This moment was Kendra’s dream come true. She stood amongst the other peers, but none looked as perfect as she, so she thought. Yet, sometimes, she thought that looking the best was just not enough, and because she was half-Veela like her siblings, she did not even need to try and that sucked the fun out of everything. Kendra glanced over at Romaine, and then over at her cousin Doriano. She did not know what houses that they would land in, but neither did she. She had no preference, but she wanted to be like her older brother Theodore Snow. She adored him in every way, especially that he was Prefect and all, and the future Head of the Snow family. How awesome was that? Kendra gazed up at the Headmistress when she practically announced that she was pregnant. Kendra raised an eyebrow at just how young she was, well, at least she was producing. Hopefully not too many like her dad did. Oh how her dad could spread his sperm all over the place and spawn with women, three now. She loved her siblings as much as the next person, but hell, there were just too many Snow's! Kendra liked having a small family better than a large.

Her thoughts were weaved about her family, she did not even hear about how the houses were by the hat, but alas, she already knew about them. Ravenclaw was for the smart ones, Gryffindor was for the braves, Slytherins were for the cunning, and Hufflepuffs were the leftovers. Where did she belong? Kendra did not even know this herself. She wanted to be where she could prove herself and be around a bunch of intelligent others that were not cowards, so it was a mix of the houses. Kendra flicked her beautiful blonde hair over her shoulder, as the names were beginning to be called out. She would be before her twin, and that made her smirk. She would be the first, right where she wanted to be. Kendra's ice blue eyes flickered over to Romaine, and then she heard her name. "Snow, Kendra!" Kendra took a deep breath and she boldly walked up to the stool where she perched down and she felt the hat go over her head. She thought, Oh, I know you can hear me, just do what you do best and I will not complain. That was probably a first that the hat has heard but she did not know that though. She were just eleven after all.

"The simple fact that you think hufflepuffs are leftovers means you belong there!"
"No... I can't do that. You're a SLYTHERIN!"

Excited but scared, Maria could feel her heart racing in her chest as she entered the great hall along with the other first years. They formed a line up the hall and Maria felt her stomach drop as she felt the gaze of hundreds of other students on them, on her. With a gulp, she looked down at her feet, hands clenching the bottom of her jumper. Behind her, she could feel another student anxiously consulting his friend about what was going to happen. Straightening her back, she turned to them and whispered knowledgeably, "Daddy says it was a hat that sorted him". The two students stared at her. "A hat?" the boy whispered back doubtfully, "How can a hat sort us?" Maria rolled her eyes and explained patronisingly with a smirk, "It's a magical hat, of course. And my Daddy is probably right, you know. He's a wizard at the ministry and a member of the Selwyn family. We're purebloods." The boy nodded, still obviously dubious as to what was going on, and Maria turned back to the front, feeling the familiar nervousness returning to her. She tried to peer around the other students, feeling very short indeed behind some of these giants, but she couldn't see anything. Was it really a hat?

The chatter increased when a hat was finally revealed, a singing hat. Like most around her, Maria listened in complete surprise as the hat suddenly began to sing a long song about the history of sorting and about the four houses she wanted to get into. Slytherin was Maria's preferred choice. That was the house that Lucinda had said the best wizards get into. And Maria couldn't let anyone know she was a halfblood. She refused to be looked down upon or made fun of because of her mother. Maria almost didn't notice as the song drew to a close and names were called. She listened carefully as numerous students were sorted and passed on to another table. It didn't look like anything was happening. They put on the hat and then a house was announced. A terrible thought occured to her. What if she was refused? What if she was actually a squib? Then she would never be able to use magic. Never be able to turn into an animal. What if she-

"Selwyn, Maria".
It was time. Maria took in a deep breath, trying to calm herself down and put on an air of confidence. Resisting the urge to scuttle as quickly as she could past the line and all the eyes, Maria forced herself to stand up straight with her head held high and marched towards the stand. Confidence, pure and true; just like the sorting hat said. Confidence, pure and true. Confidence, pure and true. She kept her gaze fixed on the hat as she approached and plonked herself down on the seat, gripping the arms with white knuckles. There were a few seconds where she saw all the eyes on her, then darkness as she was subjected to the hat. Please...just let me get into a house.

"No matter what, you'll be in a house. You're magical, aren't you? Or do you lie about that, too? That's right. I know. Now, which house.... how about SLYTHERIN!"

She knew nothing about the four houses, or the values they held. Sofia had never even met those who walked among the crowd with her- soon-to-be first years. However, if there was one thing she was certainly not feeling, it was fear: Sofia only had one fear and though she could occasionally glimpse that as she walked through the great hall, looking up at the ceiling, it wasn't 'pure' fire. It wasn't screaming and crackling and turning faces black, causing her to choke as the smoke rose. This was the tame light of candles. Sofia shifted her robes slightly, stopping one shoulder from becoming exposed. She followed the rest of the crowd, watching some girls ahead who muttered between themselves, casting dirty looks back at her. Sofia sighed. It wasn't going to be easy fitting in with her tomboyish ways. At least, not with other girls.

A sudden hush fell upon the crowd, and Sofia tried to stand tall, to see over the other students. What did they have to do, then? Show off their magic skills? Fly a broom? Tame a dragon? Sofia doubted she could tame a dragon, but if that was the only thing that stood in the way of her attending this school, then she'd give it her best shot. But, as she heard voices called and the crowd thinning, she could see that it wasn't that, at all. People were just sitting down, a hat placed on their head and then, though Sofia couldn't see exactly who was shouting, a voice was calling out one of four name; Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Slytherin. Sofia assumed that these were the houses. The girls in front of her were called up and she heard them both being sorted into 'Slytherin'. Well, she didn't want to be in that house, then, did she?

"Fernandes, Sofia."

Someone had read out her name. Sofia took a deep breath. "This is it.. Be brave." And she was. Though she could feel the eyes of others, she continued to walked to the front of the hall, taking a seat. The hat was placed onto her head, and for a moment, there was silence. Maybe she wouldn't even get sorted? Maybe this place would reject her, too? She had to take another deep breath before she closed her eyes. She knew people were watching her, just as they had watched everyone else. She could feel the hat slipping down, a short way, pressing on the top of her eyelids. For a good few moments, the world was dark and Sofia held her breath.

"I don't know why you wouldn't want to be in Slytherin. It's a perfectly well respected house. I think you'd do well there, with your mischievous nature. Yes. That's it. SLYTHERIN!"

Sawyer entered the great hall with the rest of the new students and looked around in awe. It was huge! It was also full. How could one room hold so many people? Sawyer's parents hadn't been able to but him Hogwarts A history, because the other kids needed school supplies to, so he was itching to get his hands on the library addition. Being nervous was the last thought on Sawyer's mind unlike so many other students. What was there to be nervous about? Everyone had to be sorted at one time. I really hope I get Ravenclaw! It shouldn't be to hard, I'm fairly smart Sawyer told himself. It was true he was very smart, but had never gone to muggle school so he didn't know yet just how smart he could be. Finally the headmisstress called out 'Mason, Sawyer' and stepped up in front of everyone. The hat slipped over Sawyer's head and he waited there patiently. I wonder how this hat works... Sawyer wondered curiously.

"You'll have plenty of time to learn about me, and the rest of the magical world, in RAVENCLAW!"

For Charlotte Edwina Williams the fact Hogwarts was finally here, was the single greatest thought in her brain. Okay, New Zealand was no england. It was nothing like what she came from, but Charlotte was getting to used to the small differences between New Zealand and England. She would quite obviously have to. Charlotte had enjoyed the train ride up. It had been a long while since she had taken that form of transport. Or at least had not been sat in first class. But Charlotte had decided upon hiding her roots to try to fit in better, that and so people liked her for her, and not just because she was richer and more powerful than most put together. Charlotte was standing with the rest of her year outside the Great Hall. Anticipation was clear in the air, and she was very nervous. She was unsure of how to act in front of the hat. The Sorting hat. She had been told about the hat, by her old Brothers. Who had warned her about the different houses, although neither had gone to Hogwarts New Zealand. Charlotte smiled to herself. She couldn't wait to really find out where she belonged. The only other place she did belong was the finishing schools she had gone to. But Hogwarts was different, it was a magical school. Of course Edwina was a witch, and Hogwarts would her home.

The doors suddenly opened and following the rest of her year, Charlotte Edwina Williams walked into the Great Hall. She was remotely underimpressed. She had expected something a little grander. She had expected something more like Buckingham Palace. Or the Great Hall that she had in her home. But Charlotte just guessed that people thought this was grand. And so Charlotte knew she would play along with what they were saying. She looked around herself, and noted the four long tables, filled with students of all ages. The houses. Her mind told her. Charlotte sighed to herself, she had no idea into which she would end up. She had never taken herself and thought about her strengths in such a way as to where she would belong, it always struck Charlotte as weird that a school would do that to young children. But it was the best way to split everyone up and get them into classes. Charlotte shrugged to herself and stood in the crowd staring at the Hat. After an odd song, the sorting begun. Charlotte knew she would have to wait quite a while before being sorted. Her last name was Williams. She would have to wait until most were sorted before she was sorted. And so Charlotte waited. She kept a plain face. And just Stared and clapped as people got sorted. Charlotte was unbothered by her long wait. She was proud of her name.
Williams, Charlotte Edwina
Charlotte took a deep breath and walked to the stool. She brushed down her skirt and sat down. She stared out into the Hall. And waited for the hat to be placed upon her head. She wanted to be sorted. But would give the hat all the time he or she would need to sort Charlotte. It was the polite thing to do.

"Friendly and kind. You're, without a doubt, a HUFFLEPUFF!"

Ava had long since been looking forward to the start of her wizarding education. Her father was a muggle, so he wasn't much help in adivising her on what too expect, but her mother, Ellie on the otherhand could help her. Her mother worked in the Wizarding Examinations Officer in the Ministry, so she had to quickly drop Ava off at the station, and she left her with a big hug and a soft kiss. When they arrived at Hogwarts, Ava was amazed at the castle, there was so much to explore. She sat herself down and awaited the professor to announce her name.

"Your drive to learn shows me you'll be a great RAVENCLAW!"

Kiara was practically jumping up and down as she stood outside the Great Hall. She was standing near to the door, so she could see everything from the front. Her long brown hair, was straight and up in a high ponytail. Her fringe framed her face. She had a large smile, and her blue eyes showed her excitment for what was going to come. Kiara had been waiting to go to school, for a long while. She was ready to learn something. SHe didn't think that she was the smartest person on the planet, but she was ready to learn something. Kiara was also excited to find her brother. The brother she had never met, but would. It was all in all very excitable for the young brunette. She was ready for this. And as soon as she had thought that, the doors to the Great Hall opened and Kiara walked in. She was admist the first few into the hall. Her eyes were darting from place to place. It was such a sight. She was used to Grand things, but this was different. Kiara was smiling and if she wasn't part of a huge group she would've had a skip in her step. She didn't know which house her brother was in, she would just have to wait and see. Kiara smiled to herself as she stood in front of the hat.

Kiara clapped quietly as the hat finished the song. It was interesting to have a hat sing, but Kiara couldn't expect anything less from a magical school. A school, that had no one non magical person inside it. Kiara smiled, as the names began to get called. Getting more and more excited as the time went on. Name after name after name. She was cursing her second name being Tine and not Abertay or something. Kiara watched as person after person was sorted into one of the four houses. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff Ravenclaw, Slytherin. After what seemed like the longest wait in her life. Tine, Kiara
Kiara stepped forward and with the biggest smile on her face walked up to the stool and sat down. She hoped her ponytail wouldn't get in the way of the hat. Her legs were swing, and her eyes seemed fascinated by everything around them. Kiara had to suppress giggles. And in that the hat was placed onto her head. In her minds eye, she was smiling at the hat, and stayed silent. It was not often that a hat would decide a persons fate, so Kiara let the hat do it's thing, in complete silence. Telling her mind to just be quiet. And to not start giggling.

"You might be quiet and generally kind, but your ambitions for yourself and drive to succeed place you in SLYTHERIN!"

today was the day, and what a day. she had gone to obsidian in the morning, and got on a stunning scarlet steam train, she had then spent a while looking out of the window at the stunning new zealand landscape, it was so different from her home in India. once the train had reached her new school her breath was taken away with the grandeur of the castle, it was huge and so amazing. and the inside was just as grand as she had expected. when she and the rest of the first years were lead into the hall, it was amazing, the older students were sat in four tables each of a different color, bright red, emerald green, sapphire blue, and sunshine yellow. then she looked up and she saw the night sky sparkling above her. wow she said awed at the amount of magic, in the castle, she would probably enjoy it here after all. she listened as many of the students were called up and put a talking hat on their head. once most of the ground had gone up she heard her name Sitara, tara" she walked up the steps and sat on a small stall and placed the had on her head and saw the world engulfed in darkness, she quickly shut her eyes.

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

Trembling slightly in the long line of eleven year olds, Lovisa was trying to ease her nervousness, while simultaneously trying to ignore her sister in the front. Nevertheless, she was feeling rather elated somewhere beneath the mixture of many stomach butterflies and mild excitement. In due time, she was hopefully going to get away from her scheming, old fashioned twin who was currently right in front of her...

Her day had started out quite normal for Lovisa, but there the differences started. For the first, they had run out of breakfast, so she was forced to go to the station without it. Luckily though she had her lunchbox, with a sandwich they bought along the way. Luckily, that was what she thought on the train, until her sister came along and took it from her. Now hungry and rather tired, not to mention a whole deal of other feelings, she just wanted to get rid of this and eat.

She managed to snicker a bit when the Headmistress made her announcements but then became much subdued when she realised what she had done. Blushing, she looked down unto her shoes in embarrasment, she usually didn't made fun of other people... Unfurtunately then it was time, time for everyone to get sorted, interrupting her broodings.

She wondered quietly how tired the venerable Hat got after a day like this, especially after her sister... Sighing, she decided to quietly watch her feet tap the stone floor, passing the time slowly as she threw another set of thoughts out of the window. They were in the S'es, so there were a lot of people ahead of them. Thus she waited quietly, with growing tension as she finally saw her sister walk up to the stool and received the Hat on her high and mightly head. Lovisa looked down on her shoes again and didn't listen to her sister's sorting, hoping desperately that she will enter another House than Lena.

Finally, the time of her life had come. Perking up as someone announced the name of "Segerstedt, Lovisa" she strode tentatively up to the podium and sat down on the stool and closed her eyes. Hearing distinctly someone snicker, she ignored it and thought: 'Anywhere, anywhere except the same as the person before me.'

"I'll just place you where you belong, which is in HUFFLEPUFF!"

Stefan could still not believe his eyes. He could not believe that he was actually at Hogwarts. That he was actually somewhere where his father couldn't touch him. Stefan couldn't help but wonder as to why his father had suddenly agreed to let him go. Stefan did not understand his father. And he did not want to. Stefan had never laid eyes upon so many people his age. He had never seen so many 11 year olds. It was all quite over whelming for the colour blind boy. He could throgh his sight make out who had lighter hair and who had darker hair. But that was all his eyes were giving away. Stefan wished he could see the Higwarts colours. He knewthey would have to be some ofthe most amazing things ever. See the real colour of the stone and to see the different colours of the paintings he had seen upon arrival. Stefan noted the excitement that most seem to have. He too was excited but he was sure it was for very different reasons. He was excited that he could finally escape. Finally. A small smile crept upon Stefan's face. He looked Down At the ground, and as he did so, caught a glance at his banadged arm. He'd badly spranned it, so his left arm was in a sling. Stefan also had a large black eye. The last of the hurt his father would inflict. Stefan's smile grew as he noticed the doors open.

Stefan walked into the Great Hall. Only to become almost blind by the amount of light. Lots of light in the Great Hall. His eyes had to get adjusted. But when they were beginning to Stefan saw the four long tables full of students. With the different crests upon the uniform. In that moment stefan knew that each house had a colour. A colour to set them apart. So people knew which they were in. Stefan's smile faded. He couldn't see the colour. He had no idea as to how he would be able to find the table he was meant to sit at once sorted. It also did not help that his last name began with an A. So it only took a matter of moments after the song for Stefan to hear.

Archer, Stefan

Stefan took a deep breath and walked up tothe hat. He felt his cheeks warm as he sat down on the stool and saw how many people were around. He had no clue as to how he would find the right table. Maybe the one that cheered the loudest. But he would be so nervous he wouldn't remember. Stefan felt quite scared as the hat was placed on his head. He wondered if the hat would see through his mind in colour or not. Mr. hat, I'm completely colourblind, as you could maybe tell. Tell me which table is the one that belongs to my house so I don't get it wrong. Stefan thought. Waiting to be told his fate.

"You'll know by the cheers. SLYTHERIN!"

Jennifer smiled as her name was called. Her big moment had come. She stood up and glanced at her friends around her, who encouraged her, and then made her way up to the stool. She wasn't nervous, except that she didn't want to be put in Hufflepuff. Girly girls annoyed her. She was definately a Gryffindor. It was in her blood.
She sat on the stool, keeping very still as the hat was placed on her head. It was warm, probably from all the other children's heads, though she was one of the earliest people to get sorted.
She smiled as she heard the hat speak, and closed her eyes.
Gryffindor, Gryffindor, Gryffindor, Gryffindor, she chanted in her head, and waited for the hat to call a different house and dissapoint her.

"ALRIGHT! Calm yourself. It's GRYFFINDOR!"

As the line entered the great hall, Gil's mouth fell open and he gaped around at the massive hall. He stared at the children sat at the four benches, eying up their plates hungrily before looking ahead. Peering around the line, he looked at each professor, laughing when one suddenly exclaimed she was pregnant to the whole hall. They seemed fun, though some looked a little stricter than others. He continued to look around the hall, feeling a grin spread across his face as he spotted the first example of magic above him; Floating candles. It was so cool! Gil glanced at the boy behind him, who looked decisively ill, and gave him a thumbs up.

A voice filled the hall and he peered around the line again, trying to find the source of the sudden singing. To his surprise, it was a battered old hat voicing the words and he laughed, nudging his new 'friend' and pointing at it. In response, he was shushed and he made a zipping movement with his hand, continuing to look around the hall. Gil half listened to the words of the hat, listening to the descriptions of the different houses. Ravenclaw sounded too academic for him.Hufflepuff sounded like a group of wusses. Still, Loyalty was important. And slytherin sounded awful. Cunning and ambitious. No, he'd already decided, the house of the brave and bold was definitely for him. Gryffindor. He'd better be in Gryffindor. It sounded the most fun.

Impatiently, Gil continued to peer around the line as children got called up. Apparently the hat was deciding their houses for them. He grinned as one girl made her way over to the Gryffindor table. She'd probably be one of his new friends soon. Gil's heart fell as he realised it was alphabetical order. Why oh why did his name have to begin with a W? Williams? He was always the last to be called up for anything. He grinned encouragingly as the nervous boy behind him stumbled up to the hat, leaving him standing alone amongst a huddle of other children. There weren't many left now. Six or seven.

And then finally! "Williams, Gilbert" His name. Finally! With a broad grin, he half walked half dashed towards the hat, almost stumbling in his haste to get to it. Gil collapsed into the chair and grabbed the hat, cramming it on his head. Sort me quickly He demanded of it, tapping his feet against the wooden floor. Gil needed to know which house he was in. He couldn't stand the discomfort of waiting. He wanted to find out his house now with no delays!

"I don't take orders. Now let me take a look here. Hush up and sit still. Quiet your thoughts. Merlin. Right then. What have we here? Ah. It's just as I suspected. Oh? What did I suspect? Same thing you've been dreaming of, actually. GRYFFINDOR!"

Today was it. Mylie was now in a room with many others that shared the magical ability that she possessed. She knew better than to think that they all acted the same though. Some of the students here would probably not find her at all lively and then some might find her more than entertaining. At least that was what the young eleven year old was hoping. The other unsorted children around her bustled around like small twitchy rodents as they took in the Great Hall as a whole. Mylie decided that she really liked the look of this place. Living in a Castle compared to the tropical beaches in Hawaii made her feel almost like a Princess living a fairytale. Only there was no beautiful dress or a prince charming involved. That seriously ruined her fun for a moment there. "Oh sorry!" Mylie apologized quickly under her breath when she mistakenly nudged a boy with her bony elbow as she made her way passed them. The boy threw her a dirty look anyhow. She wondered house he was from and hoped that they wouldn’t end up in the same house. Her mother told her a little information on all of the houses at Hogwarts and it was much to take in. Mylie knew that she didn't want to get that Slytherin house though. Who would want to live in a house filled with prejudice children? Surely not Mylie. The group stopped in heap I front of some hat. This must be that amazing sorting hat that was going to tell Mylie what house she belonged in. Her fate was pretty much in that hat right now, what would she, he, it, whatever it was, decide for her?

"Thoreau, Mylie!" Mylie froze and let her brown eyes grow big and wide. A flurry of heads all turned to look at her. Her heart was racing, her palms sweaty, why the hell were they all looking at her? The person that was standing next to her used her arm to nudge Mylie and tell her that it was her time to go up and get sorted. She swallowd and nodded her small head. Mylie sidled her way passed the students and right to where the hat was sitting and waiting for her. She sat down and winced when she felt the hat placed onto her head. Oh god the hat was alive! "I really hope this hat knows what it's doing, I want to go someplace where others will like me and want to be my friend. Please oh please!" Mylie's thoughts were racing like a race car. She couldn't wait for the hat to tell her maybe where she belonged.

"I'd say I know what I'm doing. Now, calm down and hurry over to the house of... HUFFLEPUFF!"

Aila practically hung off of Blakes hand as they walked into the huge hall. There were a lot of people looking at them and that just made her cling onto her 'twin' harder. She listened as everyone went up and a hat shouted out where they were going. In her mind she got slightly annoyed at their daddy who had told them they would have to prove their magical abilities. She stopped herself getting too annoyed, reminding herself he had only been joking, and turned her attention back to the sorting.
"Kallie, Aila"
Aila forgot that her own name was before Blake's. She was reluctant to let go of him but she didn't want to annoy the teacher so she made her way to the stool. She felt nervous as the hat was placed on her blonde hair and she looked over to Blake. She relaxed when she saw his small nod and smile. They were so different from each other but they were so good together.

Aila jumped slightly when the hat began to speak. She hadn't expected it to respond to her, let alone her thoughts. She listened to it's words, responding politely to whatever she heard.

"You could fit in a few houses. You'll find all the opportunities you need, though, in RAVENCLAW!"

Schyler walked nervously into the Great Hall with the rest of her classmates, looking around at where she would be spending the next seven years of her life. She noticed the ceiling looked exactly like the sky outside, and wondered to herself how the Hogwarts staff managed to do that. Before she knew it, the headmaster's speech was finished and another professor was calling names. She heard familiar names being called, names of kids she had met on the train. All too soon, she heard "Johnson, Schyler!" Sky strolled casually to the three legged stool with the funny looking talking Hat on it, and sat down graciously as the professor reading off the names lifted the Hat and put it on her head. It went almost to her nose, and she smiled widely, amused. Then the Hat spoke...
"RAVENCLAW!"

Crystal was extremely pleased to be at school. She was a little annoyed at the fact that she was in Cold and rainy New Zealand. But Crystal would put up with it. For her daddy, who wanted her to come to this school instead. Crystal was ready for school. Not really to learn but to have a bit of fun. She was smiling to herself as the doors to the great hall opened and Crystal followed the others in her year inside. She was not bothered by the hall itself, but rather by the people around her. Obviously she had to pick who she wanted to be friends with. Obviously Crystal had work her way up the social ladder, but she knew she would need a few close friends to help her along. Friends that would understand the value of Friendship and never throw it back in her face. Because if they did, Crystal would bring them down. Crystal smiled to herself as the year reached the front and everyone was gearing up for the sorting.

After being sung to, something Crystal had not expected, the list began. The long list of names, of the people in her year. Crystal wasn't an entirely patient person. Back in Texas, Crystal got what she wanted, within the hour, if it was possible. Here, she had to wait. Butterflies fluttering endlessly in her stomach. Making her feel very sick. Hayden, Crystal Crystal name was called. She wondered why her middle name hadn't been called. It was not that important, but Crystal had wanted it to be called. It would have shown to everyone, that she was not some New Zealand girl. The blonde walked up and sat down upon the stool. She smiled happily and waited for the hat to be placed on her head. She wasn't entirely bothered where she ended up. She just knew that Ravenclaw was not the house for her. She wasn't at all studious. She was the completely opposite. But Crystal had faith, in that the hat would make the right choice.

"SLYTHERIN!"

Jamie heard his name echo across the great hall and with a look of pure confidents he stood from his seat and walked to the front of the room and sat down on the lone stool. His thoughts were wild as he tried to figure which house he would want to be in he had heard the hat may take his wishes into consideration, but both gryfindor and slytherin seem best in his eyes but only the hat would decided and with that Jamie would serve his house as he strived to be the best he could be.

"Your desire to protect those who can't protect themselves points you to GRYFFINDOR!"

Georgiana stood next to her brother and the friends they've made on the way over on the train. One of the professors was going on and on about what was going to happen inside the two large doors, where the rest of the school sat waiting for the sorting to also begin. Georgiana however didn't pay attention having already read about the sorting in the multiple books she bought from the nearest wizard town back home. Then the doors opened wide and the large group she was in began to move forward, once inside her smile became even wider as she saw the hall. She stood in amazement of the room for sometime as others were sorted before her. "Night, Georgiana," a voice said. She glanced at her brother then walked up to the stool and sat down. As she listened to hat go through her head exploring her past and possible future she smiled, not caring where she went, but hoped the people would be nice to her.

"Your sense of adventure makes you an obvious GRYFFINDOR!"

Kayden Night stood among his classmates at the front of the Great Hall. Everyone around him was excited and he contained his excitement, being more nervous then anything. Kayden watched as his sister was called up and he waited for his name to be called out, becoming more nervous. "Night, Kayden." It was his turn, so he walked forward and up the stairs to the stool. He kept his eyes on the back of the Great Hall, on the doors, not wanting to look too nervous by looking at the ground. He wanted to prove to everyone he could be brave, but mostly he wanted to prove to Georgiana he was growing up, and wasn't going to be the shy kid he has always been.

"While you may not want to be that shy kid anymore, you're still quite shy, and your kindness puts you in HUFFLEPUFF!"

Lena was smiling brightly as she proceeded gracefully into the Great Hall with the other eleven year olds. It was her time of the year and she couldn't help but smile all the way in and through the Headmistresses speech, snickering loudly at the folly. As everyone else here today, she was excited, mildly expressed, but at least she could control her mood and feelings, unlike someone in her rear. She hid her mouth with her hand teasingly and gave her head a shake after the snicker. Now, that was funny but she thought she shouldn't push it too hard, lest it become her downfall, and she wouldn't want that, right?

Looking over her shoulder she saw naturally her sister, standing back there looking nervous, well, nervous was too mild for her, she looked positively ill. Perhaps it was the lack of food now, but alas, she should've kept it better.
Smiling for herself, she returned to the front as the Sorting Hat finished the song and the first persons had started settling themselves by the House-tables after being sorted. Soon enough though it was her turn and with a "Segerstedt, Lena!" she proceeded as gracefully as ever up to the stool and settled down gently. With the Hat placed on her head, she smiled quietly and said in her mind: 'Anywhere but the dorks... Anywhere.'

"None of the houses are for dorks, young witch. If it weren't for each house's creator you wouldn't have a school which you think of as an 'excellent opportunity.' So be happy where I put you. Now, you belong in SLYTHERIN!"

Blake smiled as he felt his 'twin' have his hand in a death grip. He watched as she was sorted and smiled. Aila could be such a worry wart, he knew she craved his approval and was determined to always give it to her. He didn't want to control her actions like she usually wanted him to. It did get sort of annoying.

He smiled as she shook her way over to the table she had been sorted to and listened as his name was next. He made his way up, thinking of how she had believed their dad when he had told them about the test. He sat on the stool and waited for the hat. He knew that it would talk to him but he still jumped when he heard the voice. He was polite as possible but he didn't like the thought of something that could just surf through everything in his head.

"Well 'surfing' through your head is the best way to figure out who you are to sort you, isn't it? Now, you're not the brightest, but you could be a great leader. Hmmm. How about GRYFFINDOR!"

Sean walked up to the sorting hat, it was finnally his turn! He was very nervous, and therefore sweaty, but that was okay, he had gone through worse. The hat was placed upon his head, all there was left to do was wait.

"Your wisdom places you with Rowena in RAVENCLAW house."

Lolli's hands twisted and turned together, making them red compared to her paler complexion. All of her things were waiting, and she was nervously writhing in the crowd. Lolli wasn't one to be this nervous, and when she was a Lollipop would calm her nerves. Unfortunately, she didn't have any, so she had to find other ways to keep herself from shaking to bits. One by one the children were called up to the chair, a hat sat on their head. A talking hat, that was. Lolli had never met a talking hat before, and she admitted to herself that it was very freaky. Second by second, the older kids watched as children joined the houses. She sighed a big sigh, that was really just heavy breathing, before her name was called. Her aqua orbs got big, and she took another deep breath.

You can do this, Lolli., she told herself over and over again. If she convinced herself, maybe she wouldn't be so nervous. On her way up, she stumbled a bit, a rosey color spreading onto her cheeks. She felt like crying, what a goof up she had made; and with the whole school watching! Nobody saw that, it's okay Lolli. She continued on, sitting on the old stool, and glancing over the large crowd, before the hat was placed on her head to blind her. Am I supposed to tell you what I want? She thought to the hat quietly. Well, I want a nice house, but nothing too wimpy... I guess. I'm not picky, really. I-I'm just a bit nervous, you see. I tend to ramble when I am. I'm sorry. I'll be quiet now. Lolli had never really known herself to be nervous like this, and she squeezed the material of her clothing, preparing for the hat to tell her she was too stupid to be in this school. though, she hoped it wouldn't.

"RAVENCLAW!"

Giselle tugged anxiously on her new Hogwarts Robes, biting her bottom lip as she struggled to stay up on her tip toes long enough to see the Head Mistress as she talked and started the Sorting Ceremony. Giselle had been looking forward to this day for some time now although it had been pushed to the back of her mind for while now as she had more things to worry about after being adopted. She knew her new parents at their best intentions at heart but she still found herself not completely warmed up to them, no matter how hard she tried they just weren't her family. Grezhen was doing a much better job than Gaspard ever did and Brunhilde was more of a mother figure than she ever had; she figured it would just take time.

As she looked around the Hall and watched all her fellow first years get sorted she saw Aiden and tried to get his attention. She loved that she had finally gotten to school and would be able to see him whenever she wanted and while they both had different last names now they were still brother and sister and she still loved him dearly. After she got to see him she let her crystal blue eyes scanned the rest of the Hall as she waited for her name to be called out. After scanning for a few moments her bright faced dulled considerably as she saw Joceline sitting at the Slytherin table, she seemed so smug sitting there, Giselle just couldn't stand the sight of her. After waiting for a while and with the number of students left to be sorted had gone down considerably she wondered why she had yet to be sorted.

Varius, Giselle.

She looked and waited for the girl who had been called out to walk forward then she remembered why she hadn't been sorted yet, she was no longer Giselle Lorka. Sighing she lowered her head and walked forward to the front of the hall. Walking up the few steps she looked at all the Professor's, her eyes wide with nervousness. Turning around she sat on the small stool and felt the Head Mistress setting the ancient hat on her head. Aiden had told her all about his experience of being sorted and how the hat had been right on the mark for him so she knew that he would do the same for her. To be honest she didn't know where she belonged. Of course she would love to be in Gryffindor with her brother Aiden and she would hate to be in Slytherin with Joceline, but in the end it wasn't her choice.

"Let's give you what you want. Hogwarts can always use another Gryffindor/Slytherin personal rivalry. That's right. GRYFFINDOR!"

Isaia was nervous, to say the very least. First of all, he was attending school with his twin sisters, one in Slytherin and the other in Hufflepuff. Isaia truthfully did not know what house he would receive. The small Italian boy was scared, but in an odd way, he was excited as well. His pure innocent eyes took in the moments around him, seeing the houses in colors of red, blue, green and yellow. Those were the houses, and Isaia had long forgotten the names of the red and the blue. Isaia bit his lip as the names were starting to be called up there, only making his heart pound with more intensity than before. He was unsure if he wanted to see where he would end up. Isaia was also excited on where he would go as well. After seeing some students get sorted, he heard the other two houses' names, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. They seemed like respectable houses after that hat's song. Isaia heard his name being called and he took a deep breath. Slowly, he walked up to the podium and he took a seat. The hat engulfed his head and his squinted his eyes closed. Never had he been more scared of where he could end up than he was now.

"They're all respectable houses, but you do need one you'll appreciate, too. Hmmm... How about... RAVENCLAW!"
