned her Hufflepuff sweater and trainers, painted two stripes of the Hufflepuff colours on her cheeks and pulling her hair into a high ponytail and gone to watch. She knew the entire house would probably show up at this game, so it was probably a good thing for her to go and give some support too and she'd most likely see April and Norton there.

By the time she did make it up to the stands, they were jam packed with spectators and she couldn't see anyone she knew other than the backs of lots of heads and hats and strange masks. With a sigh she stayed at the back, figuring her lack of quidditch knowledge or favour for the game would be best spent there than up the front where all the die hard fans were cheering loudly already.

She took out her omnioculars and watched as the teams began to line up, she just hoped it was going to be a good game and not some violent free for all!

Norton smiled excitedly at April as soon as he spotted her, jumping up and down to get her attention, goodness how excited the boy was for this! He couldn't wait! This would be the best game ever. "APRIL!" he greeted in return loudly above the rest of the people. He was so excited for the game, and so happy to be sharing it with April. He smiled at her compliment, "So do you!" he returned, since he very much agreed with her, that while he looked good, so did she! Hufflepuff was the best house ever, and he couldn't wait to spend his afternoon happily cheering them on. The boy jumped up and down cheering loudly as the game kicked off with hufflepuff taking possession. He cheered as loud as he could, and then suddenly spotted Min within the crowd of hufflepuff, "MIN! MINERVA!" the boy practically screamed as loud as he could, jumping a little up and down to try to get her attention, hoping that she would come and join him and April. He wanted to go over and drag her over to sit with them, but he couldn't tear his eyes away from the game, "MINERVA!!!"

Minerva watched the teams begin to take to the air, they looked pretty good actually she thought but really hoped that this game would be a short one instead of one of those long drawn out games. All the houses seemed to have turned out for this but it was the biggest game of the year. She did hope Hufflepuff would win but knew that though her house mates would be disappointed, there was always the house cup within their grasp still! Maybe she shouldn't say that out loud though she mused.

It wasn't long however before Hufflepuff did score and the stands erupted with cheering, or the Hufflepuff stand did at least. She thought for a moment she had heard her name being called but over the milieu of cheers she decided that she was hearing things and went back to looking at the game again, every so often scanning the many heads before her small frame to see if she could recognise any of her classmates or see April and Norton.
