Sixth Years, Lesson Two

"Today sixth years, you'll be learning the spell Incarcerous," He said as he motioned to word on the board. "Can anyone tell me, what this spell does? Let’s see who did the reading for this week." He asked, with a smile. He picked on a student. They answered with thankfully the correct answer, "It conjures ropes, to bind someone." Professor Haden smiled at the kid, before continuing for them. "Or something, let me show you." He said, before, pulling the wand from inside his suit trouser pockets and making a dummy appear from behind the chalkboard.

"Like, with any spell imagining in your head what you want to happen, will help with the success of the spell. Especially in the beginning" He intoned the word Incarcerous firmly, and a mass of thick ropes appeared out of nowhere, wrapping about the inanimate object tightly. He turned to face the students once more. "As you can see, using this spell on objects that do not move is much easier than something that is moving. This spell is quite useful for duelling purposes- and of course, when you want to catch something and detain it. However, while at school, the spell should only be used for supervised duelling purposes. With the exception very possibly of prefects using it on those first years who run around hyped up on sugar." He said, The spell was not to be used lightly. It wasn’t a joke, it wasn’t friendly. He wanted students to know that unless it was a duel being watched by a professor.

"Enough of me," He continued. He waved his wand, and many more dummies appeared. "Push all the desks away and practice! If you don’t get it the first time, try again. If you have any problems raise your hand and I’ll come to help." He said, taking a seat on his desk and sipping his tea as he watched the students practice. "Once you feel you have perfected it, you are welcome to leave. And your homework, before you all rush out of here, is to read the chapter in your charms book on the disillusionment charm."

RP the lesson. Points for answering the question.

June felt that this year was important as ever to score as much points as she could for Slytherin and herself, and get straight O's for her classes and exams. But there were no OWLS, next year she would have her NEWT. And her last year had to be the most important perhaps. So this year was an year of planning ahead and explore things she didn't had done before. Feel thing she hasn't had, perhaps even. And make sure the people who tried something to bring her down and fail, get what was coming for them. And for that she needed to make sure some connections were made.

The blonde made her way to the classroom and found her usual spot in the front of the classroom, smiling shortly to her adoptive father person. Misha told them which spell they would be learning, and June knew already about it. She had prepared and read about it. When he asked an question she quickly raised her hand, hoping he would chose her. He had to. Whatever the rest might think. She smiled as he chose her and answered the question. "It conjures ropes, to bind someone." The blonde said confidently. She watched him demonstrate after. An usefull spell for dueling the professor told them and June would remember that and try it out. She smiled about the comment of being exceptional as an prefect. And watched around the class for an moment and back to Misha. She pushed away her desk as he told too and took her wand out. June stood towards an dummy and remembered what Misha shown. '' Incarcerous'' the blonde said clearly and focused on what she wanted to achieve, a mass of thick ropes appeared and went to her dummy. June smiled confidently, and tried a few more times to perfect it. And the more she practiced the better it became. Once the lesson was done she left the room with an smile on her face.

Mikael sat near the edge of the classroom while his cousin tried to hide his snickers. The Slytherin could only glare as Misha started the class and introduced the spell they would be learning today. The demonstration of the spell would be helpful in giving him more ideas for visualizing that particular spell. He did raise an eyebrow however at the joke of prefects using the spells on unruly first years. He would much rather use it on Theodore before throwing him to the lake. Very tempting really. As the dummies appeared for them to practice on, Mikael stood, adjusting his robes before walking towards one, wand already in hand. He didn't rush to practice like some of the other students, instead, he looked at the dummy, observing it and imagining a Gryffindor in its place. Image firmly in mind - thick and durable ropes wrapping around its midsection and arms - he flicked his wand, "Incarcerous." The ropes appeared, binding firmly against the dummy, securing it. He took a step towards it, examining the ropes, running his wand against it and deeming the rope durable enough for his taste. Satisfied, he stepped back and gave the professor a curt nod before walking out of the classroom, summoning his things on the way out.

Hinata entered the classroom, taking a seat near Mikael. When Professor Haden began the lesson, her quill hovered over her parchment, taking notes occasionally. The spell Incarcerous was well... it was an interesting spell. Watching the professor demonstrate the spell, she was certainly impressed by how secured someone would be if they ended up getting caught in that. She couldn't help but hide an amused smile behind her hand though at the professor's joke of using the spells on first years. She would definitely not be doing that but still. When it was time to practice, Hinata pushed her desk aside with the others and approached a dummy. Visualizing thick ropes wrapping securely around it, she cast the spell. “Incarcerous,” she intoned, her voice steady. Thick ropes shot out from her wand, but they fell short of fully binding the dummy. Sighing, she adjusted her stance and focused harder on the image of binding it. “Incarcerous,” she repeated, and this time the ropes wrapped snugly around the dummy. She allowed herself a small smile before stepping back. With that done, she left the classroom, satisfied with herself.

Theodore arrived in class, found out they were learning Incarcerous, and had the biggest sh!t-eating grin on his face. Well, if the spell could be used on first years then... He paid careful attention and practiced the spell until he was very confident with it. "Thanks for this prof!" he called out as he ran off.

Bailey was prepared to learn the incarcerous spell, she had been looking forward to it as she could see it being an immensely useful spell, though perhaps not what Professor Haden thought they should be using it for, she didn’t plan on using it for duels rather to shut certain Gryffindors up when they got too mouthy. Once he had explained the incantation and the instructions for the spell dummys appeared for them to practice on. It wasn’t how she wanted to practice the spell but she would take it. Bailey took out her wand and pointed it at her practice dummy, “Incarcerous,” She said confidently. Her extra reading and practice paid off as ropes shot out from her wand and embraced her dummy. She continued to practice until the end of the lesson but she looked around for Theo and caught his attention, raising her eyebrow at him before she left the classroom.

The sixth year Ravenclaw made his way from the Ravenclaw towers. He was dressed well enough to attend classes, and his Ravenclaw robes flowed around him as he made his way down the stairs. In both castles, he had to descend an awful lot of stairs. He was annoyed by it, in either one. At least he was not a lazy lad and could handle the stairs. He also carried the textbooks and parchment light, and just packed what he needed. And, it was good that he did not have too many courses. He had what he wanted to become a healer, and that was all he was putting his effort into.

Loki entered the Charms classroom and sat down in his seat from the previous class. Professor Haden let them know that they would be learning the spell Incarcerous. Professor Haden demonstrated the spell to the sixth years, and gave them a warning. He would not have even thought of that - as he was not immature of course. He got up and approached a dummy. He aimed his wand and immediately started to practice the spell. It came easy to him - though his aim needed some work. He was still tempted to use the spell on @Theodore Nightray but he decided against it for now. Once he had enough, he left the classroom.

Horror Zhefarovich had a few of his textbooks out on his bed after he showered and got dressed. He had a lesson to attend today, and the rest were out for studying later. He looked at the time and day to see which of his classes that he had to attend. Once he figured it out, he grabbed the book and stuffed it into his bag. He had everything else gathered. From notes to wand, there was nothing that he was missing. He slung his bag over his shoulder and left, knowing that he would be there before the other prefect in his dorm. Horror cared more for his classes than Mikael. He had no idea what that meant about him though.

Horror walked in the Charms classroom and settled in. He was already prepared for the lesson ahead. They would be using the binding spell. He felt that would be useful for just about anything or anyone that would get on his nerves. He doubted that Mikael would be one of those people. His boyfriend, maybe. He listened to Professor Haden start the lesson with a question, and then they were shown what the spell does. Then they were free to go practice on the dummies that were around. He could name a few people that could be used in place of dummies, but Horror wouldn't volunteer them. He practiced the spell, though he was bored. He got the spell down, and left when they were free to.
