Slytherin Quidditch Practice

Kimmy was barely aware that her team were being hit left right and centre but bludgers as she headed for the hoops. Attempting to score though, the muscles in her arm gave out as she released the ball, causing the Quaffle to head off slightly to the side and easily be caught by the Keeper. No doubt she would need to do better at feeling the pain of the iron balls at to not feel its effects so intensely.

As Charlotte watched the quaffle be thrown back out she saw a bludger from Antonio out of the corner of her eyes being sent Sara's way. She frowned at the fact she had been hit twice already. One more time would mean Sara was out and Charlotte didn't want the practice to end that quickly for her. The captain followed Kim as she approached the hoops to score and suddenly became confronted by another bludger that hit her in her left shoulder. Wincing, Charlotte looked to Asaiah who had hit it towards her and gave him a slight thumbs up, letting him know she was okay. It wasn't good that Kim also failed to score but Charlotte wanted to change this as she took the quaffle back.

After not performing well in the last practice it was no surprise to her that Charlotte had chosen another alternate to play in the match so this time she wanted to do better to improve her performance. When Stella arrived at practice, she flew the laps that Charlotte instructed them to and then kept to herself as she waited for the practice match to begin. Once she was up in the air, she saw how all the bludgers were flying everywhere hitting players repeatedly, but that was to be expected given how many beaters they had. So far she hadn't hit any of her own, still unsure of her aim and thought perhaps she should ask one of the Beaters on the team for a private session, though she didn't know if her brother's best friend would want to train her, so perhaps Odette would be a better choice. Girls gotta stick together, Stella thought to herself as she flew around in search of bludgers to block in the mean time.

Charlotte flew towards Hayden's hoops, hoping to get one in for the practice but also hoping that Hayden would be able to block it. Either way, Charlotte didn't really mind. She threw the quaffle towards the left hoop and watched as it went straight through. She beamed, happy that she managed to get it in. Hayden was a good player and Charlotte hoped this didn't put him off.

Odette couldn't help but smile slightly when she saw that their captain had scored a goal despite Hayden's attempt to block it. She nearly missed a bludger coming at her, and ducked only just in time. Scowling, she cursed herself. She couldn't get distracted now.

Asaiah was glad that Charlotte hadn't missed after his bludger hit her and continued to look around for one to hit again.

Odette attempted once again to hit a bludger, but failed to catch up with it in time. As it sped away, she missed hitting it by an inch. She sighed deeply before turning in mid-air to chase after the other bludger in play.

Everyone seemed to be on fire that day, and Kimmy was pleased to see that they were doing so well, now if only she could keep up. Grabbing the Quaffle once again after Charlotte managed to score, she tucked it back under her arm and headed towards the hoops, trying not to get hit on the way.

When Asaiah saw that Odette missed the bludger by inches, he decided to go after it himself. He leaned forward to make himself go faster, and when he was close enough swung hit bat against it. He aimed the iron ball at Charlotte once again and watched as it soared over towards her.

Odette watched in surprise as Asaiah hit the bludger she had missed, and how he had aimed it at the captain again. She flew over to him with a slight smirk on her face. "If you have a problem with Charlotte, perhaps you should talk to her instead of trying to kill her." She joked, shaking her head. She didn't really think that was the case, but she couldn't help teasing her fellow beater a little.

Charlotte kept alert as she watched Kimmy take the quaffle and start flying to the other side of the pitch. She stayed close to her for support, hoping that she would get it in. However, as Charlotte felt another hit to her side, she gripped onto her broom tightly, trying her best not to lose balance. The words from Odette made her chuckle. "Yeah Asaiah, what's your problem?" she added, laughing. She was glad that Asaiah was hitting bludgers and knew he wouldn't take the joking too seriously.

He slowed down once he noticed that Odette was heading his way and listened to what she had to say. At the same moment, their captain also joined in. ''I don't have a problem with you, I'm just playing fair, you know, as you instructed me to do.'' Her comment at the start of the practice had definitely annoyed him. He had failed to play fair once, during his first ever match for the Slytherin Quidditch team four years ago because he wanted to impress his captains back then but that was four years ago and after that, he had never broken any of the rules again. He flew away from the two and saw a bludger speeding off towards him. Smirking, Asaiah did what he did best, which was hitting bludgers. For the third time this training session, the Slytherin aimed for his captain

Odette saw to her surprise that Asaiah flew off to hit another bludger at Charlotte. She hoped Charlotte wasn't going to be legitimately hurt by this. It would be a big loss for the actual match. She soon was distracted by another bludger hurtling in her direction. She managed to hit it, watching as it sailed in the direction of Antonio, another alternate beater. It seemed like bludgers were very dangerous today.

Stella wasn't having as much luck hitting bludgers like the other beaters were, though that was no surprise they were good since they were the official beaters of the team. Still, as she chased after a bludger to try and hit it, she noticed one heading towards their captain again during practice, and in such a short amount of time since the last time. Since it was also her duty to defend the players, Stella did the next best thing to hitting a bludger away and managed to fly in front of the oncoming bludger to stop it from hitting Charlotte. Stella hissed as the ball hit her side hard, but gritted her teeth and gave their captain a weak thumbs up to encourage her to keep playing the game.

After being hit by a second bludger, Charlotte made sure to be on the lookout more. She didn't want the game to end too quickly, but was also more focused on keeping open in case Kim needed to pass the quaffle. Charlotte almost fell off her broom when she noticed another bludger coming towards her, but Stella had quickly taken the hit and Charlotte took a sigh of relief, smiling over at her as she gave her the thumbs up. "Thanks!" she exclaimed, continuing her fly to the other side of the pitch.

He watched as Stella soared towards the bludger he had aimed towards their captain and shook his head when she flew in front of it. Perhaps some of Wyatt's idiocy had rubbed off on his little sister because you had to be crazy to do what she just did. From the corner of his eyes, he saw a bludger coming straight for him. Asaiah braced himself and took a swing at the iron ball. It didn't hit the person closest to him, which was Hayden at the moment, but instead saw that it went off course towards Sara.

Kimmy heard the shouts behind her as a bludger met another student, but she focused only on that she needed to get another goal. Flying to the hoops she tossed in through the middle goal, but frowned as it was caught once again. Clearly their keepers had been practising, and the seventh year only hoped she'd do better in the real match.

Hayden had to admit he was quite amused by the arguing between his teammates but that didn't stop him from making a save when Kimmyeon threw the quaffle toward the middle hoop. He caught it easily and threw it back into play.

Asaiah went on to fly circles around the pitch when he couldn't find anything to hit, trying to spot one of them so he could do something with it.

Odette had to admit it was unexpected of Stella to intercept the bludger like that. Perhaps the girl hoped that actions like this would make Charlotte more likely to put her on the team for the next game? Or perhaps Odette was being cynical. As she was thinking it over, a bludger zoomed past her. As if by instinct, she flew after it and hit it with her bat. The bludger sailed in the direction of Asaiah. She felt a little bad, but if he could hit others he should be able to be hit himself too.
