Chloë had been wondering whether she should have followed the other girls’ leads after their little game in the great hall and ask out Connor to the ball. That was untill she realized she didn’t want to. Not that there was anything wrong with the boy, but she didn’t really know him and they had just been playing a game so why should she? In all honesty Chloë also didn’t feel like she had to prove anything to the other girls. If they would turn out not to like her because of it then they obviously wouldn’t turn out to be good friends either. The youngster wandered towards the hall solo but confident, wearing one of her favourite and comfortable dresses. She had managed to straighten her hair slightly for the occasion, even if she wasn’t quite sure why because she had always preferred it curly. Maybe it was just to show that she had at least tried. The gryffindor made her way into the hall and stopped a few steps after the doors, looking around to see what her plan should be now.

Ajaccio never really made the firmest of plans when it came to the yuleball, he always liked being able to do whatever would be fun, and in the last year that had been with Andy, but this year she was going with someone else, and Ajaccio, decked out ina christmas jumper was looking for something else fun to do. He had made an attempt to tame his hair, but wasn’t particularly good, it remained wild and free, it had had a brush somewhat through it, but itwasn’t ever really enough to stop being itself. But he was looking for something to do, and as he circled back towards the entrance he spotted Chloe, ”Bonjour!” he greeted her with an excited wave. He was quite pleased to see her. He waved excitedly as he walked over. ”You looking for something to do? Because the snack table is just excellent this year!” he told her with an excited expression.

Chloë started to wonder if maybe she should have asked someone to the ball. She had seen some of her friends with dates and it made her curious if it would be more fun. Not like in a date way, but if she were to go with someone as friends than at least she didn’t have to spend her time looking for others. Before she had even started to look around though it seemed like someone else had found her first. “Hi!” She happily greeted Ajax, glad she wouldn’t have to continue wandering in on her own. “I am.” She nodded at him. “Hmm, well I do always seem to find myself at the snack table within the first ten minutes so that might not be a bad idea.” Chloë chuckled. She loved food so the snacks just always seemed very appealing to her. “Which would you recommend?” The gryffindor half-joked. Ofcourse they were just snacks, but she was curious about which one he liked best.

Ajaccio smiled at her when she said that she found herself at the snack table most of the time. He could definitely have a bit of time showing her how good the snacks were. He walked to the side of the table and picked up a little cookie, he held it up and waved his hand in front of it before extending it out, ”This cookie is a perfect blend of yummy and amazing,” he found it so nice to be able to speak french with her, how useful it was to use one of his other languages and she didn’t seem to mind it much at all either. He put the cookie down and picked up what he knew was a pumpkin pasty and held it up to her doing the same exaggerated movement to show off the pasty as he had done with the cookie. ”This pumpkin pasty, a delight for all the senses,” he smiled at her and knew that it was just a little fun. He reached down to the selection and grabbed a cookie for himself, ”The cookies are really good this year,” he told her, switching back to english as he’d said that.

Chloë happily followed Ajax to the snacks table, trying not to laugh about how predictable she was at these parties by always heading there first. “Very haute cuisine.” She nodded along as he was showing off the cookie as if it was a master dish. She was glad the boy must have decided that she was a fun enough person to hang out with, because she was truly enjoying being able to speak french with someone, a fun someone. “Sounds wonderful.” The gryffindor chuckled, not being able to keep a straight face anymore as he presented the snacks like they were special. “Well that’s your opinion.” Chloë responded and looked at the table.. The switch from french to english so normal to her that she almost didn’t even notice. “I’ll just have to find out for myself.” She smiled as she tried to decide which one to go for first.
