Ruben was giving his thousandth lap to the pitch but still couldn't find the snitch.

Ruben was definitely not having any more luck, he kept searching the pitch in case he could find the snitch just one last time.

Flying on, Blake was starting to feel like his luck had dried up, and he could see Ruben was having a similar struggle. The snitch must have found a good way to evade them this time around.

Ruben felt a little better that Blake wasn't relentlessly catching the snitch like he was at the beginning. It made him think that maybe not even the best seeker could find the snitch so it should really be well hidden, that only motivated the young Slytherin to keep looking even more.
