Slytherin Quidditch Practice Y37/S1

OOCOut of Character:
Hey all, practice will be finishing up in about 12 hours so we can focus on the match, big thanks to everyone who's been active throughout! Get those last few posts in now to get your characters stats up for the game ;)

Blake sighed when Paige asked about targeting him, shaking his head. "No, I meant what I said! Give it your all!" He called out, only a little bit regretting what he was saying. He didn't especially want to spend the rest of his day in the hospital wing, but if his beaters could show they were capable of that, it would bode very well for the game against Hufflepuff. He tried to focus on finding the snitch, and not think about how satisfying it would be to see Elliot carted off to the hospital.

Nodding at Blake's words, Paige immediately turned around to find a bludger again.

Trying to ignore the aches from his bludger injuries Blake pressed on, desperate to catch the snitch before it got so late he had to call practice. He had never in his life had this much trouble finding the damned thing before, why now?!

Blake flew on, the pain and exhaustion kicking in. He just wanted to catch the snitch once before this practice was over.

Paige thought that she had seen a bludger on the other side of the pitch, but when she looked again, it had vanished.

Blake was on the edge of giving up entirely when he caught sight of a glimmer of gold, shining clearly near the ground. He barely put a second's thought into the maneuver before he was already throwing himself into it, angling his broom near straight down and plummeting into a nosedive at rocket speed. He gripped the broom's handle, ready to pull out of the dive at the last second, when the snitch zipped away, shooting horizontally through the air. Pulling with all his might, Blake snapped his broom out of the dive, heart racing as he rocketed after the ball, one arm extended. The wind burned and his body ached but the adrenaline drove him on, the thump of his heart pulsing through his fist as he finally, finally closed it around the snitch. "WOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Blake shrieked, pulling his broom upwards into a spiral to shake off his momentum, eventually spinning his way to a level stop. He could barely find the air in his lungs to blow his whistle as he lifted it to his lips, giving a sharp blow. "That's how it's done!" Blake panted, adrenaline buzzing through his veins. "We'll call practice there guys, hit the showers."

OOCOut of Character:
Practice is done guys, thanks to everyone who participated! See you all at the match!
