Background
Sigurd comes from a large mixed blood family. His parents own and run his fathers family business selling herbs, spices and teas to muggles, and secretly out the back, hidden from muggle eyes they sell the same and more from their apothecary to the local magical-folk.

Growing up Sigurd learned much from helping around the shop and reading from his parents trove of books on potion making and all their old school text books whenever it fancied him. Potion making and the idea of alchemy fascinated Sigurd especially. His parents were quite careful and strict in that Sigurd wasn't allowed to actually physically handle anything magical until it was confirmed whether or not he was a wizard. Therefore, knowing magic existed and growing up with magic in the home but never having dabbled in practical, Sigurd grew to appreciate theory. In his own time he also enjoyed exploring the unknown in all senses and forms, be it wandering around landscapes, pages, thoughts, or memories. Always asking questions to then answer, often forgetting all else - including to sleep.

Sigurd enjoys lessons, planned or otherwise. Sigurd tries to be as considerate as he can, but due to his wanderlust he often forgets serious commitments, dates, the time, and what may even be going on around him in the moment. Life is a quest to expand the mind. Up until the age of ten Sigurd did not know nor did he really care whether he was a squib or magical, however he was very relieved and satisfied to find that he was capable of magic - when he managed to save himself from a bit of trouble on one of his adventures by stopping his fall mere inches from the ground.
