Open S1 Y42 Beauxbatons Practice

Ava grimaced when she got hit by a bludger herself, unable to hit it away before it could.
 
Xenia was glad the bludgers didn't hit her...yet. It would only be a matter of time before they did.
 
Vincent continued on his search for the snitch, occasionally dodging players.​
 
Xenia tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, eyes sweeping the pitch.
 
Bellamy kept his eye on the chasers but winced as the beaters started to swing their bats around. As long as they kept their aim off him he wouldn't complain.
 
Vincent hummed to himself as he flew around, though some of his hair got into his eyes, so he had to stop flying to move it. Hair like his was just so untamable. ​
 
Xenia wondered if there was such a thing as aerial yoga, and if she should take it up.
 
Bellamy winced as his leg stared to cramp up. He wasn't used to being on a broom quite this long but he did his best to shake it out before any of the chasers got too close.
 
Claire followed closely behind the older chaser
 
Bellamy kept watch in front of the hoops.
 
Rule 2a

Eren let his eyebrows express his feelings about their upcoming practice, ensuring he looked as dubious as possible whenever Xenia looked his way during her little pre-practice speech. The new kids on the team were a little green so hopefully they could make up for it with energy. Or at least stay out of the way and not be annoying.

He couldn't help but return Xenia's smirk though before they got into the air, hanging back to see what the other new chasers had in them, unsurprised that Ophelia was the only one able to get past the keepers so far. He wasn't going to let her keep doing so however, shooting forward to steal the quaffle from her after she got her hands on it again and turning towards their newest keeper with intent.
 
Xenia focused on Eren once she saw him take possession. Sure, she should be working on keeping an eye on things, but she had to work on being a better player herself, too.
 
Eren didn't waste any time putting some space between Ophelia and him as he sped off towards the new keeper. He would have liked to give Xenia a little trouble just in case she was letting this captain thing go to her head but he couldn't resist giving the new guy a scare either, speeding as close too the hoops as was legal before flinging the quaffle through as he came to a sudden stop.
 
Amelie hummed softly, continuing her search.
 
Feeling pleased with himself, Eren hung back for a moment waiting to see if the other chasers would make a move on the quaffle first.
 
Claire got a hold of the quaffle once it was thrown back in, circling her way around towards the hoops the captain was guarding.
 
Xenia gave a fistpump when she saw that Eren scored, though she was impressed with the younger keeper's ability to face up to it. He was still only a second year, he'd improve with time. She refocused as their youngest chaser headed towards the goal she was guarding, preparing to defend. Even if they were still second years, Xenia wasn't intending to go easy on them.
 
When Claire was close enough to the hoops, she threw the quaffle towards the hoops, and smiled happily when she saw it had sailed through one of the hoops.
 
Eren followed behind Claire as she approached Xenia's hoops, not hiding his laugh when she managed to get past their captain. "Not going easy on her, right?" He said with a raised eyebrow, grabbing the quaffle as it was thrown back in.
 
It felt weird to think about that this was going to be her last year in the team. She had worked hard on everything, but Quidditch had always been her main priority. She was aiming her bludger for the seeker, but hit @Xenia Nikolaidou their keeper instead. In her defense the seeker had just passed the keeper so it wasn't exactly that far of.
 
Asclepius watched as the quaffle missed the hoops and when Eren picked it up and headed to the hoops. He followed behind him.
 
Xenia had gotten distracted, worrying about how she looked, and had been far too slow to block. She gave a smile to the chaser, wanting to be encouraging, but she was a bit annoyed with herself, and her smile quickly turned into a frown when Eren took the quaffle. "I didn't warm up properl-" she started, trying to make an excuse, before getting hit with a bludger. Xenia took a deep breath. "...good hit."
 
Eren bit back a snort when Xenia tried to explain herself before taking a bludger, which had to hurt. "Getting distracted already?" He said lightly, deciding to give Xenia a break and head towards the other keeper instead. He had one of the other chasers following behind him and while objectively, Eren knew he should probably play as a team and pass or something, but really he'd rather not. Instead, Eren hurried to make his shot, annoyed as he put too much spin on the throw and it went wide.
 
Bellamy scrambled to try and block the hoop as Eren came at him fast. He winced at the other boy nearly flew into him and he completely missed it as the quaffle went through. He was a little embarrassed but tried to be a good sport about it but he didn't appreciate it. At least their captain also missed the next block. He would have liked to think he had something to do with Eren missing the second time but considering how far his throw had gone from the hoops he knew he had nothing to do with it.
