Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice Y50/S1

[Lucy Holland]

Ravenclaw,PracticeLucy was buzzing with excitement as she joined her team on the pitch, bouncing slightly on the balls of her feet. Sure they hadn't done the best in the last championship, but a new year meant a new chance, and she was excited to have so many familiar faces she knew she could rely on to work hard back with them again. She beamed out at the team as she clapped for their attention, looking over the assembled group. "Hi everyone, welcome to our first practice! If it's your first year with us I'm Lucy, that's Lucy, and we're your co-captains." She said with a grin, gesturing to the other Lucy before she continued. "We've got a really strong group and I know this is gonna be our year, as long as everyone works hard and gives it all they've got. For today's practice we'll have two chaser teams going for the same hoop - Lucy and Theodore versus Magne and Cyrus. Fly a lap between each goal, so you can practice defending and passing. We've got two beater teams as well - Rosé and Audrey will be teamed with Magne and Cyrus, and Magdalene and I will be teamed with Lucy and Theodore. Lilith, your only goal is the snitch, and Violet you'll be defending against all four chasers. Let's go!" She mounted her broom and kicked off with a grin, bat swinging in her hand.

Chasers - Magne and Cyrus
Beaters - Audrey and Rosé

Chasers RP flying a lap before attempting each goal, everyone is aiming for Violet's hoops. This way you guys can have fun practicing passes and steals etc. like it's a real game, and hopefully poor Lilith won't wind up with four beaters all bludgeoning her at once

 

[Lucy Montague]

Lucy knew this year meant a lot. It was her last year, and she needed to beat Teddy. And Vanity. Marley, she could totally be on board with losing against. That would be fine. The other two? No way. Lucy got to the air and seized the quaffle and went on her first lap around the field.

 

[Lilith Ilves]

Lilith was happy to be back at school and back to quidditch. As she reached the pitch and Lucy gave her speech she gave a nod and a thumbs up to the captain about the snitch. She then got on her broom and began the never ending search of the snitch.

Soaring into the air Lucy swept towards a bludger and aimed it for Audrey, ready to come at the other team hard, but the shot went wide and she groaned in disappointment.

 

[Lilith Ilves]

Lilith kept an eye out for any incoming bludgers.

Pulling her broom around wide, Lucy looked eagerly for a shot to present itself.

 

[Theodore Harper]

theo flew up into the air after hearing the captains, and instantly followed lucy for support

 

[Lilith Ilves]

Not a snitch to be seen but Lilith thought she saw a bird flying by the pitch, perhaps an owl carrying a letter we may never know.

 

[Rose Glass]

Rose was a little nervous about her first proper practise session, but a glance to Lilith had her feeling as though at least she wasn't alone, she had at least one person she knew. Mounting her broom, she gave Audrey a smile, hoping she wouldn't feel too disappointed to have been paired with Rose.

Spotting a good angle Lucy pulled her broom around sharply and swung, aiming for Audrey. The two of them had always made a good pair, but it was fun to put a bit of pressure on her co-beater. She cheered slightly when the hit landed, flying a loop-de-loop in celebration.

Audrey liked the way this practice was set up, it was a fun way to handle things and it took some pressure off of poor Lilith, as they seemingly had a lot of beaters. Not that she could judge, being one herself. She was caught off guard by Lucy getting a hit on her, and with a grin sent it right back to the co-captain. Turnabout was fair play, after all. @Lucy Holland

[Lilith Ilves]

Lilith glanced at one of the younger ones, Rosè, as she got to flying and shot the second year a smile. She was also glad to see that the beaters seemed to be going at each other… for now.

 

[Rose Glass]

Rose watched apprehensively as the older Beaters started hitting each other. Flying closer to Audrey, Rose found the second bludger and tried to balance things out by aiming toward Maggie, but watched in horror as the Bludger found @Lucy Montague instead. Her first hit and it was straight at a Captain.

[Cyrus Thorne]

2a I think

Cyrus flew close to Lucy, hoping for a chance to steal the quaffle from her. It came in the form of a bludger. When she was hit, he managed to take the quaffle from her grasp. He flew off with it quickly.

 

[Lilith Ilves]

Lilith was looking for the snitch but so far she hadn't caught a single glint of it. What she did see however was Rosé smacking a bludger and hitting one of the captains. Lili gave a small whoop of encouragement to the second year who looked quite horrified, before continuing on her search of the snitch.

 

[Magdalene Grey]

Maggie was excited for practice and glad she had held her spot as alternate on the team. She listened to Lucy's plan for the practice and took to her broom, going after a bludger as she watched a few of her teammates already make contact.

 

[Rose Glass]

Rose relaxed a little hearing Lilith cheer, remembering that even if these were her teammates, it was good if she could hit them because it would all help her to practise.

 

[Lilith Ilves]

Lilith saw a glint of gold in the distance, the only problem was it was on the other side so the seeker began weaving her way through the other players and bludgers flying around trying not to get hit in the process.

 

[Magdalene Grey]

Maggie took a quick whack at a bludger and watched it go towards the open air instead of her intended target.

 

[Lilith Ilves]

While Lilith kept following the snitch and trying to get closer she thought whether or not her siblings would try out for the teams of whichever house they'd be sorted into next year. Leo she supposed for sure would.

 

[Magdalene Grey]

Maggie kept flying around, trying to catch up with a bluder for a good hit.

 

[Lilith Ilves]

Just as she thought she was about to catch the snitch the cursed thing decided to do a sharp turn and Lilith lost sight of it yet again.

 

[Rose Glass]

Rose dodged out the way of a flying Bludger before it hit her, changing direction to chase after it.

Maggie hovered for a moment before flying back around the pitch to search for another bludger.

Spotting another bluder, Rose lowered herself on her broom and flew in its direction, hoping someone else wouldn't get there first.
