History: Shale is the only child of Chert and Natasha Night. Born in Bristol, Shale had a quiet upbringing, her family by and large keeping to themselves. Chert was a potioneer, and Shale enjoyed learning from him, and hanging around his lab, and Natasha instilled a strong love of music in Shale. She was always an introverted child, with strange enough interests that she found it difficult to connect with other children. She had a few friends though, and overall, Shale had a mostly happy childhood, until shortly after her tenth birthday. A tragic accident resulted in the deaths of both of her parents, tearing Shale's world down around her. Her pain channelled into anger over time, and as Shale was taken into foster care, she began to develop a deep anger problem, manifesting in violent outbursts against other kids in foster care. In the hopes of settling her down, Shale's social worker was able to track down family her parents had long been estranged from, and Shale was given into the care of her aunt, Syenite Night. She clashed immediatelyt with her aunt, and her cousin Aegerine, but the situation was permanent. With no family left in the UK, Syenite decided to relocate the family to New Zealand, so that Shale and Aegerine could attend Hogwarts with their second cousins, and hopefully make some connections.Weaknesses: Very Private and Withdrawn, Insensitive, Absent-Minded, Condescending, Loathe Rules and Guidelines, Second-Guess Themselves.
