Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice Y44 S1

Audrey busied herself practicing her swing.

Hamish fell back into it, continuing his search for the snitch.

Audrey hit a bludger at no one.

Hamish continued his search.

Hamish and Michael’s kindness was so overwhelming, Rion almost started to cry again. All she had done so far was miss and cry and shout at the beaters. She didn’t deserve their support. But with Michael hovering nearby, she felt far less vulnerable, and a new, modest determination stirred within her. “Thank you,” she said earnestly. “OK.” The quaffle was coming back into play. Now was her chance. Pushing down on her broom, she dove and grabbed it.

Amauri followed Rion in case she needed help.

Savannah did not catch the snitch.

Hamish continued his search.

Xiuying noticed that there were a few people hovering around the young chaser and she decided to make her way towards the group. She was about to ask if everything was okay but listened to the conversation going on instead. She chuckled a little at Michael's comment. "He's right, I wasn't the best when I started" Xiuying says with a nod. "But if you do decide you need a break or need to go to the hospital wing, feel free to, I won't stop you" Xiuying reassured the younger girl. She rather her team be safe and healthy than tired. She nodded when Rion decided she was ok, and Xiuying followed on with following Rion as she currently had the hold of the quaffle.

Rion found it difficult to believe Xiuying had ever been bad at quidditch, but her kind words were encouraging all the same. Quaffle tucked under her arm, she nodded gratefully at the captain before speeding towards the hoops. Her awkward throw reignited the pain in her ribs, and she clutched her side as she watched the quaffle sail off in the wrong direction. Again. How long would everybody's patience last before they realised she was never going to get any better?

Hamish continued his search.

Amauri swooped in to grab the Quaffle, vowing to herself that this would be the one. Otherwise what was she even doing here!

Savannah did not catch the snitch.

Rion flew back to watch Amauri, gripping her broom as tightly as she could to distract herself from the pain.

Savannah did not catch the snitch.

Amauri threw the Waffle and once again missed the hoop tremendously. She paused in the air, wondering if she was playing with a jinxed broom or something.

Rory dived to grabbed the quaffle when Amauri tried and failed to score and started heading to the hoops on the other side of the pitch.

Savannah did not catch the snitch.

Rory got closer to the hoops and took a shot and cheered when he saw it go through.

Monday was relieved that he didn't have to stop practicing. He whacked another bludger away from one of the players and kept flying.

Savannah did not catch the snitch.

Amauri was relieved when Rory scored a goal; at least one of them caught besides the Captain. Amauri grabbed her broom once more and shot through the air to tuck it back under her arm before a bludger could knock it from her grasp.

Rion watched Rory score, but she still couldn't figure out what he was doing differently to her. She stayed hovering a little way away from the hoops, too queasy to move much.

Hamish continued his search.

Michael aimed a bludger towards the alternate seeker, but it veered off and hit @Monday Weeks instead. He winced, looking over to make sure his fellow beater was alright.
