Joceline was standing among the crowd aimlessly, she wasn't as nervous as the others seemed to be, she was more afraid of after, and what Aiden would say, what Gaspard would say, and what Momma would have thought of her if she was alive.

"Richarde, Joceline."

Joceline's heart began to pound so hard she was certain that everyone around her could hear it but she put on a cool smirk and walked up the steps with a bit of swagger. Joceline took a seat upon the stool and blinked her blue eyes as she looked about her.

She spotted Aiden and grimaced slightly, he was glaring coldly at her of course, then she spotted Wendy who had already been sorted and she blinked once more as if to say 'Hi.'

Then the Sorting hat was placed on her head, it's covered her eyes so she closed them as she thought, Anything but Hufflepuff, anything but Hufflepuff... This repeated for a few seconds when her thoughts died down into her memories, mainly sad, a few happy, but her expression throughout the whole thing was one of pain and sadness.

That stopped when she heard the Hat began to speak.

"No, not Hufflepuff. You belong in SLYTHERIN!"

Joceline stood up when she was sorted and skipped off to her new table to her new peers.

Jacob was nerveous to be sorted he knew that he wanted to be a slytherin and a slytherin only.He respected the family line and he didn't want to break it.He went up to the podium and sat on the three-legged stool when his name was called. And the teacher placed the sorting hat on his head.

"You have great pride and ambition; your calling is in SLYTHERIN!"

Robert walked into the Great hall and down the center isle towards the sorting hat. He looked around in silence. Why should i talk to anyone if they won't talk to me? he thought. He tried to ingore the many faces that were now looking at him, and concentrated on the celing.

He stopped at the front of the hall, and watched as the other 1st years were sorting and wondered what he would be put in. He couldn't really care less to be honest. He didn't believe he was magic, and he didn't understand why he had been brought to Hogwarts. Never had he done anything special.

"You need to have more faith in yourself. I can see you being great with your magic if you give it time. You belong in GRYFFINDOR!"

Jemma stood in the great hall, she was a head taller than most of her fellow first years, so she confidently looked down to everyone, the way she liked it. She watched the rest of the students being sorted with a bored expression on her face.
'Lape, Jemma.' The professor said, her stomach twisted, but she hid her nerves with an intimidating smile, she walked to the stool and sat on it, she felt the hat on her head, and scowled at her fellow first years as they stared at her pink and white converse, and her abnormaly long hair and her fake purple contacts.
She looked up, through her eye lashes to the hat, Slytherin, slytherin, slytherin. she said in her head, hoping the sorting hat could hear her thoughts.

"Alright, alright, SLYTHERIN!"

Lilly walked into the hall, she was excited to get sorted, she was tapping her hands by her sides when she heard her name get called

"Forest, Lilly"

she heard professor nick say,
she walked up and took a seat on the stool, she tapped her hands on her lap, she was nervous, but in a good way, the hat was placed on her head, 'shoot my hair' she thought to herself, she waited to be sorted

"You could do well in Gryffindor or in Hufflepuff, but by the way you act with your peers I think you'll find most success in HUFFLEPUFF!"

"Blackmoore, Artemis"

Good Lord, they've gotten my name wrong. I'll better bloody well hope the sorting hat doesn't think I'm Blackmoore-Smith or something like that...

Artemis shifted among the other students, her left leg jiggling a bit under her robe. She resisted the urge to slap the leg hard. In her mind flowed a tranquil void, but her left leg seemed to have adopted and channeled all her excitement and nervousness into a hearty jig. She gave it as subtle a glare as she could, as if it would help, but a fellow first year gave her an odd look before she could avert her eyes. Damn it.

"Blackmoore?"

Oh bugger.

Artemis gathered what was left of her dignity and strode up the steps towards the stool. The patchy little hat looked rather ominous from her perspective, but the closer she drew to it, the taller she seemed in comparison. She sat carefully on the stool, precariously awaiting judgment as the hat slipped over her eyes.

Well well. Here we are, Arty. Barely a moment away from knowing your house. Either way, I'm sure I'll do just fine, despite each house's reputation. Oh do shut up, you've probably missed the hat's verdict. Bloody 'ell, that sounded like a sentence...

The thoughts bouncing in her mind like rabbits slowly began to ebb as a parting in the hat opened and spoke;

"Rowena would quite enjoy you -- RAVENCLAW!"

Artemis gave a startled blink before hopping off the stool with a spontaneous grin. She placed the hat back on the stool, gave it a hearty wink and trotted over to the Ravenclaw table to polite applause.

Today was sorting, Tyler knew this, he had been counting down the days since he had gotten his letter of acceptance to Hogwarts. It of course was a shock to him, he had been raised as a muggle his whole life, he was still a bit disappointed that he wasn't told at all but he understood why, sort of.

Tyler stood around his new peers to see that they were mainly girls, he couldn't help but smirk at this. Well, this is going to be an interesting 7 years, he thought, but shook his head to rid himself of this thought, it was his brother speaking again. It was ridicules, he always thought like him, it was like they had identical minds, except Tyler knew for a fact that he was smarter then his brother and was more cultured, and wouldn't end up saying, 'Fries with that sir?' his whole life.

As Tyler stood waiting for his name to be called a small girl caught his glance, he gave her a charming smile and she blushed girlishly. Then his name was called, "Queen, Tyler." Before leaving he gave the girl a quick wink then strode onto the stage. He sat down on the stool and waited patiently for the hat to be set on his head, looking onto the crowd of students.

Tyler was brought back to himself when he felt the soft cloth of the Sorting Hat touch him and remembered that he belonged in Ravenclaw, he knew this for a fact, it was true, both his mother and father had been in Ravenclaw as a student at Hogwarts Scotland - before they moved out of HS to Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. Hey.. hat? I think I belong in Ravenclaw, if you wouldn't mind terribly.. putting me in this house, I know I'll thrive there, Tyler thought sheepishly, wondering if the hat would get this or if it just scanned memories.

Tyler took a deep breath to calm his nerves, that were suddenly appearing, along with his heart beating faster, but it didn't help, he only began to breath normally when the hat began to speak, he wanted to be in Ravenclaw very much, he wanted to make his parents proud.

"Yes, that is exactly where you belong. RAVENCLAW!"

'Swan, Hayley.'
Hayleys stomach twisted, she had almost puked, she was so nervous. She walked up to the stool and sat down, as soon as the hat touched her head, she nearly exploded, she was so excited, and so nervous. And also self-consious of all the faces staring at her.
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh. was all Hayley could think.

"You'll have to become a little more courageous to fit in in GRYFFINDOR!"

Rician stood nervously in amongst the other first years.
His name was one of the last to be called.

"Serpenthelm, Rician"

Ric shook for a moment, not daring to move but then another first year gave him a sharp poke in the back and he made his way forwards where he was gestured to sit on a stool.
When he sat down, someone placed a hat over his head.
It rested neatly on his ears which were bending over to hold up the hat.
Ric watched the silent hall. Suddenly a voice spoke and Ric jumped a little with surprise.

"You belong most in HUFFLEPUFF!"

Carla Hunde was, as usual, nervous. She had never been to a big school before and she didn't want to think about it. She hoped there would be some friendly, silly, chatty people there, like herself.
She walked slowly up the main hall. Her hands were sweating, they always did when she was excited. She waited patiently for her name to be called out. It seemed like a century before it did. The students looked at Carla in a mean way, apart from one girl who was grinning at her, doing mini waves. :p Carla was glad that there were actually some friendly people, and she knew straight away she would be friends with the girl. But as she looked around, she felt miserable again. Boys and even some girls were glaring at her as if she'd done something wrong. Carla felt like crying, but she held strong and kept waiting silently. The clock was chiming. Carla shut her eyes, and waited, wishing in her head over and over that she was in Hufflepuff, with the girl, crossing her fingers and waiting.... Finally, her name was called! :woot:

"I know you desire Hufflepuff, but something inside me tells me to place you elsewhere. Yes. You belong in SLYTHERIN!"

[ul][li]Ann Elizabeth walked in past the huge doors of the Great Hall. It was her first year, and it was time to be sort. The eleven year old was grouped among the others who were just begining at Hogwarts and she wondered what house she would be sorted into.

Annabells was gifted with the ability to have multiple personalities. Depending on her mood of course. She loved being outside always, but she would do anything to get what she wanted. She was cunning.

She listened for her name to be called. 'Noviette, Ann Elizabeth' Annabells smirked and stepped up. With a swift movement, she sat on the stool and had the sorting hat put on her head.[/li][/ul]

"You seem very adventurous, and interested in charms. Yes, you belong in GRYFFINDOR!"

Maddie wandered into the great hall with her twin, Dakota, beside her. She hoped more than anything they would'nt get split up. She glanced at her for a moment, wondering if she was getting the same pang of excitment and nervousness. There was a certain glee in being in front of the whole school, but also it was extremely over-whelming.

They waited silently for their names to be called.

"Cinellison" the professor called, Maddie froze, unsure of who would be first, "Maddie". She sighed and tried to keep calm. Walking up at the front, she took a seat, and watched as the hat was place don her head.

"GRYFFINDOR!"

Dakota walked into the Great Hall beside her twin.
She hoped that they would both be in the same house- she couldn't imagine being without her.
Dakota had a sudden shiver down her spine, a shiver of excitement.

She waited next to her sister.
Maddie's name was called first and Dakota watched her get sorted and sit at her house table.

"Cinellison, Dakota." Dakota felt her heart beat fast as she walked towards the stool where she sat down and felt the sorting hat slide onto her head.

"Your sister wants you in her house but you'll do the best in RAVENCLAW!"

Seeing the school for the first time was not nearly as exciting as the students on the train had said. Seeing that it was just like a big castle, Erik was slightly depressed. "Pity" he said looking at the outside hoping that the inside was more impressive. Yet as he made his way to the great hall the only amusing thing was the stupid new students gaping in awe at all the wonders. What wonders Erik was not sure. Though at least he got a laugh when a few people made a fool of themselves.

Seeing that the hat began to sing, he was mildly impressed. Clapping a bit as the hat finished wondering where he could get his own talking hat. Now that would impress so many people. As the Professor went down the list of names, Erik just waited. Finally his name was called.

"Dover, Erik"

Walking up in his confident manner, messing up his short blonde hair for effect, he sat down on the stool. The hat was placed over his head and Erik just waited. I don't know what house I want. I haven't read up on this. I know nothing about them. I've heard that you know what to do from the students on the train so I'll let you go at it. Erik thought.

"Slytherin!"
