Did you miss me?
Lily Fossil had never been a fan of magic. She had from day one ignored it's insistence upon her life. She'd fought against everything which told her she should go with it. Go with what she was meant to be. A witch. A good, if somewhat evil witch. Lily was the type to follow her heart, but it hadn't ever had place for magic and what magic brought. It was after finding out most of her family was a cheating lie, that Lily had started to turn against her dancing roots and face to cold fact that maybe it was time for something new. Of course this didn't mean that Lily Fossil was leaving dance completely behind. She'd spent almost all her time focused about dancing, she was not letting something as minor as the fact magic wasn't first to mean that she'd leave it completely. Her heart wasn't in practicing every day for almost all hours of the day. Eating salads, and watching everything that she did and ate. Lily wasn't the type to completely change herself because of minor things, and though to most it would appear as though she was doing this, it was actually something pretty major, that had caused Lily Fossil to look over her entire life. And Magic was one of the things that Lily wanted to return to not ballet. Lily had been away for most of her third year, and almost all of her fourth year. She was now 15, and a lot had changed about her. Her was long, straight and flowing. She had a slim figure with a small stomach. It was clear in her build that she'd been a dancer. Her entire family had been dancers. Lily was also quite a bit taller. She'd been a fairly small first and second year, but, She was now standing tall, with long legs that made most jealous. Lily Fossil tried very hard on her appearance, she wore the right clothes, that matched, with the right shoes with the perfect heels. But, Lily wasn't that confident with her appearance. She was most confident in her dancing. And now without it, she didn't feel as confident. Lily Fossil didn't think she was pretty enough, she didn't think she was smart enough, dedicated enough.

Classes were easy enough. Lily had found getting back into classes pretty easy. She wasn't finding it hard to catch up. In fact she found it simple. There was a part of her that wondered why the others in her class were always wondering how hard things were and how on earth they were going to pass the end of year exams. And yet, Lily Fossil felt pretty confident that despite having missed most of the course she was feeling confident about classes. Lily hadn't really ever focused herself in classes before, but know she really was. She was doing all the work that was given to her, she'd even done the homework. Even in the ballet school Lily had never once touched homework. Now things were different. One thing that did worry Lily Fossil was her brother. Oscar Fossil, her half brother, the boy who loved magic more than anything and hated when Lily was a part of it. Explaining why she'd come back, was going to be hard to say the least. She was like her brother in many senses. They both had fairly short tempers. And both felt very strongly about things. Oscar unlike Lily was laid back, and easily made friends. He had a tendancy to say the Lily was cold to the bone. And while Lily wasn't generally affected by it, it did hurt to know that your little brother had more friends than you. Lily had never bothered with friends before which was why it seemed silly to start now. Lily Fossil knew that friends would affect her studies, and friendship was a very sketchy thing in Slytherin. Still, Lily knew she could do with the company. And she had no inclin to spend any of that time with her brother. Lily knew she'd have to do things her way. Act nice and hope they prefer that to what Lily is actually like. For now she'd be Lily, with Livia as her personality.

Lily Fossil entered the Great Hall, it was lunch on the last Monday of May. She had a small smile on her face and was just standing at the entrance. Lily's chocolate coloured eyes darted about the room. She'd fallen out of sync with Hogwarts life. And here she was. Glancing at the hall as if she had never left, and nothing had changed. She couldn't spot Ava, which was probably a good thing, Lily had been pretty mean to her before. She couldn't spot any of the people she'd known. She couldn't say friends, because Lily had never really had any. She was cold and tended to get bored easily. She was wearing her uniform for the first time. A small shirt with short sleeves, her Slytherin tie, a small black skirt and tights and of course to finish off the outfit she wore black stiletto's. It finished the outfit. Lily looked a little older than just 15, but it wasn't on purpose. Lily Fossil knew it was pretty pointless just standing at the edge of the hall. She was hungry, but from her point she could see the entire hall, without having to move much at all. And from this point she had a birds eye view of what exactly she had missed. Lily didn't mind that she looked weird, she was comfortable, leaning against the wall, and Lily was the kind of girl who didn't really enjoy being in the middle of a very noisy and busy place. She preferred the sidelines. It was only during dancing that she had ever liked being the complete center of attention, now here she was, no longer a permanent dancer. Thinking about the magic that Lily had once hated with a burning passion.

OOCOut of Character:

Lily's comeback.
This topic is way open. Even to annoying firsties.

Lilith walked down the halls toward the Great Hall. By her side was her faithful cat Mischief. Hearing a few people whisper as she walked back Lilith gazed at them with her large purple eyes. Ever since she had taken on the Koshiba name it seemed like she had become more interesting overnight. Just like her sister Lilith was going through a change. Her skirt was a tad shorter than it used to be. Her heels was a bit higher. She shirt was tighter her tie loser her robes of course fitting her body perfectly. The only difference between her and Eden was that Lilith was not a seer and pure evil.

Just as she entered the hall Lilith saw the girl and stopped to turn to her. "So are you going to go in or are you just going to stand there and hold the wall up?" Lilith wondered why someone would just stand there spying on the hall that was something Eden would do. Shifting from one foot to the next Lilith looked the girl up and down taking care to notice everything about her. Blinking her eyes slowly Lilith locked eyes with the girls. It was not done in a stand off manner it was more out of wondering who the girl was and what her story was.

There are a few things that hadn't changed much at all in her absence. One was that it was still loud and there was always at least 3 people speaking and two, every other house (apart from slytherin) were sitting at each other's table. Slytherin was just Slytherin. Lily Fossil was proud of that, she knew that at least the Slytherin Values hadn't gone away in her absence. Not that they would or could. Slytherin was the type of house that stood strong in it's founders values. Which was why at times even in Slytherin Lily hadn't felt at home. She was a muggleborn. With no magic to her name, a second name that meant little unless the people were in the dance industry. Of course Lily tried to ignore all things like that. She had as much reason to be in slytherin as any pureblood. Lily wasn't exact brave, no gryffindor. Lily wasn't exact loyal, no Hufflepuff. And Lily Fossil wasn't that smart, no Ravenclaw. All she really was, was a b!tch, who would do anything to get ahead. No matter the real cost. She was sly, uncaring and cold. It was then even weird to her, that she wanted friends. Lily knew it would be an odd friendship, since she took a long while to trust anyone and she was the kind of girl to just push everyone away. Lily knew it was twisted and she was sure, she'd end up alone and most likely bitter. But, it wasn't so much that that bothered her. Right now, Lily was just bothered about the fact there was no more dance in her life. And that she was now alone to try to find herself and something else that she was good at. But this like most other things was easier said than done. Lily turned as a girl spoke. It was a slightly familiar looking girl. Slytherin, who was now speaking to Lily. Lily betted that the girl was a 4th year, it would be the only way that Lily Fossil would know her from anything. The girl didn't look too bad. The uniform didn't give much away but, Lily was trying to figure her out. Lily met the girls eyes and gave a small mocking smile.

"I think I'll just stand here and hold up the wall. I mean, we don't want the walls to fall down now do we." Lily Fossil said, her voice pretty indifferent and her accent clear in it's Kiwi twang. She gave a small nod to the girl. it wasn't a I like you nod, or I think we should be friends nod, or even a move along nod. It was a nod that just said, I acknowledge the fact you're there. "Would you like to take over, or are you going in to eat something?" Lily looked away from the girl, and back out to the Great Hall. She wondered if the girl would just leave, or if, she would stick around to annoy her. It didn't cross her mind that this girl could actually be a friend. Lily was the type to not see what was there right in front of her.

Lilith looked at the girl for a long moment. Had she seen her around somewhere? She kind of gave of the Eden vibe. Lilith had long become numb to that vibe. She got it this girl was holding her true self back. Lilith knew better than to push it would do nothing but cause drama. Putting down the hall back toward the Slytherin Common room. Lilith watched as Mischief flicked his tail and made his way back the way they had come. Seeing the mocking little smile Lilith returned with the trade mark Koshiba smirk. Lilith was still becoming used to her new last name on her papers but everything else was as if she had always been a Koshiba.

Lilith looked down the hall for a moment as the girl spoke. "There are first year puffs that could be doing that. Slytherin's are above that." Lilith could not believe the words that where in fact coming out of her mouth. Never in her life had she thought that because she was placed in the Slytherin house that made her better than someone else. "I might go in and eat or I could stand here and hold the wall up with you. It seems like you are all alone." Lilith smiled at the girl this time a real smile. "I am Lilith Koshiba who might you be?" Lilith was always friendly to people even when they where in a bad mood it was just how she was.

Lily Shrugged at the girl. She made a fair point, if in fact the wall needed to be supported by a person leaning against it then a stupid first year hufflepuff would be the one to do it. Not Slytherin. Better yet, a Gryffindor would probably do it better. A hufflepuff in Lily's eyes were the very bottom of the food chain. They didn't deserve to be in the presence of a Slytherin, Lily had been away for a little while, but at no point had this feigned her loyalty to Slytherin. Slytherin was the place where Lily knew most of the time, was a good fit for her. She was evil and sly above all else. "No, a first year hufflepuff would f##k it up. Stupid little ones, those hufflepuff. A first year gryffindor, not above it, and not so stupid as to fail. But, you are right, Slytherins have no place holding up a wall." Lily Fossil replied looking back at the girl briefly before returning her gaze to the Great Hall, while leaning away from the wall and standing straight. She was now at full height and no longer slouching. Lily had a straight posture, She had a dancer's posture. She looked back round as the girl spoke again. She didn't really know what to think. She was alone, but Lily had too much pride to ever admit to anyone that she was alone. But, she wasn't sure if she was quite ready to have lunch. Just as she thought this, Lily's stomach grumbled quietly. Lily gave a small light laugh. She was hungry. "I think my stomach has decided I'd like to stop holding up the wall and eating is what I should be doing." She didn't directly or indirectly ask to join the girl for lunch. Lily wasn't too bothered. She wouldn't mind the company, but it was taking all her might to not tell the girl to p1ss off. She was aware the girl had done nothing wrong, and she was a slytherin, but this made it all the more reason for her to not want to be her friend. Competition. Lily knew that kind of attitude was not going to get her anywhere. She had to at least give the people who were like her slightly a chance. Lily held the girl's stare as she introduced herself. Lilith Koshiba. The name rang a bell, but Lily wasn't quite sure why.

"Lily Fossil" Lily introduced, a small and real smile creeping onto her face. Now that ballet was no longer a real thing in her life, Lily's smile was almost always real. And she had not introduced herself as Livia for a long while. Things for Lily were somewhat normal. As normal as they could be. "You're a fourth year right?" Lily was sure that Lilith was a fourth year. Lily thought she looked familiar and really that was the only way for Lily to think that they'd either met in passing or been in the same room before. Lily didn't speak to many people.

Lilith didn't know if she wanted to just leave the girl to her thoughts or stand there and continue on talking to her. Normally at the point Lilith would be gone already but she just could not there was something special about this girl. Something that made Lilith want to stay and talk to her. Hearing the comment about puffs messing things up Lilith had to agree. "Yes you are right about that. My older brother dated a puff and she was really quite young and dumb but than again the Koshiba males like there girls young and dumb." Lilith could remember when that had happened. Her and Eden had spent hours laughing about it. Even new all Eden or her had to do was say the word yule ball and the two sisters would burst into a fit of the giggles. Nodding her head to the comment about the girl being hungry Lilith pushed herself off from the wall. "Yes filling your stomach is always a far better choice than just standing and holding up some wall." Lilith could feel that there was something about this girl was not quite right. It was almost like she did not like her but that made no sense seeing as Lilith had never done a thing to the girl other than try and be nice to her.

"Very nice name everyone in my family calls me Lili for short." It was kind of weird how much in common these girls where. Both where Slytherin, both had names that where close to one another. They even looked to be about the same age. "Yep I am a forth year what about you?" Lilith hopped that they where both in the same year as well. It would be nice if Lilith could at least make a friend that was close to her age instead of always having to hang out with people that where closer to Eden's age.

Lily just lightly nodded once more. Lilith's nickname, was Lily's name, only most likely spelt differently. It made Lily smile slightly that this was such. She had never imagined that she'd meet anyone who actually liked the name Lily. Lily wasn't a huge fan of her name. But, it was her. She'd never made a very good Livia. Lily took a step away from the wall. She was quite hungry now, and wanted to eat. She could smell the different aroma's of the food. She hadn't before been able to eat whatever she fanced, and the thought of being able to was exciting. of course, apart from the smallest of smiles upon the Slytherins face it would be almost impossible to tell that Lily Fossil was in fact excited about something. Lily nodded again. "A poor excuse of a fourth year to be quite honest." Lily replied to her question. Lily was a pretty poor excuse for a person who enjoyed school, and who dedicated her time to ensuring that her house came first in the Cup. But, Lily had been preoccupied and had been away so she could reason it with herself. if others would understand would be up to them entirely. If she chose to tell anyone. Which right now, Lily had no intention of doing. "OWLs next year though." Lily added before taking a step into the Great Hall, careful with each step so she didn't fall over or break her heel. In front of a new person and many others falling would be ungracious and embarrassing. But, being a Ballet dancer, Lily had one of the best postures most others would be dreaming of. "You coming?" Lily didn't know why she actually was considering lunch with the girl in front of her. So, she left the last question pretty open ended. Lilith could sit with her if she wanted to, and Lily wouldn't mind. She also wouldn't mind if she didn't sit next to her. Lily knew it was a free country and if she had other friends she would rather sit next to, Lily wouldn't take offense.

Lily took a seat at the Slytherin table and picked up the salad bowl and served herself some salad. This was before getting bread and putting it on the side of her plate. She then took the pumpkin juice and poured herself a glass. Lily knew she wasn't venurering far from the norm that she was so used to. But, she could only think that too much at the one time would be pretty bad. So, small steps to begin with. And Lily wasn't particularly interested in unhealthy food so, she wasn't going to begin by eating it. Lily picked up a bit of salad and ate.
