As Ryan stumbled into St. Mungo's with his hair singed, clothes slightly ripped and burnt in random places, a bleeding palm, and maybe a somewhat splinched leg or foot - he couldn't tell, he decided that Nora must absolutely, never, ever find out about this. Ever. She will never let him live this down. Or she might just give up on him completely and break up with him. Nope. Until this day, he'd only been having trouble with regular animals. Spiders, monkeys, snakes, maybe a bear. Nothing magical about them. Apparently, he'd only been lucky up until this day. Or maybe it was cause he was finally in New Zealand after months upon months of being away. Either way, his girlfriend - his magizoologist girlfriend - must never find out that when she'd left him alone in camp for the day, he'd encountered flame-throwing smoke, which just makes no sense. They looked like smoke. How were they throwing fireballs at him? That just wasn't fair. And to top it all off when he'd finally escaped that, he'd just been catching his breath and put his hand on a tree. A tree that had what was apparently a snail with spikes. A spiked snail. Which was awesome. But also why? It would have been even more awesome if it hadn't cut his palm bloody. Though maybe it was his fault since he wasn't looking where he put his hand. It didn't take long for him to feel a bit hot and maybe a little woozy. And then apparently he'd not escaped the smoke things. He'd run away quickly after that before realizing that he was a wizard that could apparate. Which he probably should not have done since he'd just been poisoned by a snail of all things. And now here he was in the Creature-Induced Injuries Floor. "Healer?" he croaked out and he wondered if it would be acceptable for him to pass out right here.

Zennon was back on the ward after a bit of a hiatus to deal with some personal issues that had come up, but he was so glad to be back. Sometimes he couldn't believe he'd been away with how quickly and easily he seemed to have fallen back into his work. He'd seen a multitude of patients today ranging from minor snake bites to blast ended skrewt burns, but nothing so strange or ridiculous as what awaited him today as he walked into the room. A man had called for a healer and as Zennon had just finished up with his previous patient, he'd wandered out to find the man almost looking like he was about to pass out. Zennon hopped quickly over to his side and carefully pulled his arm around his shoulders to walk him over to the chair that was empty. He didn't look good and so Zennon pulled his wand out to pass it over the man checking the diagnostics results. If he wasn't mistaken, just eyeballing this guy, he looked like he'd walked right into a nest of fire crabs or salamanders or something fiery. Looking at his wand told him that it appeared he'd been attacked by a streeler and was that a hinkypunk? Did they even have hinkypunks in New Zealand? Merlin, a decade later and Zennon was thinking back to Care of Magical Creatures classes with Professor Faye to see if he could remember. Shaking his head he decided it wasn't really all that important right now and set about to working on the burns and poison clearly giving the guy some grief. "Okay buddy, just relax for me, you look like you've been through the wringer," he said, summoning a couple of potions to his hand and placing them down on the table. "Drink this one," he handed him a green tinged potion, "it'll help." Then he could set about figuring out what the heck happened.

Zara enjoyed her work. She hadn't expected to get into the line of work that she did, but she supposed that in some way, she was her mother's daughter. A photographer. That's what she'd decided to be after graduating from school. It had been weird at first, being away from everybody with only the occasional letter and short visit, but she supposed she needed that too. Now, at 22, she was a lot more confident than she was compared to four years ago. She'd seen quite the sights, some muggle, and some magical as she took on projects here and there. It had been a good way to build her portfolio and now she could take on projects as she wished instead of just taking any that came her way.

This week, Zara had been wrapping up the last of her project in Australia. She'd been planning to visit New Zealand and had finally gotten the time for it. She'd even already procured the portkey she needed. In fact, she was due to return today. She had already packed up her stuff and had it all shrunk into the backpack she carried. The only thing unpacked was the wand strapped to her leg, and the camera hanging from her neck. She'd been taking photos of some of the wildlife when she'd accidentally stumbled on what was apparently billywig territory. How did she find out? Well. She was stung just as she was taking a photo. And where there was one billywig, there was generally more. Zara did not waste any more time and activated her portkey, but not before getting stung by another. Thankfully, her portkey took her straight to the Main Entrance of the Ministry of Magic. By the time she reached the floo, she was already giggling at all the silly outfits of the wizards around her. She'd barely stepped out of the Creatures-Induced Injuries floor at St. Mungo's before her feet had lifted off the ground and she was giggling. She was
"flyiiiiing. This was amaaaaaziiiiiing." She didn't realize she was saying this all out loud while giggling to herself.

"Hiii," Ryan said to the healer who had dragged him onto a chair. That was good. That was great! Because he didn't think he could take one more step really without any help. Nora really shouldn't find out about this. "Ow lung ill dis beee? (How long will this be?)" he tried to ask the really nice healer as he drank the potion rather sloppily, a few drops escaping. He hoped that wasn't terribly important. But it was kind of hard to focus. But he knew that he had to get back to camp because his girlfriend would be worried! Especially since he had been told to stay put but he hadn't been able to stay put because he saw smoke and he followed it but it could apparently throw fire and now he's in St. Mungo's and was that his sister? "I ting I see tings like fly see stars, (I think I see things like flying sisters)" he grins as he points to his floating sister. He doesn't see what's funny because he was tired and she was flying. Next thing he knows he'll see Liv. Or James. Or dad. Which would be weird. But seeing Zara was weird cause he hadn't seen her in years (an exaggeration since he'd just seen her on their birthday) but there they were. And what happened to her hair? Was she blonde? Weird. Maybe that wasn't his sister.

James didn’t see his siblings often unless it was theirs, or their father’s birthday so he was surprised when he received an owl to tell him his brother was at St Mungos due to a creature induced injury. He wasn’t sure if he was more surprised by the injury or the fact he was Ryan’s emergency contact. Ryan was lucky that James had been in New Zealand at the time which made it significantly easier for him to get to the hospital. He flooed to the hospitals visitor entrance and gave his name to the receptionist who pointed him in the direction of the magical creatures injury ward.

Having worked with magical creatures for a few years James was no stranger to the odd nick and bruise from a magical creature but he’d so far in his career not ended up in hospital. It begged the question how Ryan had, what information was he missing on his brothers life that would have brought him to this point? A lot, probably. Once arrived on the ward he also saw Zara seemingly trying to make her way onto the ward having arrived by floo. “Merlin, you too?” James grabbed hold of her and carried her into the ward. “Healer?” he called hoping to get someones attention. What was wrong with his siblings?

"Hi," Zennon answered as his patient seemed to try and start a conversation with him. He wasn't sure it was going to be a particularly long conversation seeing as he didn't think the man would be able to focus all that well once the potions really got into his system. All of the wards were busy today, but it seemed the creatures ward was the busiest. He'd taken his lunch on potions and plant poisoning ward just so he could have a minute to himself, and even that had been really busy. Was there a full moon this week? He hadn't even been able to take his full lunch, man, he was starving. It was near the end of his shift too, he should have known something like this was going to happen. "I can't say right now," he said when the guy asked him how long this would be. He wasn't even entirely sure what was actually wrong with the guy and so he had to figure that out first. The streeler poison is his main concern, and he made a note to ask one of the trainees to pop down to the poisons section to restock after this because they didn't have a lot of streeler antivenom left. He frowned and looked over his shoulder at the mention of someone flying and cursed under his breath. There was indeed a girl floating but he calmed his stroll a little as she was picked up by someone who seemed to know her, if his remark was anything to go by. "What, more?" was he the only one on the creatures wards today or what? Zennon headed over to the new arrivals, grabbing the woman's hand and looking her over, yep, billywig. Harmless, for the most part, but she'll be a little delirious for a while.

"Bring her over here," he said, gesturing to the man to seat her next to his fiery patient. His healers robes flowed out behind him as he flicked his wand at the cabinets summoning something for the woman's killer headache she was about to get. He couldn't stop her floating, billywig tended to have short term effects. "I recommend getting her a pair of cement shoes for the next several hours," he said, casting a sticking charm on her so she didn't float off of the chair. "Alright, you," he stands in front of the third man. "What's wrong with you then?" he asked, eyes scanning over him to see if he can find what's wrong with him, as he waved his wand for diagnostics.
