Joceline was standing among the crowd aimlessly, she wasn't as nervous as the others seemed to be, she was more afraid of after, and what Aiden would say, what Gaspard would say, and what Momma would have thought of her if she was alive.
"Richarde, Joceline."
Joceline's heart began to pound so hard she was certain that everyone around her could hear it but she put on a cool smirk and walked up the steps with a bit of swagger. Joceline took a seat upon the stool and blinked her blue eyes as she looked about her.
She spotted Aiden and grimaced slightly, he was glaring coldly at her of course, then she spotted Wendy who had already been sorted and she blinked once more as if to say 'Hi.'
Then the Sorting hat was placed on her head, it's covered her eyes so she closed them as she thought, Anything but Hufflepuff, anything but Hufflepuff... This repeated for a few seconds when her thoughts died down into her memories, mainly sad, a few happy, but her expression throughout the whole thing was one of pain and sadness.
That stopped when she heard the Hat began to speak.
"No, not Hufflepuff. You belong in SLYTHERIN!"
Joceline stood up when she was sorted and skipped off to her new table to her new peers.

Carla was glad that there were actually some friendly people, and she knew straight away she would be friends with the girl. But as she looked around, she felt miserable again. Boys and even some girls were glaring at her as if she'd done something wrong. Carla felt like crying, but she held strong and kept waiting silently. The clock was chiming. Carla shut her eyes, and waited, wishing in her head over and over that she was in Hufflepuff, with the girl, crossing her fingers and waiting.... Finally, her name was called!
