Sorting Ceremony

Izale shuffled amongst the other first years waiting to be sorted. She eyed the teachers up the front, wondering if they'd be stricter or softer than her teachers at home. She was looking forward to starting this new school - no-one knew her so she could be whoever she wanted. She wasn't impressed with the uniform, but it was a small price to pay to finally be away from home.

Away from the arguing and the tantrums and the constant noise: crying, screaming, crying, laughing, crying, shouting, crying. And the nappies. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath in... and smiled to herself: no smell of dirty nappies! There was a weird smell Izale couldn't quite place, but it wasn't dirty nappies, so she was happy.

Her eyes popped open when she heard her name called... and pronounced correctly??? That was a first. She was liking this school more and more. And she would definitely be writing a singing, talking hat into her next comic strip - this place was awesome.

Izale made her way up to the front, delivering another subtle jab to back of the boy who'd stood on her foot earlier and not apologised. Sitting down, she found herself plunged into darkness. And the hat started talking... to her?

'This is so weird,' she giggled to herself, but suddenly sat up straight when the hat seemed to... respond to her thoughts?

'Well I just want to go somewhere I won't be bothered by any bratty little kids.' She couldn't hide her grin. Freedom! Freedom at last!

Lauren was so exited about this day, she was going to hogwarts today! She was not nerveus, it looks like a great adventure and she has read so much about it. And now the day was finally here. Lauren was not going alone, she was with her two brothers: Ethan and Nathan. They were going to, and they all became first years. The three Abbott children said goodbye to there parents, and stepped on the train to hogwarts. They haved decided, they all three were sitting together. But Lauren saw a few of beautiful boys. Oh i have something to do boys, i will be there soon alwride? You can go! Lauren loves boys and their attention, she walked to a group first year boys. Hai there boys, i am Lauren. Can you help me with my luggage? It is so heavy. When Lauren reunited with her brothers, she was smiling. The luggage was gone, and the boys frowned to each other. When the train stopped, the boys came by and give Lauren the bagage. Lauren and the boys where walking and then they saw a big castle: Hogwarts.. They were walking into a great hall, with a lot of candles. Lauren was smiling and has the same attitude as her brother Ethan. She saw him staring at a girl, and smiles. They looked like each other because their twins. But he was girlcrazy and she boycrazy. She was not afraid of this, not the sorting. It all seems fine, and she has confidence in this. A professor called names, and then they came by Abbott. Ethan and Nathan were sorted into the same Hufflepuf. She did not think that Ethan would be in hufflepuf but everything is possible. Would she be in hufflepuf too? Just like her brothers or something else? And then the moment for Lauren..

Skye didn't know what to expect as she waited outside the Great hall with her fellow first years. She looked around at the nervous faces and did her best to talk them up and convince them that beyond those doors awaited the best years of their lives. There was just the nerve wracking sorting ceremony. In terms of what House she would be in, Skye didn't know what to expect, her parents had been in different houses, her mother was a Gryffindor and her father in Ravenclaw. Skye had never identified with a particular house so she didn't have a preference and she would make the most of where ever she ended up. When the doors opened the first years shuffled down through the Great hall and made their way to the stool where the sorting hat stood.

The students were called up one by one to be given their fate. Skye knew she would have a long wait, she watched on as her classmates were sent off in all directions to the House tables. She began to wonder for the first time where she would end up. Finally her name was called. Skye looked around at the few first years that remained by her side and she stepped up to the stool and took her seat. The hat was placed on her head and began to ponder.

Elijah Drage followed the rest of the first year students into the Great Hall, a bit nervous over what was about to happen. The hat before him was going to determine his destiny at this school. He could have gone to a school close to home, but he wanted to walk in the foot steps of his sister, aunt and uncle instead. His sister, Evan, thought he was crazy to go clear across the world. His brother, Erik attended here before too, but was back home at the moment.

Name after name was called and students were divided into the houses the Hat felt they were best suited for. Eli wasn't sure what house he was going to, but hoped he would be able to play quidditch on the same team as his family. Suddenly he heard his name and he walked his tall, lanky body to the front of the group and sat down on the stool.

Please let me go where Estrella, Uncle Sumner and Aunt Lily all were. Dad too. They would be proud of me keeping the tradition alive, he thought as he waited for the hat to announce where he was going.

"I'm sure they'll be proud no matter where you end up, which doesn't seem like it'll be Ravenclaw. No, I think you'll find yourself much more at home in GRYFFINDOR!"

Anna-Jo could feel the excitement of the rest of the students around her as they piled in front of large wooden doors waiting to go into the Great Hall for the sorting and the feast. She was most excited for the food, she had no preference of where she wants to get sorted. Her parents had been in Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, so one of those would be lovely but she wasn't sure who she was as a person and hoped the hat could figure out where she belonged. This was a night that was going to define the rest of her years at Hogwarts, she knew that. But still, she was just willing to be there because the food would be amazing. It had been a long journey from England for her, she just wanted to go to bed and prepare herself for classes that started in a few days.

The doors finally opened and between the hugs of everyone else she caught a glimpse of the Great Hall. She was rather short so it made it hard to see how wonderful it was, being stuck in the middle of the group. But as they began to walk she got to look up and see the ceiling and the house flags and just the general splendor of the Great Hall. Standing in front of the Professors a speech was made basically welcoming them there and soon people started getting called on the stage and the hat putting them into houses. She didn't know any of the other students really so she wasn't sure how they felt with the hat's decision. She was getting excited and nervous for the time the hat would call her name. Finally it did and she went up there and sat on the stool. Waiting for what the hat would say she looked out at the Great Hall, finally able to see the true beauty of it all.

"You have a lot of growing in to it to do, but I think you'll make quite the RAVENCLAW!"

Scott knew that his relatives were already sorted and looked very weird when he heard that the sorting hat had putted Ethan into Hufflepuff. To him it looked very strange because his whole family included Ethan himself always thought that he was the Slytherine-type just his mon and his aunt, Ethan's mother. But the sorting hat couldn't had it wrong.. Right? Scott saw Lauren Abbott, his niece getting sorted into Gryffindor and cheered for her. ''Ok Scott, the woman is going to say your name out loud in just a few seconds.. Don't worry, everything is fine.. Everything is fine..'' A nervous few seconds later the woman shouted his name out loud: ''Bailey, Scott!'' When Scott looked up to confirm that the woman referred to him, he smiled and stepped to the stool waiting to get sorted..

The Hogwarts castle was like nothing Mathew had ever seen before. It looked like something he had read about, a castle used by a muggle king hundreds of years ago. As far as the muggle world was concerned, castles like this one were no longer in use, fallen into obscurity. Once he laid eyes on the castle suddenly his mood lifted. He was totally happy about leaving his life behind to enter a new world, his mother had told him that he came from a long line of wizards and witches but growing up he knew nothing of it. He knew his mother could do things, strange things. He knew that she worked somewhere called the Ministry of Magic but he never really knew what that meant.

The castle was just as beautiful on the inside. He was in a group with other new students and they were funneled up the stairs towards the Great hall. They were led inside the hall and taken down to the front of the hall to a stool. On top of the stool sat a raggedy old look hat. Mathew thought the hat must have been important although it didn't look like it. One by one the new students were called up and had the hat placed on their head. Once it touched the student's heads the hat began to talk. Mathew was taken back, he knew he was coming into a world of magic but he had never expected this. The hat seemed to be assigning the students to a house. The students were called up in alphabetical order so Mathew was summoned quickly, the hat was placed slowly on his head, the hat began to talk and Mathew waited.

Tommy was trying to tell himself that he was not nervous, because everyone here (well, students, anyway) had done this and obviously it was pretty normal. Victoria had done this and she was completely fine. It took the blonde a while to find her, since he had no idea where she would be sitting. She had mentioned red in her letters, so that shortened his search, but it was still difficult to find her. There were so many other, bigger Gryffindor's near her. However, he did eventually find her and found himself a little comforted by her presence. He was unsure whether she saw him, but that didn't matter. He saw her, that was really all that mattered. The next familiar people he saw were not people he wanted to see, not right now. Abby, Speed was easy to look over, but Abby was nearly impossible. Was she going to do the embarrassing aunt routine? ... Yes, yes she was.

With his face sufficiently buried in the crowd, Tommy returned to listening to the names being read out. He had heard that of his brother, considering D came much before H. He did not pay much attention to him and his sorting, and focused more on himself and his current position. He was surrounded by people and he didn't like people at the best of times. However, when his name was called he couldn't help but grin. Until he saw Abby's face, then he couldn't help but frown slightly. He toddled up to the hat and sat on the stool. The hat had sorted many other kids, so he didn't doubt its importance. When the Sorting Hat was placed on his head, he found himself in darkness since it was too big for him. He really wanted Gryffindor, he wanted to be with his friend.

"I certainly could put you in Gryffindor but I really think you'll be better off in SLYTHERIN!"

Tate looked around the hall in a state of 'awe'. There were many, many people in the room and he kept to himself. Tate liked groups on most occasions, but he was a little nervous. He knew no-one here and did not know this place as well as he could. He knew some things, like the sorting and the houses, but little else. Annalie rarely lingered on the topic and he had not spoken to her lately, especially since she was a horrible person and was very mean. Her description of the school was also very different, and why he chose to believe her description he was not sure. And as the names were called out, Tate felt his heart beat faster. Soon, he would sit among one of the four tables after being sorted, and he was excited by that prospect. He felt like he had been waiting for ever here, standing among all the other students that had yet to be sorted. Having his last name start with D made verything easier, he knew he wouldn't have to wait too long to be sorted.

"Darkhart, Tate."

Tate nearly jumped at the sound of his name. He quickly made his way to the stool and awkwardly sat on it. Centre of attention? Wasn't something he liked being. His pale hands gripped the stool and he waited for the hat to be placed on his head and once it had the self-conscious feeling that had been clawing at his stomach went away as he was greeted by darkness. This wasn't so bad.

"It's only a moment of attention, and now it's over! You're a RAVENCLAW!"

Freddie was first in the line of first years when the doors to the Great Hall were opened. He was met by hundreds of older students sitting on four tables. That wasn't really what took him by surprise however, the thing that shocked Freddie was the ceiling! He looked up with a dumb struck expression, his lips slightly parted and eyes wider than ever as he saw a beautiful nights sky with floating candles up above him. Fortunately for everyone here it had not begun to rain but Freddie imagined that some sort of electronic roof was placed overhead to prevent them from getting wet, sort of like the Wimbledon Stadium in London.

He followed the Professor and started walking down the hall towards a small wooden stall with an old hat placed on top. The past few hours, heck even days, had gone by as one blur, leaving Freddie unable to recall when he received his acceptance letter, or how he made it to this magnificent hall, but he was glad he had made it this far! He could only wonder what was going to happen next.

"Friend, Freddie"

Freddie was not used to hearing his name called back to front and did not react to the teacher who had called him. It was a boy he had met on the train nudging him forward which made him move. He stepped forward and sat down on the stool and waiting to have the hat placed onto his head.

Damita stood silently in the hall, her eyes wide. The roof was so pretty, it was fun to look at. It made her smile how nice it looked. A hat even talked! Dexter had mentioned a cute little talking hat, but she wasn't sure if she'd describe the old hat as cute. She was pretty sure that's what Dexter called it. But it did sing, that was nice. If she knew the song she would have sung along also, but the lyrics were new to her. She shuddered with excitement, her sister on her arm. She hoped she would be in the same place as Dexter and her sister. She wasn't sure what she'd do if she was with neither of them. Damita continued to look through the hall, her eyes informing her that the green house had a snake as the mascot. Her nose crinkled. Maybe the green one wasn't a good house afterall. Snakes were creepy.

Damita's heart began smashing against her chest when her name was called. What she would have done to have her sister go up there with her. She took a deep breath and walked up to the stool. She took extra time on the stairs, making sure she didn't fall. She had fallen three times on the way up here, she didn't need to break her neck getting to a stool. Damita sat on the stool, ignoring the fact that she nearly fell off, and sat up straight. The hat was put on her head. Did she just stay here? Did she talk to the hat? She smiled. "Hi," she peeped. "I'm a bit scared." She was going to be honest, there was no point in trying to lie to the strange hat, it could talk, and sing, and sort people. Obviously it was magical and special. "Could you please make this fast?"

Jane was slightly nervous as she waited to be sorted into which ever house the sorting hat decided was best for her. She looked at her twin sister for a moment and noticed that Jewel was starting to freak out and put her arm over her sister's shoulder and whispered that everything would alright. She hoped that they would be sorted into the same house but she knew deep down, that they were likely going to be in different houses since they were so different personality-wise and in attitude. She thought about what would happen if they were separated since they had always been together. She was pulled back to reality when she heard her name being called. Taking a deep breath she made her way up to the hat. She kept smiling, masking any nerves as the hat was placed on her head.

Lux Hamilton, for all her effort could not truly understand magic or what was happening. Even more she couldn't understand why her mother had hid magic from her for so long. She mentioned a fear of squids but Lux still didn't get it, sure squids were gross but what did they have to do with magic? These questions would, hopefully, be answered with time for she was quite an inquisitive girl and needed to understand this. It hardly seemed real and no one could argue with this as she walked into a room and watched a hat sing and then decide peoples fates.

Her eyes were wide and she was entranced with this, barely noticing when her own name was called out for her own selection. This seemed to be a very strange initiation process and as she walked up towards the seat she felt like her heart was going to pound out of her chest but kept her face calm and relaxed. No one need know how scared she was. If all went well, she could be accepted into one of these houses and understand the inner workings of this 'society'.

Lux crossed her legs daintily at the ankle as she took her place and looked at the crowd, who had probably gone bored stiff. She would feel this way if they were them. When they would finally get to the 'Z's she had a feeling she would've fallen asleep with so many students around her. She wondered of they all knew that they were witches and wizards before getting this letter and how this was chosen for them but as the talking hat was placed on her head she tried to clear her mind as best as she could and keep a calm face as she silently begged to be out into a good house. Of course she didn't know which ones were the good and which were the bad, she just wanted somewhere that would accept her for who she was and where they would be nice people at large, for this was a strange enough place without mean spirited people.

"None of the houses are bad - there are houses which might be bad for any specific person to be placed in, but none of them are universally bad. Each of the founders was a great witch or wizard, and they each had very strong personalities, with good and bad traits, that they looked for in their students. You, for example, happen to be an excellent fit for SLYTHERIN!"

Lucy walked through the double doors with a look of complete and total awe evident on her features. She had heard so much about this castle from Nadia, Tamalia and from Sammy. She was positive that she was going to enjoy it here and she was already looking forward to going for a stroll through the Forbidden Forest. She knew that Tamalia and Nadia had done it once, they had come out just fine, so she didn't see the problem at all. It was true however that Tamalia had been expelled, but that had nothing to do with the Forbidden Forest, that was all the fault of that stupid Annalie girl, now she was sure that everyone would know her name the instant that they heard it. Not that she minded, it would mean that she was famous. Not that she really wanted to be famous, it just came with the territory she supposed. Merlin, she sounded like a spoiled brat right now, but she wasn't really, at least not from her point of view. She was walking in the line with the other first year students. She had no one here for her, she didn't know anyone. In a few years there would be Hamish and Bethany, but that wasn't going to be for quite a while yet, so she was on her own for now and she didn't know how long that would be for. Not that she minded terribly though, she would have more of a chance to make friends this way. Her trademark Kaster green eyes, took in all the Professors and she smiled when she saw the one she thought to be Professor Kingsley. She knew the woman didn't like her sister too much, but she must have liked Sammy at least a little, she had a hand in making him Headboy after all, Lucy was sure of it. She really wanted to be in Gryffindor. Tamalia had as good as told her that she would be disowned if she somehow managed to get herself sorted into Ravenclaw. Lucy didn't want that at all, she would be the only Kaster not to be in Gryffindor if that happened. Not to say anything against Nadia, she loved her sister, but she didn't really think she would suit the house, she wasn't exactly studious for a start, sure she liked reading, but not textbooks.

"Kaster, Lucielle"

Lucy looked up at the sound of her name and immediately made her way up the line and up the stairs to the stool. She sat and waited as the Sorting Hat was placed on her head. She was excited for this. She was sure the Hat would know her thoughts about wanting to be in Gryffindor where her siblings Tamalia and Samual were. She smiled into the darkness that surrounded her, seeing as the hat was really big, and addressed the hat. "Hey Mister Hat, just thought I would let you know, that I am really excited and that I... um... yeah, I am really excited!"

Grace woke up early, she did not have to set her alarm. Her trunk was already packed and full of Hogwarts stuff. Grace put on the usually smirk that her face showed. Her eyes stood emotionless and when she ran to her parents to wake them they were already up. ''Come on, if I am late serious... there is going to happen something.'' Her parents just thought that Grace was a little on edge, but this was her normal self. Usually she acted all nice with her parents and when they were not around the real Grace popped out. Her Parents drove her to the Train station, her mother was in tears and her father was close to crying. Grace thought it was a little pathetic, she was not dead and she only left for school. ''Oh come on, I am still alive.'' Grace laughed and walked away, she did not like hugging so she just gave a nod towards her parents. The train ride was pretty straight forward and Grace greeted some of the people. At least they knew about Magic, expect those Muggleborn things they were still lame.

Grace turned her head and her hair flew to all sides, making Grace smirk even more. ''I am so pretty'' she thought, Grace was really self centred and did not care about anyone else. ''Oh come on..Jeez..'' Grace was getting a bit irritated the train stopped and she could not get out. ''I need some fresh air here!'' With that said the train doors popped open and Grace walked on the docks. The boats were already there and she hopped in. There was a guy that almost fell out of the boat and Grace laughed hysterically. ''What an idiot.'' she muttered to her fellow boat mates. When they arrived at Hogwarts, Grace was pretty shocked it was so big.

The sorting speech was to long for Grace her liking, but she listened anyway hoping to find some hints on how to achieve power here. Grace would be one of the first to sort and when the sorting began it was only a couple of minutes waiting. ''Collins, Grace.'' Grace walked arrogantly with her shoulders straight to the hat. She did not really care were she would be sorted in. She would do whatever she wanted there, she did not want to be expelled. But a little bit of toying with people was okay. The three legged stool was cold and Grace laughed. ''Maybe as cold as my heart.'' Grace was not evil or anything, she just was a joker with a mean streak.

Salicaire's heart thumped like a caged lion in her throat, she felt excited, but very nervous at the same time. There were only two other's infront of her. Nervously she fiddles with the end of her shirt. Her eyes darted through the full hall, everyone was looking at their direction. Salicaire might've liked attention but even this was a lot. Finally her name was called out. She took a few steps towards the chair and sat down, shaking from head to toe. She closed her eyes, not wanting to see everyone looking at her as the hat was placed on her wavy brown hair.

Jewel was scared, she felt too crowded and the nerves of the fact she was about to be sorted. She knew Jane was excited for this and a part of her was too but she was way more nervous and anxious to get away from these crowds. She felt herself start to panic before an arm wrapped around her. Looking towards the person who was hugging her and saying words to comfort her and realized it was Jane. She relaxed in this position until she heard her sister called up and watched as her sister was sorted into Slytherin. She wasn't surprised by that but she was sure she would not be placed together. Her name was next and she made her way to the hat to be sorted. As the hat was placed on her head she mentally asked if she could be placed with her sister though she knew she wouldn't be.

Ryleigh breathed in and out very slowly for a moment while she was walking up to the front of the Great Hall, together with the other first years. This was it, today was the day she would be sorted into one of the Houses. She had been preparing herself for this, but it was nothing like she expected. "Millet, Ryleigh." A voice called out and it took a few seconds for Ryleigh to notice it: that's her. As she walked up to the stool in front of the Hall she felt everybody's eyes looking at her and started to get more and more nervous. After she had taken place on the three legged stool the man placed the Sorting Hat, which was way to big for her, on her head and it sank over her eyes. Ryleigh closed her eyes, strongly wishing the Hat would make the right decision.

"You needn't worry - I always make the right decision. For you, that happens to be placing you in RAVENCLAW!"

Alex came out of the Hogwarts Express with two friends who he met that day.. He followed the group of gossiping and noisy students who followed the gamekeeper. After twenty minutes of walking he came to a large lake where sloops with lanterns were waiting for them. The students were transported by the boats in groups of six on the lake to the huge and gracefully illuminated castle. After an hour the first years came in the Great Hall, nervous because they would be sorted before all those people in this huge and beautiful hall. He looked amazement at the flying candles and the impressive ceiling witch showed the universe. The ceremony started and Alex listened.. After the deputy called a few names she said.. "Mister Ross, Alexander Ross.. come forwards". And so he walked to the old, shabby-looking, three legged chair. Nervous he was, looking into the hall and to the hat when the deputy put it on his head. What would it be? He didn't know.. he could only wait..

"Hmm, you could be a Ravenclaw - but I think you have more of an inner sense of intrigue, adventure, and bravery than you're even aware of yet. You're a GRYFFINDOR!"

Getting to Hogwarts had been great. Kvistur hadn't expected to get to Hogwarts. His parents had been fairly against it, but here he was. Standing with his fellow students in a huge school for the first time in his life, and the boy was loving it. Being away from home, and his family would be great. As the seventh son of his now elder parents, the young boy wasn't exactly the least confident of people. Throughout his time at home, he had been the forgotten son. The last to eat and all that. There was no one else after him, which was probably a good thing. He had six elder brothers, and the only one of the lot to actually attend magical school. He was excited to say the least. He just wanted to get started. He wanted to fly properly. He wanted to run around like crazy, go swimming in the lake, read all the books he could. Make friends, get into a couple of fights. Everything. He just really wanted to experience it all. He wanted hundreds of stories to tell his family. He wanted to be the centre of attention in his home. He wanted to be the interesting brother, not just the youngest brother. Moving with the crowd of students to the front of the Great Hall the boy smiled to himself. He loved the sights around him. The Hall looked great. He had expected it to be as such, but it far exceeded his young expectations. He just really wanted to know where he would be placed. The young boy hadn't had much time to think about it. His family had been pretty busy and he'd been helping his brothers had his father build a conservatory to the small crammed house. While his family weren't swimming in money, they also weren't poor. His father had also come from a large family, and so believed in closeness. It just meant that he shared a room with the two brother who were just older than him. One was 15, the other 14. Both home schooled, and both incredibly smart as his father kept saying. Sharing a dorm therefore to Kvistur was not going to be an issue at all. In fact he was looking forward to sharing a room with different people.

The young boy hoped that he would be sorted into Ravenclaw. That was the house for the smart people, and the boy believed he was fairly, if not as smart as his brothers. He just also didn't mind the other houses. Though the one that did appeal to him the least was Hufflepuff. While he knew that he also suited that. He was loyal, yes, and hard working, yes. They were methodical thinkers, where Kvistur was a leaping sort of guy. He just did. As the sorting got underway, after a song from a hat, the boy mused over how fun it would be when his name came up. His mother was born and raised in Iceland, she had attended magical school in Iceland, a small private establishment that had since closed down. He didn't know any Icelandic, nor had he ever been to the country, but his first and middle name were both fairly Icelandic in looking and in sound. However his last name was a fairly normal and typical surname in New Zealand. he'd since chosen for the most part to opt for that name in general conversation. Most people couldn't say Kvistur, and the second name was a traditional Icelandic formation of a surname that the entire family had, after his mother's father. However, his name eventually came up fairly later down the line. They chose to not bother with the second name it seemed. "Harris, Kvistur"

With his name called he made his way to the front and then to the little stool, so that a hat could decide his fate.

Kath smiled, tiptoeing in front of the doors that led to the Great Hall. The moment they finally opened she could see the Great Hall appearing from behind them and it was an absolutely breath taking moment. The group of First Years walked into the Hall and Katherine could feel everybody looking at them, but not in a bad way. Most of the other students were smiling, probably wondering who would be sorted into their House. Once the group of First Years stopped in front of the Great Hall and the names started to be called Katherine started to get nervous, thinking about the possibilities. She could be put into Huffelpuf, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor or Slytherin. "McVanough, Katherine!" A voice called out and Kath stepped forward. She took place on the stool and looked around, the Great Hall looked completely different from this angle of view. She felt the Sorting Hat being placed on her head and there was only one thought stuck in her head. "Whichever House I'll be sorted into, I know it'll be the right one for me."

"GRYFFINDOR!"

Vixen Zhefarovich-Dolohov was not surprised when she entered the Great Hall. Everything was as majestic as she had once believed. She wanted to be on the top of the class year one day, and she hoped to get there. Some of her relatives were here, but Vixen did not want to stand with them. Instead she was closer to the back of first years, and she looked down at her hands, knowing that her surname would be brought into question. The relative of the Dolohovs, Carrows and Zhefarovichs, her blood also ran pure of any mud. She was raised to be prideful, and to carry her name with said pride. The woman that raised her was Rayna, and she knew of her mother, told her tales that could scare her and then some that delighted her, like how she marched through on the day of her great-grandfather's death. Things like that made her proud her mom was Thorine Dolohov, though she thought it was weird that she drugged men to make them be with her. Well, that was how Rayna put it. She found herself closer to Rayna than any other woman in the family, but she did love her father's wife, who was now dead and a ghost. Axelle was beautiful, and she saw her father smile and be happy. There was nothing that Vixen wanted more than to see her father with his one true love.

So much thought went into her brain, that she had forgotten all about sorting, and that the last names were getting closer and closer to her own. She jumped a bit in surprise when they called out her name. Vixen felt the butterflies in her stomach go crazy as she marched up to the front and sat down on the stool, waiting to be sorted. She knew that the hat was magical and could read her mind. She just hoped not to be thinking as much and interrupt his sorting. Her mother was in Slytherin, and her father went to Durmstrang. She personally believed that she did not belong in Slytherin. She did not know where else she could go, but she just knew that she did not belong there. She wasn't anything like her mother. She would never die young and abandon her children.

"I've never heard of a mother choosing death to escape her children: but I suspect you know how very foolish a notion that is. You are, perhaps, more alike your mother than you'd choose to believe. You are, for example, unquestionably a SLYTHERIN!"

Emilee looked around the room and took note of both her sister Kialla and her brother Abel at the Slytherin table. She didn't really want to be stuck with them, but she supposed it wouldn't be too bad. Maybe she would be put with them, maybe she wouldn't but it really made little difference at this point. She hated most of her siblings, but she hated Kialla and Abel with a passion.

"Smith, Emilee"

Emilee walked up to the stool at the sound of her name and rolled her eyes at the hat. If they were going to sort her with a magic talking hat, why couldn't she have just gone to Hogwarts in Scotland, it was closer anyway.

"SLYTHERIN!"
