Slytherin Quidditch Practise S1

The rain was coming down hard and Sapphire found herself shivering with the cold. She was going to need to find onyx after this and cuddle back her warmth.

Liam was not really liking the rain. He hated getting wet and it didn't made it easier. He continued to fly around and tried to protect the ones he needed.

Blake pressed on, the flashing of rain every now and again distracting him as he cast his eyes around for the snitch.

The combination of wind and rain was making it hard to find anything let alone the snitch.

Jai scanned the pitch and was quite grateful when Derek was flying near him. His aim was improving but not by much on such a trying weather. Making a decision, the younger boy made the decision to pass to the older player. Maybe they’d actually score this way.

Derek caught the ball as the younger boy passed it to him. He wasn't sure how productive they were able to be against this wind and rain. The ball was particularly slippy, but he held firm with his grip upon it. He just pressed forward with the ball tucked under his arm.

Daintree felt it was dumb to practice in this weather, he could barely see in front of him, and his ears rung from the wind, but he wasn't going to complain, not as an alternate. He just needed to focus and try to hit a bludger, if only he could see them better.

Liam could barely see a thing. And that made it dangerous a bit. He tried to find Leda and Blake so that he could protect them from bludgers. Because he had no luck yet with something.

Well, this was certainly turning out to be challenging.

Even with her goggles charmed it was hard to see through the battering rain, and it took more effort than usual too to not sway in the wind.

Liam went further, a bludger was closing in on him he heard the noice and he swung it away from Leda. He aimed for Derek but instead it hit Sapphire. Liam grinned for a moment, glad he was able to hit something.
Your action (hit) was successful!
...but the bludger went off course, and you hit another player, instead!

Due to the strengths of the rain, Leda couldn't hear too much which meant the dodging bludgers was made even harder. She just had to hope she wasn't going to be struck out of no where.

Derek got closer to the goals and aimed his shot. The ball slipped a little weakly from his hands, the rain covered it, and it went of course and missed the hoops entirely. He groaned frustratedly.

Daintree hoped that they wouldn't have to do much more, this was pointless, he didn't think he could ever get better at this sport if he couldn't see two feet in front of him.

Liam continued to fly but no luck after his hit.

Mordred had difficulty catching the quaffle, even if it was far of. The wind was blowing against him, but he used as much strength as he could to throw the quaffle back out toward the chasers.

Jasper really hated the rain, but knew better than to complain when others weren't either. He had been following Derek to the hoops, and grabbed the quaffle after the older boy didn't score. He flew off with it quickly.

Flying on and looking all around him for any sign of anything, Blake felt himself begin to shiver. He was used to playing in the cold after years of hockey, but this rain was entirely new.

It seemed that not many people were having luck in their roles, but Leda didn’t blame them. It was exhausting just to stay on the right path.

Jasper flew back to the hoops with the Quaffle and threw it at the middle hoop as hard as he could. He grinned when he realized he had managed to score, whooping. "Yes!"

Leda didn’t even hear Jasper when he scored, the sound of the rain over powering everything. She could only hope their next game wouldn’t be like this.

Jasper was able to make a shot, and a part of Mordred was proud. He could see his friend was gaining more skill. Mordred threw the quaffle back into play.

Liam wasn’t having any luck he missed a bludger completly and felt irritated again.

Leda saw a bludger coming straight for her head, and in a moment of panic ducked quickly, feeling it rush over the top of her. She was glad she had the reflexes to dodge them, and even if she wasn't always successful, she didn't really feel like taking a trip back to the hospital wing any time soon.

Leda took a moment to pause in the air, getting her bearings and peering through the rain to see how the others were handling it.
