Slytherin Quidditch Practice

Morrie kept her eyes locked on the snitch darting around. She tried to make a grab for it and... missed!

Oskar swung and managed to hit a bludger but his aim was off and it hit no one.

Enoch flew forward and grabbed the quaffle after Summer didn't score.

Morrie was furious that the snitch had got away! She looked around but couldn't see it anywhere.

Enoch attempted to score again but ended up missing.

Ignatius was annoyed at the snitch but relieved the other seeker hadn't caught anything.

Morrie resumed her circuit around the pitch, an angry expression lingering on her face. The notion that anyone could find this enjoyable was beyond her.

If Ignatius was a better person, he might have felt some solidarity with Morrie. But instead he was just flipping between being pleased she wasn't succeeding and being annoyed that he wasn't.

Ignatius wondered if the captain had even released the snitch. Probably hadn't.

Morrie did not catch the snitch, no surprise there.

Neither did Ignatius, which also was unsurprising.

Morrie found herself pondering the existence of the snitch that she failed to catch. As she delved deeper into her thoughts, she wondered that perhaps she, too, was nothing more than a fabricated concept, existing only within the confines of someone else's imagination.

Ignatius had no such self reflective capabilities, though he was close to throwing a tantrum.

Morrie may well join in with the tantrum.

Morrie was so mad, seething in fact! That bloody snitch giving her the fly around. She didn't even want to play any more, drawing a deep breath, about to declare that she was quitting the team, when she saw it. She actually saw the snitch! With a swift swerve, Morrie dived, and zoomed towards it. She reached out and grasped the snitch in her hand, "Yes, in your FACE!" She shouted at the other Seeker, holding the snitch triumphantly.

Ignatius saw the snitch, but far too late - there was no way he'd get there before that horrible other seeker. And indeed, she caught the snitch. He scowled. "I was being generous," he insisted, his voice not hiding how annoyed he was. "You needed it more than I did." He tried to put his nose in the air and fly around looking for where the snitch might have got off to, but he really did just look like a sore loser.

Morrie laughed unkindly, "You're a terrible liar." She replied, releasing the snitch and watching it for all of a couple of seconds before she lost sight of it again.

The snitch had disappeared so quickly that Ignatius couldn't find it now, much to his frustration.

Morrie took the boys silence as acceptance, happily still celebrating her catch before the excitement wore off. She had not fully resumed looking for the snitch yet.

Oskar searched for a bludger.

Ignatius didn't catch the snitch. The higher power behind him wondered if the captain was doing a bit in the player choices of the Slytherin team, but Ignatius was convinced he was correct in the role.

The thrill of catching the snitch was short lived, Morrie searched, hoping for another sighting.

Did Ignatius catch the snitch? No, of course he didn't.

Oskar missed again.

Morrie circled the pitch, watching her team and thinking about how she was obviously the best player on the Slytherin Quidditch team.
