Conan Edogawa was beyond nervous. He had done a lot of stupid things in his whole twenty-one years of living and he was pretty sure that this was one of the most stupid things he had done. Okay, partly stupid and yet most nonetheless. And he was realizing that just now as he looked at the back gardens of his house. It was the middle of the January winter and yet, he could not feel the cold as he wore his suit and wandered about the place. There wer guests about the place already, including his family, and he was quite thankful for the fireplace that they had was connected to the floo network. The ground was blanketed with a thin layer of snow and a roof hovered steadily above with antique lamps for decoration. The temperature was cold but not bitingly so with the help of some connections he had made from work. Round tables and chairs were placed systematically at the whole expanse of the garden aside from two long tables placed by each side of the door leading to the interior of the house, and a long table at the far end where a podium sat at it's front. Tables and chairs were covered in yellow linen and decorated with cherry red ribbons and laces while charmed cherry blossoms were to be found at every centerpiece. In the middle of the garden was the aisle that led to the podium, covered with a simple maroon carpet and was otherwise left bare. All in all, the decorations were just as planned. Even the selection of Western and Japanese food and beverages strewn about at the two long tables near the door. And the cake sitting at the far side of the head table. All in all, Conan was pretty sure everything was going according to plan at the moment. And yet it did nothing to soothe his nerves.
"Go on. Say it. I'm dead," Conan groaned for the umpteenth time at his giggling sister. He had been crazy. Beyond insane to plan this event by himself and in secret no less. He didn't think he would actually pull it off, but he had managed pretty well, but he was sure it was thanks to the fact that he had work and he and his fiancee lived far away from their families and friends. Yep, Conan Edogawa had insanely planned a wedding for Taylor Blare without her knowledge. He was doomed. He knew it. It took a lot of meticulous planning and some help from one of his fiancee's friends but he had managed fairly well if the set-up of the garden was by any indication. He had invited people (with quite some trouble), and basically, everyone was aware, except for the bride. His family, her family, their friends and their former professors as well. Even their son who was quite happily dressed in a suit and chasing his cousins around the place. "I'm royally f***ked," he said before fixing his tie for who knows how many times this afternoon and looked at his watch. It was already five in the afternoon. She was going to be home soon and in less than hour. He looked at Ai and nodded before she headed into the house to get the some girls and prepare Taylor for this little surprise. Hopefully a wedding will start in an hour and not war. He had opted to entertain the guests that had arrived for now. Hopefully, that will calm him down enough before the whole thing starts, and hopefully not end.
