Xiuying couldn't believe that it was her last year on the team. She had been in the Ravenclaw team for a couple of years now, and she honestly quite enjoyed it. There was so much to learn and enjoy as captain and she liked it a lot. She made sure to be on the quidditch pitch as early as she could. The weather had been okay. It had been raining earlier in the day, so the pitch was still a little damp from the earlier rain. It was sunny now, with clouds scattered around the blue sky, with a little bit of wind.

Xiuying set up the pitch a little earlier as she wanted to try and be as prepared as she could. She made sure to grab a few broomsticks for the players that didn't have any and some water just in case the team needed any at any point during practice. Xiuying stood on the pitch as the team started to slowly sweep into the pitch. "Good morning everyone! Welcome to the new players and also welcome back to returning players! I'll try and make this fast so we can get started!" Xiuying says with a smile as she looked at the players. "We have our game with Gryffindor real soon! Practise as hard as you all can! Make sure to do your part. Chasers, take turns with the quaffle. Make sure to do some passes! Beaters, hit the bludgers as hard as you can as well as trying to defend the seekers. Seekers and Keepers, practise catching the snitch and blocking if you can" Xiuying says with an encouraging smile. "Lets do this!"

OOCOut of Character:

No arrivals needed! Just go right ahead and practice!

Hamish made it down to the pitch, smiling at the Captain before taking off into the air and beginning his search.

Michael had his new broom and bat, and was keen to take to the skies. He still wasn't quite convinced he should be playing beater, but he felt kind of stuck in the role. Maybe next year he'd see if he could change. For now, he started looking for bludgers to hit.

Audrey was not totally surprised she was on the team - she had had Quidditch drilled into her from the moment she could mount a broom, after all. Even though she was a first year, she knew what she was doing. She felt a bit weird about it, but she took to the sky and looked for bludgers to hit.

Hamish continued his search.

Savannah arrived at the the pitch for the practice and did not immediately catch the snitch.

Monday mounted on his broom once he arrived and went up into the air.

Rion could hardly look her teammates in the eye as she arrived at the pitch, broom in hand. A prefect had kindly repaired it for her, though the bristles were sticking out at odd angles. She had no idea why Xiuying had picked her, nor why she'd turned up; she was only going to embarrass herself even further. But it was a distraction from the feelings that followed her around on the ground, and so she took to the sky and grabbed the quaffle, heading for the hoops.

Savannah did not catch the snitch.

Crystal made her way to the pitch for the first practice again. She really needed it and hoped she would do good in her final year. Also to win a game would be nice to experiance since she only played quidditch since last year. She made her way to the left hoops and waited for the chasers to take their attempt. Some new members were on the team so it was fun to see how they would do.

Amauri was ecstatic to have made the team. Even as an “spare” she was just glad to be starting somewhere. She joined the others on the pitch and followed the chasers into the air, hopeful she’d get a chance to show her skills.

Savannah did not catch the snitch.

As Amauri watched Rion closely to see whether she would score. the first year was ready to grab the Quaffle at the next chance.

Savannah did not catch the snitch.

Monday located a bludger and smacked it toward Hamish Reid, but it took a sudden turn and managed to hit @Rion Pendleton instead. Monday winced slightly since she was a new player, but eh, better get used to it, right?

Crystal waited for an first attempt. Who was gonna try the first time?

Rion was so focused on the hoops that she didn't see the bludger flying towards her, and as she raised her arm it hit her straight in the ribs. Crying out, she dropped the quaffle.

Savannah did not catch the snitch.

Amauri didn't see the bludger coming, but heard it when it collided with Rion. She winched, and while part of her wanted to make sure her teammate was okay, she couldn't just leave the Quaffle falling out the skies. She darted forward to grab it with one hand, flying back towards the hoop.

Rory made his way out onto the Quidditch pitch with a broom in hand and once practice started he mounted his broom and joined his teammates in the air. He saw as one of the first year chasers grabbed the quaffle and he went to fly alongside her in case she needed to pass.

Michael didn't get near enough to a bludger and it sailed past him.

Audrey hit a bludger, but it didn't go near any teammates.

Amauri flew up to the hoops, throwing the Quaffle as hard as she could, but was disappointed to see it didn’t go in.

Tears streaming down her face, Rion swooped toward the quaffle. She couldn't do this. The pain in her side was so intense she was almost seeing stars, and her hands were sweating and the pitch was spinning and any moment now she was going to fall...

And then the quaffle was under her arm, and she was alive, and though her ribs hurt she could still throw. Gritting her teeth, she drew back up and passed to the nearest chaser.
